I came here looking at reviews just out of curiosity and nothings changed. Same experiences I had w cancer screening. Malignant melanoma is a generational thing on my fathers side n he died from it. 1st skin check in years n really he looked at my face arms n legs for like a second or two n that was it. Said I was good n out the door he went. I’m over at NCH 1st time since this outfit several years or so ago n total opposite experience. Seems many in here have had the same experience. And what’s up with the supposed new patient fee??? From what people are saying it’s ridiculously high n insurance won’t cover that. Makes you wonder if they are at all serious about new clients ???

Dr Glazer is very kind and helpful. However reception is horrible with communication and returning messages. Different receptionists will tell me different things. Very unorganized and unprofessional.

I went in to discuss any skin cancer screening(s) available after an incident of sun poisoning and years of burns/peeling. I did not feel heard/seen during my appointment as I felt the doctor barely looked at my concerns. Doctor addressed an acne concern (which I didn’t even have concerns of) probably due to my age range, and did not address the mole/skin concerns I came in with. Sadly would not recommend going here, as I paid over $200 for no questions answered.

My whole family have been patients of dr. Glazer forever. None of us would ever consider going elsewhere. When you find a doctor that’s perfect you would never consider going anywhere else.

the dermatology office is great but their medspa is horrible. they give me their personal number and tell me to reach them with any questions and will ignore all my messages. when i call their office number with questions or request to reschedule appointments, they will take anywhere from 2-5 business days to respond, usually with me having to follow up with another call/VM at least once or twice. The medspa is absolutely wonderful! They are always able to work with my schedule and always respond in a timely manner. The office staff was efficient and friendly, and I did not wait long in the waiting room. Dr. Scott Glazer's assistant Adina was attentive to my concerns. Dr. Glazer came to see me a few minutes after I had entered the exam room--while Adina and I were still discussing my issues. Dr. Glazer listened to my questions, and clearly explained my options. Dr. Scott Glazer and I grew up together. I knew he would be successful, He is! They are very nice to me. He is very good and very compassionate as well as a skilled professional.

Dr. Glazer is fantastic and so are his staff. I’ve always been seen in a timely manner and his work is great. Come here for all my skin needs.

I've been dealing with a reoccurring skin issue for the last 7 years. Recently it got worse and my regular dermatologist was booked weeks out. I called Glazer since they are in my network, and they were able to fit me in relatively quickly. I went and the front desk receptionist was more than helpful with getting me set up as a new patient. I finished my paper work and they called me to see the doctor right away. Usually I'm waiting at least 15-20 minutes in the waiting room. So far everything went as smooth as it could have gone. The nurse or PA I spoke to initially was really kind and understanding. When Dr. Alex Glazer came in, he went through his exam and came up with a decisive plan to help me. He seemed really knowledgeable and most importantly he gave me hope that this plan will work. I've seen over a dozen specialists for my condition and I haven't had hope in awhile. I've been going to this office for many, many years for many different needs. Dr Glazer and the staff have always been welcoming, professional, on time, and quickly. Highly recommend!

I’ve been seen Dr Scott Glazer for years now! He is the best! It usually takes one visit for a diagnosis! I’ve seen the other doctors as well when Glazer is booked and dr kozeny, fretzin, or any of the PA have been ALL so kind! Nothing but great experiences with the front desk!

