Dr. Revels and her team at UCLA are the ultimate professionals. I was always so very well informed and the genuine care and concern of the entire staff was unbelievable. I think we experience a whole range of fearful emotions when we face a major medical challenge. Dr Revels took the time to answer every question and made sure I was aware of every option and possible outcomes. She called me on a Friday evening at 8:30 to give me results of a test. Her work ethic is unparalleled. Here I am a week and a half after a major ‘chest opening’ surgery and I’m walking several miles a day, sleeping comfortably, and truly appreciating every day. The Thoracic staff called me to help set up and get to every appointment, diagnostic tests and operations...they attended to every detail while I was at Ronald Reagan Hospital and I saw Dr. Revels every day...Someone has called me every day for the last week and a half since my discharge. This was the most difficult, frightening time of my life and I experienced the best professional medical care I could imagine but more importantly they really ‘cared’.
