Dr. Sasha Oommen Joseph

He is a compassionate doctor who knows his stuff. Easy to talk with. He explains options clearly and carefully.

Horrible experience! I was referred to Dr. Joseph for my cancer diagnosis. Starting with my first visit, he was very arrogant and kept making a point of telling me that he was going on vacation the following week. Throughout the appointment, it was obvious that he hadn't read through the info that had been forwarded by my primary care physician. Over the following week, I noticed that his office staff was extremely unorganized, calls were almost never returned, nor did I receive test results within the timeframe I was told I would receive them. At the time that Dr. Joseph went on vacation, I was in extreme pain and he left me without a proper pain management plan and no follow up appointments! I had asked him before he left if we should get something on the books and his reply was "I'll get in touch with you once I'm back and we'll discuss a plan". I immediately self-referred to a new oncologist and had all of my info forwarded from Dr. Joseph's office.

I saw Dr. Joseph today for an Iron Deficiency Anemia consultation. I've suffered with IDA since at least 2003. When over the counter iron supplements were not working, my GP doc gave me a referral to a hematologist. No one has ever taken my IDA seriously until this year. He asked me in depth questions to try and get to the bottom of the problem, and wanted to know what questions I had. Rarely find that with doctors these days. We worked out a great plan to hopefully get my levels back to normal.

He is straight forward, compassionate and a great listener. Love him!

when I was seen in his office the nurse had the wrong chart. she had hardly any info on me when she did find my chart. this by the way is what she told my mom and I. after he talked to us about the pill he was recommending for hormonal therapy, I told him I had liver issues. he said he didn't realize that so I wouldn't be able to take that one anyway. we'd have to talk about it at my next visit. he examined me at another time with other doctors weeks before.

Dr. Joseph is trustworthy, compassionate, and very competent. I highly recommend him.
