Scott Edward Capobianco

The only reason why this doctor's office even deserves one star is despite the incompetent front staff, Dr. Capobianco is actually a great doctor. However, you will first have to successfully get an appointment without being rescheduled or waiting three hours past your appointment time to see that. This doctor's office is the most dysfunctional, unprofessional office I have ever stepped foot into. I have never seen a front office staff not want to do their jobs more than this office. Based on at least three experiences with them, it does not seem like they care about patients at all. I waited a month for an appointment just to be told two hours before that they had incorrectly scheduled me and that I would need to wait another month to get in and then, they tried to reschedule me on a day they cannot do what needs to be done because they "did not know" the procedure could only be done on Thursdays. Capobianco staff, it is hard enough trying to get birth control and receive proper care. Please do better. This is a bit ridiculous.

Sorry for the lengthy review but needed to share my own story before someone consider booking or being treated by Dr. Capobianco. I was recommended to Dr. Capobianco from a close friend who is a surgeon in the same hospital as Dr. Capobianco. On my first appointment I waited over 2 hours after my appointed time, very upsetting first impression. Nevertheless Dr Capobianco apologized and processed with my check up and testing. 4 weeks later on my visit to my primary care physician when looking at my testing results she notified me that I should contact Dr. Capobianco offices as my test results were abnormal and most probably needed more testing. I was shocked and upset than no one from Dr Capobianco’s office has contacted me to notify me that I had to go back for more testing! Nevertheless I contact his office and Dr Capobianco himself called me to apologize and made sure I scheduled my appointment. At my second appointment I saw everyone in the waiting room going in before me, then new patient coming in would be seen before me (according to the front desk I had a procedure scheduled and the other patients just had a regular check up visit, which is a ridiculous excuse because they schedule my appointment knowing the purpose) Anyways after 1 hour and 25 minutes after my appointed time and 3 complains later they finally took me in to the waiting room inside as there were no private rooms available. 10 minutes in they told me the doctor had to go to deliver a baby and won’t be back for another hour! At that point I couldn’t imagine going through more wait and such UNPROFESSIONAL and LACK OF CARE for their patients and their time. I was not the only there with such a bad experience, a lot of other patients had the same lack of respect for their appointments and time. I would never recommend this practice, extremely disorganized, unprofessional and disrespectful! I have never have a doctor call me with every result, personally. It's Christmas Eve and Dr. Capobianco called with my blood test results. Soo amazing and can't wait actually to go back in for the rest of my testing. Highly recommend!!!

I wish I could leave zero stars. I have never met a more horrendous physician. Steer clear! I’m just thankful my daughter and I survived. I’ve left a review on Yelp but interestingly it’s not showing up. I feel a serious need to warn women. I wish someone warned me. Dr. Capobianco is a fantastic physician. He is patient, kind, caring, and experienced. I have recommended him to many friends who are moving to the area. He has been my OB for pregnancy and has been supportive and helpful. He always calls you as soon he gets your lab results back. I am a physician myself and feel comfortable under his care. His OB practice is busy and sometimes you have to wait but if you make your appt close to 8 am, the wait times are minimal. Dr. Capobianco is a fantastic physician. I don't think he was listening to my concerns and the medicine he prescribed has many side effects in addition to he forgot to send the prescription to pharmacy.

