This place has an incredible team of people, from the lady who scheduled my appt, the person greeting me at the front desk, the nurse and Dr. Richard it was the best experience ever!! They made me feel safe, calm and helped me feel comfortable every way they could.. I truly hope I don’t need to go back again lol but if I ever do.. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I had a bad ingrown toenail that was infected. Dr. Kurecki’s office got me an appointment that fit my schedule with in a day. The entire staff was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend their office and I will definitely return if needed.

So pleased with all around experience re: 1st appt with Dr Kurecki for my husband’s heel pain. From the receptionist to doctor’s assistant to Dr himself. All very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable.

I had a foot injury from playing softball. The pain was interfering with my ability to play at the level that I wanted. Talked to several softball players here in Venice and they all recommended that I go to Dr Kurecki. I’m thrilled that I took their recommendations. He’s a “first round draft choice”. Professional, knowledgeable knows his business. He gave me a great work-up, a complete analysis of my foot structure, the injury and most importantly how to get me back to healthy feet and of course back on the ball field. I will recommend Dr. Kurecki to all of the folks that I play ball with as well as everyone that I know here in the West Villages.

Had a very painful infected ingrown toe nail, kept me up most of the night. Called and got an appt. same day, great staff and Dr. Kurecki was very kind and quickly got my problem solved. Highly recommend this office.

The staff were excellent and were kind enough to fit me quickly into their schedule due to an ankle injury. I managed to roll it while stepping off a curb, which resulted in some pretty nasty swelling and bruising. I was unable to walk on it. Luckily the xrays showed no fractures, so Dr. Kurecki wrapped my ankle in a soft cast and ace bandage. The staff offered to let me borrow a knee scooter, which I massively appreciated (much better than a walker or crutches). Dr.Leitzen is a wonderful doctor- he is extremely knowledgeable in podiatry and has an easy chairside manner. The staff members provide outstanding customer service and seem to genuinely enjoy where they work. I would absolutely recommend this practice.

This office has no respect for the uninsured who pay with cash. I was continually quizzed by the nurse on how I was going to pay when I stated on the paperwork I filled out I was paying by my health saving account credit card. It's was obvious that their worry about getting paid for their service was on top of their list. I suggest this office not take cash paying customers then they can rest easy with each patient. My wife and I have been to North Port Foot and Ankle twice, and we find the staff to be very welcoming and professional. We see Dr. Leitzen, and he and his assistant, Robin, are extremely thorough and caring. Dr. Leitzen is very knowledgeable, and I give him credit for, most likely, saving my life. He expressed great concern about a dark mole between my big toe and the next toe, requesting that I should be sure to get it checked out. After expressing my concern twice at our dermatologist's office, a biopsy was finally taken. The mole was diagnosed as invasive melanoma. I have since had an operation to remove the melanoma and I am on the mend. Looking back at the series of events, if Dr. Leitzen had not stressed the importance of having the mole examined closely, I believe the melanoma would have been allowed to fester and grow. I saw Dr. Richard Leitzen and I must say, he had a great bedside manner. Wonderful personality, and you could feel that he cares about each of his patients personally. Very thorough exams, no rushing you in and out of the office. My feet are feeling much better thanks to him!

During the past year Dr. Leitzen has treated me for a crushed big toe and a metatarsal stress fracture. He is a kind, knowledgeable and wonderful physician. He always takes time to explain what is wrong and the treatment plan. The entire office staff is friendly, making each visit a joy. I highly recommend this practice.

Had a complete assessment of my feet(not done at 1st procedure) and no pain with procedure this time. Dr Kurecki knows his stuff and Listens well to all concerns. Great technique. Dr. Letizen performed Achilles’ tendon and heel bone spur surgery on me back in February. I can’t tell you how awesome of an experience I’ve had with him and his team. He is very thorough when he is explaining everything to me, has a great sense of humor and doesn’t make you feel like your just another patient. I had a fainting issue while I was getting an X-ray done at his office and the entire staff came to help me. Beth, the office manager stayed right with me in the room the entire time. Dr Kurecki was incredibly thorough! I am a Nurse Practitioner and his exam was everything we learn in school. I have never had that experience from any other medical provider ! He explained all my options and all I can say us that I wish I would have seen him years ago! Wow so lucky to have such a good doctor so close to me!! I seen Dr. Lietzen today, very thorough and informative - Angela was really great too. I feel good about treatment moving forward. I didn't feel rushed or as if I was imposing on the doctors time if I asked a question or explained my experiences. I didn't have to ask for info it was given freely. I saw the Foot and Ankle Office as I drove past it. We had just moved to North Port, and I needed a podiatrist, so I stopped in. Urgent Care referred me to Dr. Scott Kurecki after I accidentally dropped a heavy metal pipe on my left foot - causing a very painful open fracture. Dr. Kurecki was very gentle during his exam and while dressing my wound. He took the time to do a full foot exam and to explain everything to me. I am much relieved.

I had Plantar Fasciitis for 15 years. I have been treated by 4 Podiatrist. I even had surgery. I was in terrible pain and could barely walk when I found Dr. Kurecki . He does procedures no other Dr. takes the time to do. My feet were much better in days and all pain gone in two weeks. He gave me my life back! His staff is so friendly and helpful! It was my 1st visit with Dr. Kurecki and his Staff and it was" GREAT". The staff is friendly and very helpful in getting me in so quickly to stop my pain. My appointment was right on time. Everything was explained to me very clearly. It is a very nice office & the location is easy to find, whether your from Venice or Port Charlotte, like me, it's worth the drive to North Port.

He was unable to fix my neuroma. He sold me inserts for $400 and when I complained they didn't work he scolded me and spoke to me like I was 12 years old. I am an 81 year old woman and didn't deserve to be spoken to in that way. He showed no compassion. Perhaps if he had explained how the inserts were supposed to work it might have helped. He just gave them to me and said "put them in your shoes" so when I complained he just blew up.

These doctors and staff are top notch. They repaired the 4 broken bones in my 15 year old foot. He is a high school athlete. He is now completely healed after surgery, and is running as fast as he was before the injury, with no pain. The staff in the office, Just as good as the doctors.
