Wish I could give a review of services but I can't, they refused to see me. That's right refused, the nurse and office managers didn't even have the professional courtesy to tell me themselves. They had an office person tell me, to avoid having to defend themselves no doubt. Three reasons were mentioned: 1. Tufts, because I'm seen for a MEDICAL condition affecting me orally I was told to have the surgery there. 2. I have MEDICAID, that was mentioned BUT no mention of my DENTAL INSURANCE. 3. Only seeing Addison residents. #3 could have been stated BEFORE I filled out all the info required and sent in my med records. Avoiding the unpleasant conversation completely. But it was never mentioned and therefore a moot point. #1 is beyond me. I don't see a dentist there it's only for a my medical condition. To be told to travel out of state, spend 100's for motel rooms, have someone miss 2 days of work to travel with me, etc for a procedure that can be done in VERMONT is ridiculous. Using Tufts is an easy out for them. 2. Medicaid. That's the real reason. Money. I have dental insurance and the means to pay for the work that NEEDS to be done. This isn't cosmetic work but necessary work that needs to be done. But no one discussed finances with me, just used my medical condition as a convenient excuse not to state the real reason for dismissing me...money. I truly pity the woman given the task to tell me, it's not her job. It's the job of the nurse and/or the office manager, they made the determination. In the end I will find a VERMONT oral surgeon who'll perform the surgery I need. Who'll have the professional courtesy to speak with me directly to determine my financial means to pay for the procedure. Perhaps I should be thankful it played out this way...if this is the level of professionalism and respect for persons BEFORE they're patients I can only imagine how you're treated in the office. The staff are awesome and Dr. Bowen did an excellent job for my oral surgery and bone grafting Thank you all!

Dr Bowen is arrogant and rude as is his staff. He's a know it all and unable to admit fault. His nurses and receptionist are hostile and rude. I wouldn't bring my dog to this practice. Truthfully the worst oral surgeon I've ever been to.

The worst oral surgeon I have ever been to. He's hostile, arrogant and abrupt with his patients. I found him to be extremely unfriendly but he does know what he's doing and he's a good oral surgeon. The nurse I had was no better, she was unfriendly and hostile. Didn't seem to know what she was doing? The receptionist Teresa was extremely hostile and argumentative and all I wanted to do was make an appointment for a simple extraction and she wanted to interrogate me over the phone even though I had a referral from my dentist? And I was already an established patient of theirs? When I told her I would find someone else because clearly she had a problem with giving me an appointment she said "you do that"! and hung up on me. She should not be a receptionist because clearly she has very poor people skills. The staff and dr. Bowen have very bad attitudes and I'm not the first one to complain. Dr. Bowen and his staff were very thorough, explained all procedures with possible complications, expected recovery time. I felt extremely confident that I was receiving the best care possible. The doctor called that evening to check on me. He was available by page if I had any emergency while they were closed. I will recommend him and his office to my family and friends. Our community is very lucky to have an oral surgeon of his caliber!

Dr. Bowen and his team took care of me with skill and compassion! They really know what they are doing, and I never had any pain! I know where I am going if I ever need oral surgery again!

I was very nervous, however the doctor and his assistants were so kind, patient, and gentle that I soon felt at ease. The extraction was over before I knew it! I didn't even know that the tooth was already out and that it was all over! I had no pain during the extraction of afterwards. This has to be the best place to go for extractions!

Dr is arrogant, unwilling to admit fault and has caused me almost 5 years of chronic dental pain

Go someplace else!!! Staff is Rude and so isn’t he. I called to question why there was bruising behind my ear going down my jawline and sharp pain up into the top off my head and down my neck. He had no explanation and said he didn’t know why and I tried telling him what I was doing for the nonstop bleeding, swelling and pain and he told me to shut up!! I told him I would go to the emergency room to deal with it and he told me go ahead if you feel like you need to and told me to have a nice weekend, maybe he was in a rush to get out of town for vacation but it doesn’t excuse his behavior. I wouldn’t bring my dog here. I planned on having other work done here but I will take my business elsewhere.

Had a tooth extracted today. Scott and his staff were really pleasant, caring and opaque. A very kind chair-side manner.

So wonderful- I got my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Bowen a week ago and experienced very little swelling, no dry socket, and didn't take any of the prescribed pain medications because I had so little pain. Would definitely recommend Dr. Bowen for this procedure.

He's awesome

Dr. Bowen took out an infected baby tooth from my son's mouth. He was very kind and gentle. His staff was very very sweet and helpful. He followed up the day after to find out how my son's mouth was healing. I will definitely go back for any other issues.

arrogant and borderline rude. Misdiagnosed an infection which led to emergency surgery and four days in the hospital. Admitted he did not know what it was, and did nothing to try to determine what it was. Then never followed up to see how the situation was. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
