Sara Choudhry

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2011. Had thyroidectomy with lymph node removal. After radioactive iodine I was referred to Dr Choudhry. Dr Choudhry got me through it. She knows the necessary scans & tests that need to be done to keep me cancer free. Thank God for his blessings and for Dr Choudhry for her knowledge.

I highly recommend Dr Choudhry and her staff. The best appointment I have ever had concerning my diabetes. Absolutely wonderful.

I don’t know understand the negative feedback about this doctor. Are you sure you have the correct one? The first time I went to this office I had a male doctor who was in training or something but he barely talked to me. Then, in barges this short, overweight, red head with an attitude. She was telling me that metformin was not a miracle drug. And I was like…ok?? I never said it was nor do I want to be on it but you’re making it like I’m trying to get it. And then she told me, a patient with pcos and insulin resistance, that diet and exercise is the only thing for me. Oh wow. Why didn’t I think of that?! HOWEVER, I decided to give the office another try after doing research on Dr Choudhry. Her bio says she has done research on insulin resistance and pcos and I thought ok great! And to my surprise she was everything I was hoping for. She took her time with me, I didn’t feel rushed, I could understand everything she was saying, she took the time to educate me on my issues, the possible ways I had gotten them, and the possible treatments for them. She answered all my questions, I never once felt like I was bothering her. I also never even felt like she was being frank with me. I felt like she was normal! She never pushed any medication on me, she told me which ones might help and we left off with me waiting to see mg gyno for further help. Between her and my gyno, I believe I’m building a great team of care for my issues. I think sometimes people go in either seeking a certain outcome and being mad when it doesn’t happen or they lie or leave information out and that would make the doctor’s job more difficult and thus they get a little impatient with you. You have to remember that they see a lot of patients a day. Dr. Amori was straight up rude without even doing my actual assessment, the other guy did. When I say she just barged in, I mean she just barged in. It was bizarre. But Dr. Choudhry gave me no signs of being rude at all. And this is not a paid review lol I wish it was! I really don’t understand all the negative feedback. My visit went surprisingly great and I’ve had awful visits from endos before. I finally feel like I’m getting somewhere. She’s very knowledgeable about pcos and insulin resistance.

Bad bedside manner.

Dr. Choudhry is rude, arrogant and could care less how you feel and instead focuses on lab results. Then her and her PA's make federal cases out of borderline labs resulting in more and more testing, more visits and ultimately no conclusions on their part,,except to get more labs. If I could give less then 1 star I would. That offices motto should be your healthcare is our business not our concern. Told the Dr in my appointment my insurance would not cover certainly medications. They were prescribed anyway. Several phone calls back and forth with office staff. Was told to call my insurance with questions. I did. Called them back with the answers that they could of easily gotten themselves instead of me being the middle man. No one answers their phone, so always leaving messages. 3 weeks and no one would call me back. Huge waste of time and money. I left a message again about how I felt blown off, if they were not going to return my calls, then cancel my follow up appointment. I got no call back, just a notice from the St Luke's app saying my appointment was cancelled. Patient beware!! If I could give less then 1 star I would. I had an appointment that I was 13 minutes late for because of construction. I have never been late for any appointments. I have had my appointments changed numerous times by the incompetent office staff. I have also had to wait quite a while to see her. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair and travelled quite a ways to get there. None of that mattered. I will never come back.

Dr. Choudhry treated my wife for sometime. While I appreciated her 'frankness' , she often appeared 'bothered' about providing treatment. She appeared to limit herself to focus on pharmacology over 'life-style' changes. Therefore, prescribed medications rapidly increased with her increased frustration with lab results. Dr. Choudhry spent time to explain my condition thoroughly with me. She was very helpful. Her staff was also very nice, professional and courteous.

Incompetent!! Do NOT WASTE MONEY!! She completely neglects patients needs and concerns. Please save yourself the trouble and do not go to this doctor, it really makes you wonder where she had her training. I'm really surprised she passed her exams with the poor level of knowledge she handles herself!

So far, I have had 2 visits with her. She was not rude. She tells you how it is and what the future could hold. I felt she listened to my symptoms and my fears. I have to have bloodwork every 6 weeks for adjustments. She has looked at those results and had her staff call me within 24-48 hours of my results to give me adjustments needed for my thyroid meds. I will continue to see her. So far, I have had 2 visits with her. She was not rude. She tells you how it is and what the future could hold. I felt she listened to my symptoms and my fears. Don't waste your time with her or this practice. I had to read my own diagnosis online (post bloodwork) and have been calling for three full days trying to get answers on medication and next steps. I fibally got a nurse on the phone who gave me wrong information and was very rude to me. When i asked why nobody called me with my bloodwork results (which they had for several business days), she said "we get busy.' I am elevating this to the practice manager and to administrators at St. Luke's.

She has few conversational skills and no empathy. Her knowledge of her area seems to be focused on conveying numbers and figures, as if she worked in a lab. I would not recommend her. The female physicians assistant was a kind, bright spot, but she's not the doctor.

Although Dr. Choudhry was attentive in the initial visit , the PA (who she is ultimately responsible for )saw me in the follow up visit and was dismissive and shallow. If as a professional, you do not have the answers, admit so and either find them or explain you have no explaination and with empathy lead your patient in the right direction. Do not leave your patient to feel as they are to blame for YOUR incompetence.

Dr. Choudhry does not explain what is going on. In fact, it took 2 years for the P.A. to ask for a vitamin D check from the time I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Once I had it tested, levels were extremely low and other doctors said she should have checked when my hypothyroidism diagnosis came. Not to mention it took several visits for her to explain I actually had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. After a while I never saw her, only the P.A. Practice is disorganized and staff not friendly at all.

TERRIBLE doctor!!!!! Don't waste your time seeking treatment from her. If you are not a text book case with text book lab results and a simple typical symptom list, she will not even bother to TRY to help you. No doctor patient relationship at all. No concern for HOW you are feeling - no concern at all for your symptoms, just let her use her little slide rule to match up your symptoms and lab results with a diagnosis. If it's too complicated or not by the book, she won't even bother. Doesn't listen, just sits and regurgitates text book data and lab result ranges at you. Furthermore, she's rude and arrogant.
