My daughter saw him years ago we had to wait hours for the appointment- he wanted to do ci placated surgery her Hopkins ENT thought she didn’t need it.

Dr. Prasad is great, but his administrative staff are the most incompetent I've ever interacted with. Everything is always done incorrectly, lost, or you are flat out lied to, all the while being hostile towards you for having a health problem.

Similar to those before me, overcharged. Removal of some ear wax (~5 seconds) to get a better view led to a $115 charge on a bill that arrived 6 months after the visit. What a joke.

Doctor Prasad saw me for less than 3 mins and charged me about $200. I guess it’s normal, most doctors see us as ATM. Month later I received a bill for over $600. When I first called to figure out what that bill meant, I was told it was a mistake. 2 months later I received the same bill and when I called again to make sure they fix the mistake I was welcome with rude, uneducated and entitled staff who instead of taking responsibility for the office’s mistake, tried to blame the system. I tried to talk to the manager but of course they hung up saying I was nasty to them. The funniest part of all this was when the incompetent staff member told me she has worked there for 9 years , and never received a complaint when even before reading the reviews it was obvious that you don’t suddenly become rude and entitled just because a person asked them to fix their mistake . When you are part of a company, you take responsibility for the mistake and you fix the problem within the company . Obviously apart from treating people like ATM’s and charging for services not rendered there is a serious lack of leadership and integrity in that office. I ususally don't write reviews but I felt like I needed to write this one because of the nonsense charges. He charged $360.00 for a nasal endoscopy that he didn't even perform. He merely looked into my nose and said there was some congestion and then tried to put me on immunotherapy with no other information. He INCORRECTLY diagnosed that I had an infection in my right sinus when I told him it was my left (which was confirmed from a CT scan). Didn't even do a culture swab test to see what bacteria was infecting my nose and put me on on some random antibiotics. He also seemed like he was in a hurry becuase I didn't even finish talking about my symptoms when he prescribed to some antibiotics and left. I went to a more established practice with multiple doctors and my experience was far much better there. I came to see dr.prasad with a horrible sinus infection. I’ve tried many antibiotics that did not help before and went through many horrible doctors. I was desperate and that’s what dr.prasad tried to take an advantage of. He scheduled a ct in which he told me that results were horrible and everything was in mucous and I have to do a balloon surgery ASAP and there’s no other cure for me, but he told me that I might go blind or mental issues as the complications the surgery but that’s rare. He also told me to do the allergy test which I made an appointment to. I was in shocked and did not even know what to ask. He was super quick and kept asking “questions? Questions?” And I didn’t even know what to ask, so he kinda kicked me out bc he is quick and I was in shock after all those scary things he told me. Once I left I had time to calm down and think and read. In which I read that if I have sinusitis bc if allergies the balloon thing will not help and that’s just an unnecessary risk. So I called the office and the lady on the front desk that was not nice by the way told me that Dr is very busy and he won’t come to the phone to talk about it and of course I have to make an appointment or she can answer all my questions. Obviously she could not answer any of my questions and refused to even call the nurse, but she told me that there’s do alternatives to the balloon procedure. I came for the allergy test (keep in mind that the whole time I have horrible sinusitis, to the point that I couldn’t breath or sleep), some nurse did the test, was very inexperienced and could answer any of my and my husband questions. Dr. Prasad came in for a sec and told me to put vasiline in my nose to treat sinusitis while I wait for the surgery. So I was tested positive to several allergens and when I asked about the effectiveness of balloon surgery and allergies the nurse didn’t know and the dr was long gone. They offered me allergy shots as the treatment. I ended up going to a different office in which my sinusitis was treated success with medications and apparently I was told that the allergy test was not even done correctly. It supposed to consist out of two parts, but they only did one (which is half of the test) so time and money wasted. Thank god I had my husband who saved me from getting that balloon surgery! This office is actually keep sending me a bill for an appointment that I never had, if they actually charged my insurance money for an imaginary appointment that considers a fraud FYI! Only issues I've had is the wait time. I would say that should be worked on, but staff and Dr. Prasad are GREAT. I was in the office when a patient was erratic over something poor girls up front had no control over. I work in the medical industry, and know first hand how people can be. Take it from me you will get more out of people by being nice, and not taking out the frustration you may have with the doctor on staff. Overall he's great just needs to be better with time. I consulted him regarding hearing loss. After over half an hour wait, he barely spent five minutes. He heard my complaint and had a brief look in my ear, immediately recommending surgery. He said he had performed this thousands of times since this is a very common condition. That was the only visit I had with him and along with the office visit fee, I got billed close to $400 for some procedure that was neither performed nor covered by insurance. I called the office to speak with the doctor so I could find out why he billed for something that was never done. No one called back and ultimately this went to collections and ruined my credit report.

His office scheduled my follow up appointment after having me get a CT scan on my sinuses. Was also to get an allergy test. I show up with CT disc in hand and the door was locked. Same ladies who scheduled my appointment told me I didn't have one, even though I had the appointment sheet filled out by them in my hand. Though Dr. Prasad was there, he refused to see me. The excuse was that he was in a meeting and leaving early. Guy obviously doesn't care about patients. I told the lady I'd take the CT scan as a loss and not come back. She was okay with that.

Excellent care

Always attentive and caring staff. Dr Prasad is not just a talented physician but cares deeply about his patients and has a great bedside manner!

