Staff never answers the phone. Today was the last straw. Waited 45m past virtual appointment time only to never speak to anyone about my test results. I wouldn’t send my dog here for care.

I'm been going to Dr. Ahmed for over 10 plus years and he's been an awesome Dr. I like the fact he's always asking you questions bout how feel and he really listen to you what you have to say.

I feel heard and not medically gaslighted! Alexis Wernsman the Nurse Practitioner has been amazing! I’ve had a problem that the doctors at SLU have been unable to figure out and dismissed me but Alexis listened and actually ordered tests and imaging to dig deeper and she helped me!

Been dealing with this place over A ulcer for months never get to see a doctor always a nurse practitioner which to me is not a qualified as a doctor about to switch to a different doctor maybe I will get to see one ????

You only get to see a nurse practioner as the doctor only does surgery. They don't answer the phone you have to leave a message and someone may get back with you within 24-48 hours. Told them 3 times a CT Scan had already been performed and they never ordered the report. No counseling was offered on what would help symptoms.

I have been a patient at this office for a long time, really enjoy the convenience of a private place over the huge hospital where you’re just a number. Dr Ahmed is great at what he does and his nurses are very kind. I’ve always had excellent care here.

Went to see this doctor without ever meeting him which was fine. Was sent to have lots of tests done on me for my condition, costing me lots. I've had GI doctors before and know the usual tests needed for me. The office never called me to talk about the results but they did call me twice. Once to schedule another test (never heard from them about the result either). I called them to ask about the results and was given vague answers. The second call was to schedule for my next appt. Needless to say, I said no thanks and hung up

Amazing Staff and place, would get a 5 star review but they’re billing department is messed up.. won’t answer phones at all. Also have problems with insurance company. Also I have a problems with why I had to pay a $250 pre-collection fee... welp if it changes I’ll come back and change my review. The Gi here is amazing he asked so many questions and also made me feel welcomed here. Thanks doc!!! They are just out to get money.

Would give 0 stars if possible. For profit facility that does not care about helping patients, only making money. The office is covered in big pharma literature and advertisements. You don't see the doctor unless you have a procedure done. The nurse I saw for an appointment was not interested in any way of learning of my symptoms or getting my history. She peddled Linzess on me, which I did not take. I ended up having several procedures done here. I had many issues with my insurance because the office kept filing the claims incorrectly, after I told them how to properly file it, they simply shrugged and said that's how they do it.

I had the worst experience I've ever had with a medical staff ever! I was to have surgery in March 2019, but due to the incompetence of the staff and uncaring Drs it is now September and I have to start over with a new Dr. I would never recomend this CHOP SHOP to anyone. THE WORST!

Not happy with this office. Expected to see the doctor, but saw a NP. Eventhough the NP was very professional, I should have been informed of this before my appointment. Now I'm expected to schedule a procedure with a doctor I have never met. I don't think so. Also, front office staff not professional. Will not be returning!

Definitely happy with this office. Didn’t have to wait for 7 hours for my procedure like I did at the hospital. Staff was really thorough and friendly, and doctor had a great bedside manner which is huge for me. I finally got on track with the right meds. I’m never going anywhere else.

Where do I start very nice doctor but today is march 12 .... I had appointment at 3:15 I walked in at 3:17 I was two minutes late I got stuck behind a train and she said oh I’m sorry you’re late we need to reschedule you for your appointment I said ma’am that’s him only two minutes late she responded sorry sir company policy I understood I was the only other person in the room… I’m two minutes late I’m the only person there and you’re not gonna see me however she did take my insurance information everything and she said it would be $300 co-pay that I could pay in advance this is the worst place ever Where do I start very nice doctor but today is march 12 .... This "doctor" is a damn JOKE! He couldn't care less about "patient health"! Had a procedure scheduled, which I had to fast for, cancel by the "Doctor". Because it had ALREADY snowed a whole 1/2 inch & WAS DONE! But he wanted to go home AT 9:30AM, "because of road conditions"!!! I'd BET MONEY he canceled because he had a better paying "fat job" to do. The reason I say that is because he seems MUCH more interested in pushing lazy fat reduction procedures(i.e. Intestinal balloon's & "Cool Sculpting") than treating ACTUAL CONDITIONS! Very welcoming and very helpful

I have had MANY procedures done by Dr. Ahmed in the last couple years and every time I have been it's been an excellent experience I trust him more than any other doctor is there on this plant!!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Ahmed’s for several years and I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else. He is very knowledgeable and truly listens to all of my concerns. He has a caring staff and they have squeezed me in on short notice several times when I had problems. I love this office. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this office to anyone having stomach/intestinal issues. The first time I was there, I saw a nurse practitioner who was very kind and attentive, and she set me up for a procedure with Dr Ahmed. He really listened to what I told him I’d been going through and diagnosed me right away and got me on a treatment that works. Biggest issue is the office staff. they call you to schedule your appointment, and if you don't pick up right away, their office phone system is set up so you can only leave a message, and then they never call back. This has happened to me twice. I have never had this problem with them in the past, but right now it seems like the only way to get an appointment is to come by their office in person to make one.

great when you can talk to him, he never have time to talk to you about what happening to you been there 5 times and requewsted you talk him and always get nurse . i'm paying to talkto him not a nurse .