I wish I had the energy to write in details what a nightmare it has been dealing with his staff and office. The most incompetent people ever. I am filing a formal complaint. They can not get anything right and do not communicate well. The girls in his office are brainless little robots who just toss patients from one person to another. They were supposed to send over an order for an ultrasound to imaging and they never did. Took me weeks to schedule an appointment with the women’s wellness center and my bladder was about to explode and they told me they had no order from the doctors office. Took time off work and paid for parking all for nothing. Dr Capo is decent himself although too soon to tell after one meeting but his minions are useless. Changing him anyways but I want to warn you all in case you do decide to go with him. This Dr was arrogant— unclear — performed surgery & negligently ruptured a malignant mass with a probe when he went to remove it robotically .. thus had to surgically open me from thigh to thigh to clean up the spillage & continue complete hysterectomy. He then called me to tell me it was malignant. He didn’t even have the courtesy to take time to come to my hospital room & tell me or talk with me. The surgery was to be performed robotically but ended up a major surgery requiring mass clean up & removal of female organs. He was abrasive & abrupt. He had me contacting other medical Drs without a medical referral. It was stressful & a surgery that I STILL have extreme pain from. Would NEVER allow him to touch me again. He’s the worst dr & surgeon I’ve ever dealt with. He’s not qualified to treat severe medical surgery. My cancer was then classified as stage 4B. My name is Yasmina ElTany ,and this review is long overdue ,I delivered my baby almost 9 months ago ,,let me tell you why this doctor and his team deserve 10 stars not even 5 ,,he is without a doubt the best doctor I ever had ,I had a history of miscarriages ,he did my D&C and 5 years later when I got pregnant and called the office to make an appointment,he remembered me and asked his lovely sweet staff to call me back to schedule an appointment and sent me for lab work to make sure that everything in this pregnancy is going well ,every-time I went to the office with fears and panicking he made sure that I leave the office with peace of mind ,he squeezed me in for an appointment more than I can count ,I use to call them every other day with complaints that I don’t feel my baby or anything ,they will tell me come now and we will do an ultrasound just to put your mind at ease ,every time I went for an ultrasound I was crying and the Sweet Tech ultrasound ladies used to hold my hands until I hear my baby’s heartbeat ,his amazing assistant use to call me to check on me ,Dr Capo used to call me himself with lab results, and when I did the genetic testings to make sure that my baby is ok he called me back with a super happy voice saying I have good news your baby is ok and I also know the sex of your baby are you ready to know it is a boy or a girl ???? ,he was happy to give me the best news I ever had ????, when I used to go to the office doctor Capo always met me with a very warm and understanding smile ,saying everything looks perfect don’t worry and you can call us or come anytime you feel worried, I felt like they are part of my family ,at the end of my pregnancy I used to go almost every day and he was very understanding and always happy that my pregnancy is going well ,the last day even he was excited that my due date is almost there ,my baby and I are forever greatful to doctor Capo,May God bless you and your family ,best Doctor and best staff My name is Yasmina ElTany ,and this review is long overdue ,I delivered my baby almost 9 months ago ,,let me tell you why this doctor and his team deserve 10 stars not even 5 ,,he is without a doubt the best doctor I ever had ,I had a … More

Wonderful experience with Dr. Capobianco. He is a wonderful obgyn and great surgeon. The staff are always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I chose Dr. Capobianco when I was extremly nervous because of high risk pregnancy. He is incredible and not only has he taken great care of my health, but also he spent lots of time to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming his patient to anyone! Dr. Capobianco is a pleasant doctor, but when it's not the first time I am waiting 90 minutes for my appointment, it's time to find another doctor. My time is important too. And it is very inconsiderate.

Dr Capo has been my Dr for 22 years and I can’t say enough good things about him. He is a busy dr, but having said that when you are with him he makes you feel like you are his only patient. He spends as much time with you as you need, he calls you with results, he is empathetic, kind, and caring. He does get backed up and there is usually a wait, but he is worth it

My wife had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes before the doctor came in to see her. No reason given!! Not happy!!

Dr. Capobianco is the BEST doctor I have ever had. I have had some really amazing doctors but he is the BEST of the BEST! Everyone I know that is smart about choosing doctors sees him including my daughter and my dentist said he delivered her babies!! I am 50 and have had my share of all the things we have to go through to stay healthy and prevention etc and his care I can trust and know I am in the best possible hands with whatever I may have to deal with from serious matters to routine check ups. I don't care at all how long I wait in the waiting room because once it is your turn it he gives you undivided attention as long as you need for the care you came for. He also calls you after hours if needed to give results himself so you don't have to wait and worry or even just to make sure you have a full understanding of whatever the results are! I can not say enough good things about him and I feel sorry for the wife of the husband that complained about waiting so long to see him in a previous review. The right doctor can save your wifes life either delivering your baby or catching a problem early- whatever reason she was there for-it doesn't matter it was time well spent and complaining about such a great person that cares so much about his patiences is really a small minded perspective. It was AWFUL!!! We wasted 3 hours and he never saw us. The office lost my medical records. We took time off work and he was too busy to see us.

Dr. Capobianco has been my OB/GYN for almost 10 years. He has delivered all 3 of my children and I wouldn't go anywhere else. We even moved 45 min away and I still drove to see him for my pregnancies and births. Hands down, the best doctor I've ever experienced. He's patient, professional but also caring. He makes sure you are taken care of and puts you first. Love love love dr. Capo!

Dr. Capobianco is part of a very busy OB/Gyn practice, so wait times can run longer than expected. But this doctor is worth waiting for! His bedside manner is excellent, as are his medical credentials. When I needed a hysterectomy, Dr.Capobianco did everything he could to make it happen. When Mission Hospital's operating rooms were closed unexpectedly, Dr. Capo and his scheduling staff worked with Saddleback Hospital to ensure my hysterectomy was scheduled just one day after the original procedure had been scheduled at Mission. I had to move cross-country shortly after my surgery, but Dr. Capo made certain I stayed in town until he was certain my post-op recovery was progressing as it should, before permitting me to make the move. I am so grateful to Dr. Capo and his office/nursing staff for working together to help my transition go as smoothly as possible.
