Dr. Scott Taber Ball

I’ve had my left and right hip replaced by Dr. Ball (different time frames) & he did an amazing job on both. This last surgery was in an out patient facility and I came home the same day. In home PT followed up the next day then came 2x weekly for 4 weeks. They said his patients tend to recover very fast and I was no exception. Only used a walker for 4 days then was walking fine on my own. Dr Ball has a positive bedside manner and a great PA and team. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

Overall disappointing. The one thing Scott Ball is good at, besides manipulating Medicare rules, is production. He employs his "fast recovery" methods for purely monetary reward and less than earned recognition as a super doc. Dr. Ball is skilled, but not worth the trouble to any but his preferred insured. His office wait time is shameful, too many patients wait hours because he continually, intentionally over books. His staff/scheduler is pressured into over-booking. Preferred patients receive much better bedside manner from Dr. Ball than others whose reimbursement is less. His staff is comprised of underlings whose first priority is to protect their boss from liability. Dr. Ball is all about promoting himself and his family through connections and privilege he established through an Orange County, CA. upbringing and lasting attitude. I strongly recommend patients move on to access authentic patient care. Because I'm not the litigious type, I choose to review candidly - It's not slander if true. It's not defamation when accurate.

Dr.Scott T. Ball is fantastic orthopedic surgeon who takes time with his patients and at the same time treats each one as if they were his only patient. His has a vast knowledge in the field of hip and knee treatments and is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to obtaining surgical excellence. He is truly an absolute gift to his profession. God saved my life using this facility

My hip surgery was seamless. Nothing like going from being essentially crippled to being full service once again. What a skilled and delightful man Dr. Ball is.

I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Ball and his staff. I had my right hip replaced last November. The whole process was so well organized and professional. I could not believe that I was not anxious for one second. I felt so comfortable with Dr. Ball and his staff. Anesthesia was terrific, nursing was great. I stayed overnight and went home to recover. Excellent bedside manner and superb surgeon.

Dr. Ball did a total hip replacement for me in Feb 2020 and from the initial visit he was top notch! He was patient, thorough in answering all my questions as did his PA. The surgery went better than expected and my recover was relatively quick with minimal amount of pain. I was back to swimming and other activities without restrictions in 3 months and am enjoying the active lifestyle I was seeking again from the replacement. Highly recommend and will go back to have him do the other him if / when needed. Couldn't be happier!

Fantastic surgeon, I had bi-lateral knee replacement and the recovery has been miraculous, one very happy and surprised patient. Driving and back to work in 3 weeks, ditched cane at 4 weeks now after 8 weeks can really see the end of the tunnel. My PT says they are also highly surprised at the speed of recovery.

I just had a very tricky knee replacement for and old failing one. Dr. Ball is an extraordinary surgeon, and in person he exuded confidence that makes you feel like you can totally trust his skill. Yes, it takes 3 months for the initial appointment... That's how good and highly recommended he is. But once you see him, he will provide very highly skilled care. I had one of the most damaged knees he has seen, and he took 5 hours rebuilding it. He was right there a few hours later to give a relaxed non-rushed explanation of everything he did. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Scott Ball is the best! I'm so glad that I found him. After a decade of SERIOUS debilitating pain in my knee due to arthritis (bone on bone), Dr. Ball performed total knee replacement surgery. Using the latest technology and methods (using a special glue instead of staples to close my incision), I am now pain FREE!! With just a line going down my knee. I am 41 and had a total right hip replacement. I experienced almost zero post operative pain and did not have any bruising!! I was able to climb the staircase (12 steps) in my home DAY 3 out of surgery and was swimming day 25 out from surgery! I have my life back and I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Ball and his team. Had total knee replacement on both knees in 2017. The best thing I ever did. I feel like a brand new person. Minimal pain, minimal down time. Office was most accommodating. Highly recommend Dr Ball and his staff.

If you are a new patient expect to wait 2 to 3 months to see him; this what I was told by his office.. Also if you are having issues after a knee replacement by someone else, he requires that you send him all of your x-rays and medical records so he can decide if he wants to see you. Is it just me, or does anyone else think both a the mark of a physician who doesn't understand or care about patients in pain or who need help acutely? Perhaps he doesn't need or want new patients.

The best knee replacement doctor anywhere. He is extremely knowledgeable, and is highly regarded by all professionals who work with him. I found both Dr.Ball and his staff, specifically his PA James Hamilton, to be caring, compassionate, thorough, and did an excellent job on my knee replacement surgery. He is very busy, booked ahead for months, but well worth the wait if that's required.

Dr. Ball was my second opinion. I waited 2 hours to see him. When he walked in he said ' I have a conference call in two minutes, but I'll give you a little more time than that'. He didn't even touch me to examine me. Told me unless my hip dislocated not to fix my issue and that was it. I found a doctor who diagnosed me as hyper mobile, and the pain I had was cup and stem actually hitting each other. Which he might have known if he examined me. My revision went great. No thanks to him.

Exceptionally competent physician. I had a knee replacement. Everything was efficiently and carefully handled from beginning to end. Additionally, Dr. Ball is a compassionate and approachable physician. I hold him in the highest regard and recommend him with the strongest regard..

Had a hip replacement by Dr. Ball a little over a year ago and my hip turned out great. Recovery went very well and I am now free of that excruciating hip joint pain! I highly recommend Dr Ball - he is a skilled and personable surgeon who cares about his patients.
