Dr. Scott Kenneth Smith

Absolutely horrible experience. Was told that I needed to have a gum graft surgery because of receding gums and that it was absolutely necessary to have. Initially put it through my insurance and told me that it would take three surgeries and the total cost after insurance would be around $5k. Thought that was a bit high, but went with it. Switched jobs before I had my first surgery and asked if they would run my new insurance to ensure that it was the same cost. I was assured that they would and even followed up multiple times through email. When I finally had my surgery, I was told to pay $1,700 and I once again asked if my insurance was run through. Again, they said no, but that "if it was any less than what you paid, you'll receive a credit". A couple months later I get a bill for over $5,000. I call to ask what is going on and they say that I need to call my insurance company up. 7 months of back and forth later I come to find out that my insurance maxes out at $1,250 per year, leaving me to have to pay the vast majority. While I understand that this is an insurance issue, I feel that I was duped. I asked so many times for them to confirm with me that it would be the same cost and kept being told not to worry about it. Now, here I am paying nearly $6,000 for only one part of the surgery. If they simply would have done their due diligence, this would not have been an issue. I called one final time after I received a final warning about my bill and asked that they call back and they never did. I will not be returning as they do not seem to care that about their patients.

I am so glad I found Dr.Smith, very knowledgeable, funny and a great communicator. I truly believe he has my best gum repair at heart. I felt really comfortable with the whole experience including his staff! Kudos to a great practice!

Excellent patient care. Clean, nice office. Organized front desk and very easy to make appointments. I have had to undergo gum treatment (LANAP) and they have been great. Also got masseter Botox here for TMJ/jaw pain and have had amazing results. Dr. Smith is kind and keeps you updated on every step they’re doing. If you have to go to the periodontist, it’s not for a fun reason, but coming here makes the experience tolerable.

What an outstanding practice! Doctor Scott Smith was extremely thorough with my exam, answered all my questions, and my procedure exceeded my expectations. His team members were helpful, front desk friendly, and the facility is immaculate. Overall, this is by far the best periodontist experience I’ve ever had.

Been coming here for several years now to correct long-term issues due to genetic and autoimmune issues. From cleanings to surgeries, the treatments and attention to care here have been top notch. The staff are very accommodating and have made time to ensure patient comfort and answer questions. Big thanks to Rachel and Ona, who I've primarily been working with throughout, along with Dr. Smith himself.

Dr Smith and Maggie his assistant are a great pair. It's not a fun time, however they make it manageable. DR SMITH is experienced and can handle any situation. His office is clean and very professional.

Not recommending Scott smith office for treatments requires more than one appointments. They are very bad at scheduling appointments. They probably schedule 1 appointment yearly and don’t expect more than that.

I visited Dr Smith’s office this afternoon for an implant consultation. Everyone was so nice. Dr Smith put me right at ease. Will definitely be seeing them soon for my implant

I had an implant done in Dr. Smith's office. Very stressful with techno music playing, my mistake not asking it to be taken off. Wasn't told until after the procedure that he would be out of town on his honeymoon the following day. No back up was provided. I was told to text. Over the following few days, my whole mouth swelled, became unbelievable painful, fever, etc. Dr. Smit told me it was a bump in the road. Referred me to my general dentist, who had no idea and had to find me another surgeon because at this point, my entire jaw was infected. Had back up been available, I may have avoided the whole problem. 4 procedures later, I've had the infection removed, the implant, and a healthy tooth that became infected. I'm in constant pain and it will take at least another year and a half to 2 years to correct, with multiple more procedures and cost. He offered to fix AFTER his honeymoon, to his credit. I wouldn't trust him near me. Had to argue for reimbursement.

Nice, friendly and kind staff the time you walk in the door. Clean and fresh environment. Dr. Smith explain things to you in a way that you understand and treats you with respect. Love this office. Glad I was recommended to this office. Convenient to my home.

Dr.Smith and his team are the best. He is nice and his office really makes you experience like you’re just sitting at Starbucks or anywhere well designed. The people here are all pleasant, but you come here for world class dental care.

Best place if you need periodontist! Aside from my gum problems - I am going there elusively for ALL my cleanings. I had a terrible experience in previous places but not here! This place makes you feel like you are a part of their family. Always welcoming, wanting the best for you, no judgment...very open and willing to work with you and for you. I'm forever indebted to Dr. Smith. Twenty three years ago, my mouth was a disaster area, seriously endangering my health. His work and diligence repaired the damage that mostly I had self inflicted through 20 years of negligence and poor habits. I have been in his care ever since.

I am terrified of dental work. I hate going to do ANYTHING involving my mouth. I have to say Dr. Smith was AMAZING. He was gentle, he was quick, informative and most of all caring. Bed side manner is everything to me and he made me feel like he actually cared. I had a unique situation and Amber made sure to get me in quickly and understood my situation. When I came to the office I told her "I love you" lol...and she said I love you too! ???? they were an amazing group and I was so thankful to have gone there. The office was beautiful and they were willing to work with my financial situation, as im a single mother and my insurance did not cover the procedures I needed. I LOVE this place. No doubt. Dr. Smith and his staff were great! My gum surgery was painless and I was really impressed by what a difference this made for my gums. My gums are extremely thin, but Dr. Smith was able to carefully perform this surgery. I highly recommend this practice if you are in need of gum surgery.

The office is horribly organized and keep terrible records. I paid a bill TWICE now and they keep calling and mailing requesting payment, even though I’ve already provided proof of payment on multiple occasions to multiple people. This has been going on for almost two years. I cannot grasp how you “lose” a payment twice, even though I have the record (and provided it to them) of the money being removed from my account by Scott Smith, DDS. I could not recommend them less. I am very timid when it comes to my teeth/mouth and having any work done. Dr. Smith put me right at ease. Explaining everything, taking the time to answer my questions, and always listening to my concerns. He is ever professional and really does amazing work.