If it wasn't for Heather and Dr. Ahmed I wouldn't have a diagnosis after so long of being in pain. They noticed something different in my results and would not stop until we found answers. I really appreciate them and their compassion to treat. I highly recommend Dr. Shakeel Ahmed. Some of office staff were not so friendly though they have gotten better.

This office was recommended to me by a family member. I had a great experience. The staff was courteous and knowledgable and put my mind at ease. Dr Ahmed was very kind and listened closely to my concerns. He was great at explaining the procedure and the results to me. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful experience at my first appt. Staff was friendly, courteous, informed me of how long my wait would be to see Dr. Ahmed (it was not long), and answered my questions helpfully. Dr. Ahmed was professional, compassionate, and patient. He clearly explained recommended tests/procedures -- what to expect, how to best tackle my problem, and why we would proceed with a certain treatment plan. Great experience. Doctor came highly recommended from many people, so we decided to go here. The staff is very friendly. The facility is state of the art. Way better than the hospital I went to for my last colonoscopy. The doctor himself was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this place any day.

We will be looking for another Dr. Not happy how the billing dept submitted the claim to our insurance. Warning to all once you have a tiny pollop your next colonoscopy will not be a basic screening so your insurance won't take care of it at all.

In Feb I was told I need and ercp. It is now July if any one suffers with pancreatitis knows how I feel daily. I have called his nurse Tina to see if we are any closer to a date to have this done. I can not work as a cna, because bending and lifting makes me sick.I spend most of my day wishing and praying I could just throw up. Water or anything makes me sick. I was told I could go to er, my thought behind that I have to go through yet another dr to try and get help. So I said no I will wait, but please tell me why it's July and we are no closer to a date. I don't even get calls back. So when you decide on this Dr I will tell you he was nice, but if your sick be ready to suffer. No one should suffer this long, no hospital is this busy that from Feb 26 to today's date of July 19. A bad pancreas is a nightmare to live with,trust me I have lived with if for years. To busy working to take care of kids but now I can't do that. Not to even get a call back is sad,all I want is a little help. I've been going to Dr. Ahmed for about 10 years. I've never had one insurance problem, I've always been treated well and Dr. Ahmed is very attentive and thorough. I've had several procedures here and love the quick turnaround in the surgery center vs. going to the hospital.

You will not see the doctor unless you have a procedure done. I have been there 4 times, 1 for a colonoscopy and 3 visits. Only time I saw Dr. Ahmed was when I had the colonoscopy. Not even the visit after the procedure did he come in to give me the results the nurse practitioner read the results to me. This was unacceptable to me when this is something I will live with forever.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease last year to recently find out that I never had celiacs in the first place. They recommended I have a Genetic marker study done to see if I was a carrier of the disease and could pass it on to my children. I never received any phone calls, follow ups, or to set up an appointment with a nutritionalist. I have dealt with my symptoms for nearly 2 years with no relief and now suffer from depression because of it. I will never go back. Do not recommend him at all

Was sent by primary care MD. Seems like assembly line practice. Staff not helpful if asking cost and insurance questions. Cost me $220 just to come in to schedule. Later learned their endoscopy cost 3x local average ($4500 vs $1500). Insurance flagged. I had asked multiple times about cost, only got right before procedure. Seems to be about revenue more than quality care. Never even was allowed to see DR only schedulers and staff. Cancelled at last minute due to lack of passion in office

After waiting almost 2 hours we were told they would open another bed up for the procedure and hurry up to get everyone done. That does not leave me with a good feeling. No respectable doctor hurries through a procedure to fit in everyone.

I only met the doctor once and he was nice; however my overall experience with his office was disappointing and I would never, ever visit them again. I did two procedures (colonoscopy and capsule) and it took me over three months to get a final word on my conditions. Right after the first procedure on October 15 and all the way to Jan 25, I called numerous times for the test results. I was promised each time to be called back but never was called back. Yes, holidays delayed things, but it seemed the office was seriously short of staff, or they just didn't know what they were supposed do. I really thought they might have lost my test results and just made up one for me in the end. I'm very, very disappointed. If I had cancer, I would have died already during their unbelievably slow process.
