My son start going to Dr. MURTHY 4 years ago and nothing but poor service. He always gone out of the country or no at office. He don't care about his patient's condition. Please don't take your love one to him.

BEWARE - I have had nothing but poor experiences. I was having about 1-2 breakthrough seizures/year. Later after he put me on more meds, I had multiple seizures in one day. Without any tests, he associated them to "just stress"! REALLY? I also have numbness in my feet that I have never had before and he has yet to show any concern or offer an explanation of why. I need him for meds, but searching for another neurologist - Someone that cares about patients more than their ego and $$.

Infant in hospital for seizure like behavior - turned out gastro issues. Along the way a 48 hour eeg requested The good thing Dr. did -ensure it was 48 hours. Bad thing - inability to pull up eeg data with us (twice)- left out of review, jumping to barbituate prescrip even though only 80% confident about night-time 1 second seizures, and witholding MRI unless we agreed to meds right away. Also saying barbituates have no side effects - they can be mental retardation. Get a 2nd opinion always.

I would not ever recommend him he's rude, quick to diagnose with a psy problem but you have a real medical issue arrogant says he's 99.9 percent right but misdiagnoses people and Dont care

I toke my son there to see if the Doc mite be able to help us out. The Doc put him on meds before we could blink. We live 45 mints away.aThey CLOSE FOR LUNCH 2HOURS. ( The staff and Doctor MURTHY ) seem as if they don't care at all. If you can fend a better Doctor Than Doctor Murthy in Florence, SC PLEASE! Take Care and be very careful before you see this doctor.