I have been going to Dr. Prasad for years. He is a great doctor, he explains every step and he is passionate about what he does. I was recommended to him because he is one of the best in the area. I had the misfortune of an appointment with Dr. Sanjay Pradad in 2011. The front desk was nasty and bothered when I asked how much longer after waiting over an hour pass my appointment time . He gives you the sales pitch and is always “ running late . I was given a hearing test and told what I already knew . I had woken up one day and suddenly lost some hearing in my left ear . He of course went right into his pitch . He wanted to operate on my left ear to implant steroids . All information I had researched indicated it sometimes worked If done right away but less successful over time . He lied and assured me it was not too late . Weeks had passed before they could finally scheduled the procedure and of course it filled his pockets and was useless . My ear has been sensitive to cold , and has never been right since . At the follow up he could have cared less about my concerns and pitched me on the most expensive hearing aid they offered . It felt uncomfortable, not because I needed to get used to it but as I stated , my ear has been very sensitive and just not right since he wasted thousands of Care First money . I thought it was overpriced and he then proceeded to the Cancellation Close . Try it , you can return it in 14 days . I figured why not ? I will use him like he used his patients for a “ free test ride “ and it would give me a week or so to price it elsewhere. It was more than $500 more with Dr. rip off. I called to schedule an appointment to go back and return it . Of course they could not get me in till the 15th day . When I voiced my concern to the condescending girl who took the call she said she would note it and I should not worry . Those S_B’s made me again wait forever to tell me tough luck it was 15 days and I owned it . Nasty could care less , you are a pain in the neck attitude. Tough . I asked to at least have it adjusted and show me how to use it . The Audiologist was busy, running late and had no time . She would call me and set a time for me . That never happened. When I called them I was ticked off with the nasty attitude on the phone and was hung up on . I called back and was hung up on again . I waited a couple of days and asked to speak to the Office Mgr . When I got her on the phone she put me on hold and never picked up . Our vet treats us and my Golden retrievers with more respect than Dr. Pradad and his mostly staff about a month ago I called Dr. Greed’s office . I wanted to have my hearing aid adjusted and try to use it before spending money on a new one . no one wanted to answer my questions and scheduled an appointment for me to see the Audiologist. Waited forever. I was just revenue , not a person When I mentioned to Dr Pradad That I was good but had some congestion he started telling me that I need a procedure where he would put balloons up my nose and fracture my skull . Are you kidding me ? Then he was out the door and sent me to have the hearing test . Then again the Aidiologist had no time to check my hearing aid . After waiting for 20 minutes Dr. Money comes in and says you need hearing aids . No kidding ! I could schedule for him to fracture my skull or get gouged for new hearing aids at the front desk and he was “ gone with the wind “ . I have researched this man . He is very involved with several businesses outside his practice and every patient that walks through the door is nothing more than his next cruise , addition to his home , or capital for his business ventures .If my experience can help one person stay away from this money gouging miserable experience offered by Dr Sanjay Prada’s practice I have not wasted my time . Do not go to this doctor for an ear problem. I made an appointment with his office. I showed up on time. I waited for 45 minutes. Dr. Prasad finally came into the room and stayed two minutes. He has the worst bedside manner. Instead of evaluating me, he told me to come back for an "evaluation" and left the room. What a waste of time. I drove an hour to get there and waited 45 minutes to see him - for what? Nothing! He should be ashamed of himself for billing the insurance companies for meaningless appointments. Dr. Prasad accurately diagnosed my Meniere's Disease and recommended a course of treatment that allowed me to resume my normal daily activities and go back to work. The other Doctors at another practice completely overlooked this same diagnosis.

Ive been going to Dr Prasad for well over 15 years. I had multiple surgeries preformed by Dr.Prasad. He has restored my hearing from practically nothing to being able to hear very good . Ive never had a bad experience like many others have that have posted reviews. I may have waited 30min or so to be seen but nothing i haven't experienced at other doctor appointments. My husband drove an hour and a half each way, three hours total for appointment in Waldorf office only to find it closed. When he called Rockville office, they said the doctor was out of the country. Nobody called, texted or emailed to let my husband know this. The office personnel are rude, disorganized and have an attitude.

He is a doctor with the worst bedside manner! His office set the clock 15 minutes early on the TV in their waiting room. I waited for more than 30 minutes, and went up to the front desk and I saw the doc in the hallway. When I asked him how much longer he will be, he said: Don't rush me! I'm running as fast as I can! I told him I'm not trying to rush him, I just can't wait for much longer, he said: well, then reschedule!!! Don't rush me!!!! And I found out there was another paintient ahead of me!!! I came early knowing I’d have to wait. But not for 50 minutes and counting. When I was taken to an examining room, I waited again. When I had enough I walked out. And I noticed Dr. Prasad in a room, relaxed and on his laptop with no patient. It looked like he didn’t know he had a patient waiting to see him! I asked front office and all she could say was he’s running behind & he got out of surgery. And I’m looking at her thinking AND? SO? What’s your point? Never returning.

Dr. Prasad is a fine physician & a nice man, but in my experience, he's very unreliable where his appts are concerned. Indeed, his office as standard operating procedure schedules, then cancels & re-schedules appts numerous times due to changes in his personal & surgical schedule. He's also inconsiderate when it comes to respecting his patients' time b/c he is rarely on time. The Fairfax office opens at 9 AM, but he will arrive 30-60 mins late, so all the patients are backed up in wait room.
