Dr. Sara Shaw Nicholas

She misdiagnosed me in pregnancy causing thousands of dollars worth of tests. She ruined the pregnancy and caused my family to be in medical debt. Not even an apology and no repercussions for her. Try to avoid her if you can

Wonderful experience with Dr. Nicholas. She was patient with me and my concerns. I had a history of miscarriage and an incompetent cervix. I was treated well and carried my baby to term :)

Great doctor, very knowledgeable and kind

We had reached out to MLWH and Dr. Nicholas for a 2nd opinion based upon some complications during pregnancy. Unfortunately, we did not receive the care that you would come to expect at a "premier" doctor and institution. We found Dr. Nicholas to be incorrectly confident and condescending. She was quick to make a an uninformed counter diagnosis to our original that drove us into an unnecessary amniocentesis, fetal MRI's, anxiety, increased high blood pressure and an overall torturous pregnancy.

i would never recommend this doctor!! She is rude, condescending and not compassionate at all. She laughed when I explained my fears of delivery (given that I had a horrific prior birth experience I had every right to be scared). She chastised me and tried to force me into getting my tubes tied so she "didn't have to deal with this same conversation in three years." I was appalled and hurt by her behavior. She ruined this experience for me...

My family had a wonderful experience with Dr. Nicholas throughout two pregnancies. She is extremely knowledgable and thoughtful. She diligently provided and discussed with us, at length, all the information we needed about both pregnancies, so that we could make the most educated decisions possible. She treats her patients with superior care and it is due to her careful attention that we have been able to expand our family.

Extremely knowledgable and friendly. Truly cares about her patients. Wonderful office staff.

Dr. Nicholas has an excellent bedside manner. Her perspective was fresh, educated and encouraging when we were dealing with some difficult decisions. I now go out of my way to schedule my follow up ultrasounds when I can be seen only by her.

Loved working with Dr. Nicholas. She was extremely knowledgable, easy to talk to, and thorough in answering questions. It was clear that this wasn't just another pregnancy to her, but that she was truly invested in the little lives that were growing.

Super smart and qualified Doctor but has terrible bedside manner. Too much information too fast and presents everything in a negative way. She would scare the crap out of any pregnant woman. After every appointment I would feel anxious until I talked to my regular OBGYN.
