Dr. Sherman O Smock

I was treated respectfully, and received excellent care. Dr Smock and his assistant were professional, friendly, and reassuring. The procedure was explained thoroughly, as were the after-care instructions. All safety precautions were followed.

I have been seeing Dr Smock for 40 years and have always had great experience with his knowledge and great sense of humor. His comment the first visit was, " You have presented us with a real bag of worms but we will try our best to help you obtain the best for you", which they have.

Since I have been Dr. Smock’s patient for just about 35 years, I think that speaks volumes about the quality of service rendered at his practice.

Excellent service. Dr. Smock knows his stuff. He thoroughly explains the procedure to be done, what to expect in terms of results. He gives the patient ample time to ask questions. He periodically checks in with the patient during the procedure to make sure the patient is doing well. He is gentle and very caring. He occasionally sneaks in very funny and appropriate jokes which makes the dental procedure seem like a jolly trip to paradise. Dr. Smock is highly recommended. The entire staff in the front office is extremely friendly and professional. Dr. Smock's dental assistant, Heather, is very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.

These people are very argumentative and secretive. I talked to several places about getting an implant and this was the ONLY place that flatly refused to provide an idea of the cost. It is clear that they profit more on consultations rather than procedures. The implant should be made of titanium and they said that there are many different implants - do not go here, they are hinting at using cheaper metal that would make it where you could never get an MRI for the rest of your life. Most places will tell you, an implant is x-amt, the bone graft if needed is x-amt, etc. This place is just shocking! Do not go here! These people are very argumentative and secretive. Dr. Smock seems very caring and takes the time to listen and answer my questions, he seems very concerned for his patients well being.

This place is awesome!

I was nervous about my first visit but after arriving I found the atmosphere to be warm and friendly and I was greeted with a smile. I was seated within about 10-12 minutes, Dr. Smock took time to discuss my issues and the available options after a very through exam. I feel confident in his decisions for my treatment.

Dr. Smock was very knowledgeable about the treatment he recommended. He explained it very thoroughly and in a manner I understood. The entire staff was great to work with.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are secretive and rude. They are the only dentist office in the area that won't discuss the price. If you don't have insurance, the possible cost is important.

I have been to Dr. Smock several times in the last year. Everyone there is very polite and respectful. The office is very nice and the hygienists were exceptionally nice. It was my first time to a Periodontist.