Terrible treatment as a new patient, Buffalo Grove has an I Pad. Tried to make an appointment but the girl scheduling didn’t have a clue what she was doing. I asked her for the availability in October and she proceeded to tell me that all of the doctors switch off to different offices and I had already specified Arlington Heights. I said “ok so for instance can you tell me the first week of October what your availability is for any doctor in the Arlington Heights office?” her reply was “well it depends on the day..” And when I frustratingly said “ok never mind I’ll find another doctor” she just said “okay thank you!” How does this girl get paid to schedule appointments? NO STARS...if you use this Dr...be very careful...they bill patients who have seen the Dr. previously a "new patient fee" of $165 which insurance does not cover. Apparently if you have not seen this Dr. in 2+ years...you will get this fee..you are not informed of this charge and it just appears on your bill that you have to pay. We have tried several times and called the office about this. All they say is that since the patient had not been here in 2-3 years...your now considered a NEW PATIENT...that's ridiculous...most people don't see a dermatologist on a regular basis unless they have an on-going issue. The minute I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk. The assistant was as nice as can be also. Dr. Glazer came in and looked at my ears and gave me an alternative solution. He was very honest and looking out for my best interest. It wasn’t about the money for him. I'm so perplexed by some of these reviews mainly because I had a very pleasant experience at Glazer Dermatology. I remember visiting this office about 5 years ago and working with Dr. Kozeny to fix my cystic acne and to remove a minor skin growth on my ear (which he successfully did). He takes all the anxiety out of a doctor's visit with his chalant attitude. We also have the same sense of sarcastic humor which made the experience of him cutting off the skin growth on my ear completely pain and stress free. My mom also goes to him for her moles, and has been going to him for many years. Recently, I wanted to get some moles checked out and Dr. Kozeny was all booked up. I ended up scheduling an appointment with Dr. Alex Glazer instead, since they're both in the same office. Dr. Alex Glazer was just as much of a pleasure to work with as Dr. Kozeny! He treated my concerns with lots of care and attention, and we even ended up chatting for a bit after the appointment. Most doctor's rush you out of the office, but Dr. Alex Glazer was in no rush to kick me out. All in all, I think this is a wonderful place to visit if you need a caring and attentive dermatologist. Had a small surgical procedure today. Was in at 7am out by 7:30. Dr. Glazer is a no nonsense get the job done. Talked the whole time and didn't even know I was finished. Have been going to him for 35 plus years. HE's great!

I visited him for a skin cancer check. He spent about 90 seconds reviewing my skin. I was underwhelmed with his care and attention.

Without getting into too much information, I had something on my scalp I wanted him to look at. In two minutes he diagnosed it, burned it off my scalp with liquid nitrogen, and we were done. I paid my co-pay and was done. Today, I believe most people see dermatologists these days for cosmetic procedures - yes, there are ads all over the waiting room for different procedures and that's not my thing. I saw Paige who was phenomenal and has an amazing sense of humor that puts you at ease. She took her time and answered all my questions. Dr. Glazer is a professional in his field. I have been going to him for annual checkups for years. He is always ontime, kind and takes the time to explain my options. I would highly recommend Dr. Glazer and his staff!!

I appreciated the gals at the front and the speed at which they processed all the patients. I also really liked Dr. Fretzin. He was personable, explained everything in detail and didn't waste time with extra fluff conversation. For people who are on the go (like most men who hate seeing a doctor) Dr. Fretzin is exactly the Dr. for you.

unfortunately I still have the same skin issue i visited the doctor "FRETZIN" for. the examination time was too quick , the prescription is expensive and it didn't work.

This is the way all doctors should be. He is prompt, courteous, friendly, listens, and acts decisively. He explains the details of his diagnosis to whatever depth you would like.

Dr. Fretzin is great! DON'T USE THEIR HAIR FACIAL SERVICE. RACHEL WAS MY TECH FOR 10 TREATMENTS AND I ONLY SAW A 1% DECREASE IN HAIR GROWTH AND HAIR TEXTURE. AWEFUL!!

The best care and staff. They do a wonderful job with a professionalism and knowledge that makes you feel at ease. They also are wonderful and caring when there is an emergency.

I used to live in Palatine, now I live in Johnsburg, approx 1 hour away, but I won't give him up. He is very fast, but everything he's done for me has worked. He can diagnose in a heartbeat. I've had several facial growths removed and not a sign of any scarring. If he prescribes he usually will give you a sample first, so you don't waste money on something that doesn't agree with you or isn't working. I have recommended him to several friends.

I went there for 2 years for Acne problem on face they just took money no improvement at all.

He certainly doesn't dawdle, but he pays attention and addresses all concern thoroughly. He has a pleasant and confidence-inspiring manner.

I saw dr Fretzin from Glazer dermatology. My 16 months son has nail fungus in 4 nails and doctor stated is not that bad and offered nothing for treatment. I will complain every place possible about this practice and doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Glazer for almost 20 years, he is the BEST. I moved from Buffalo Grove to Naperville, and I still go back to see him when I'm having skin issues. He's always right, and offers solutions that work. I'll keep driving 50 miles to see him.

My family and I have been using Dr. Glazer and all the members of his office for close to 30 years and we have never worked with a more professional and passionate staff. They are thorough, knowledgeable, and responsive. The receptionists and nurses are very caring.
