Sherry K Sussman

Was not a patient of Dr Sussman for very long. I was ordered a drug for Graves disease. After calling and consulting with her re: adverse effects that I had I became very sick. She did not evaluate my symptoms and pretty much "blew me off" Lucky for me I have a great primary doctor who helped me when she did not.

I had a great first meeting with Dr Sussman and Staff. As a new patient, I got to the office early and within minutes was in the doctor's office having a pre-exam followed by seeing the doctor five minutes later. Within minutes Dr. Sussman put me at ease, stating my problem could be due to medication, but will verify after blood test results. I hope every visit goes as smooth. Dr. Sussman is the most caring endocrinologist I have ever seen. In the past, he staff was not great so I went to two other doctors. That’s when I realized how great she was. Her staff has gotten better but not the best. She is the best though so I can tolerate a staff that’s not stellar.

I have yet to sit down and have a discussion with Dr. Sussman and I was diagnosed over a year ago. She is never available. I need to find someone else soon!

Dr. Sussman is wonderful. As a medical professional, I trust her completely and feel comfortable under her care. She is extremely thorough, professional, and takes plenty of time with me at every visit. She outlined a plan from the beginning and fully reviews my chart each time before entering the exam room. The office is clean and the staff is friendly and courteous. I am generally taken in on time for my appointments.

The office is dirty! A few of the waiting room seating are beyond poor condition. Exam rooms are no better. A paper drinking cup discarded on the floor was there a month later. Office staff are ok but lack training. PA is wonderful and as is the nutritionist. Sussman is knowledgeable but doesnt review notes further than a month. The only reason we stay is bc the patient likes her bedside manner

Worst doctor I have ever been to in my life. I only keep going because she is the only one that accepts my lousy insurance. In two years I have seen her one time. The rest of the time its her assistants that keep leaving. I make appointments and they forget to tell me its been cancelled. I need prescriptions filled because I am a diabetic and they don't contact pharmacy for days. The service is a nightmare. Clearly does not care about the patients or her practice.

Dr Sherry Sussman is a great doctor, she is very knowledgeable. I have been using Dr Sussman for ove 10 years. She has helped me manage and control my diabetes. I highly recommend her.

The worst office ever!!!!!! over booked appointsments cancel at the last mintue with no notice. Lies about medically needed medication which results in denial by the insurance company. I am not finding out until i call the corporate office and speak with the higher up- how embarrasing to discover my own doctor is Lieing - tell you what you better hope this doesnt result in malpractice !!!!!!!!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT go here!!!!!!!!!!! Ordering test and ignoring them almost put my family member into renal failure. The reason why you can't reach the doctor is because the MA in the front turns off the phone and is rude to the PT . CMS is currently investigating the quality of care here due to the lack of attention and follow up with doctor orders DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT go here!!!!!!!!!!! As much as we like Dr Sussman the office staff is rude and lies. They have gone thru 2 office managers and unfortunately neither of them are able to manage the office. Rather than listen and find out the truth she defends the staff which to me says she is calling the patient a liar. Leaving messages for the Dr to call is futile - never receive a call back. I would think the staff doesn't give her the messages rather than think Dr Sussman doesn't care enough to be courteous to call back. It's a shame because both my husband and I are patients there, and she will lose two patients along with God knows how many look for a new endocrinologist. The office staff has ZERO customer service skills. The tattooed knuckled receptionist should not be allowed to speak to people. Very unprofessional and Dr Sussman, whom I've always believed to be a good doctor watched her staff mistreat me. At the time of my appointment, I was greeted with a bill, which I never received in the mail, from 6 months ago. I was told my insurance company denied the claim. The office staff refused to resubmit the claim. (The bill was for $100) While in their office I called the insurance company which apologized and will reprocess. That was unacceptable to Dr Sussman and her staff and she refused to finish my appointment until the payment was processed from the insurance company or she wanted a reference# which I was not given. Dr Sussman word of advice your staff represents you. Sad you do not employ professional people to work in your office. Dr sussman is my third endo. doc. The first one great doc. bad office, secound bad doc. good office. Dr Sussman has great communication skills and office always fills my rx correctly.

Office never answers phone. My scripts were ordered wrong 4 times. I brought this to doctors attention but nothing has changed. Been with Dr Sussman for 2 years now but I think I'm joining other patients who left for same reasons. She now has an app where I could leave messages which I've used but now the message part isn't working. Customer Service says you have to call doctor to get it working. So back to first problem, can't get through to doctor office.

DON'T BE LATE!! There was a gas main break on Middle Country Road and my 20 year old was 15 minutes late for her appointment that took me three months to schedule and the REFUSED to see her. How unprofessional!

I have been going to Dr. Sussman for my Type II diabetes care for about ten years now, and have always found her supportive, thorough in her exams and diagnosis, very knowledgeable, pleasant- unlike many overworked doctors today, prompt to even apologetic if you have waited too long. When is the last time you had a doctor tell you they were sorry you had to wait so long, even though, in Dr. Sussman!s case, waiting long is very rare. She values YOUR time too, quite an atribute. She has gone thru several staff changes, which were needed. But at least she is very interested in how you perceive her staff and works to correct any short comings her staff may have. She us an excellant listener to your medical concerns, and has always been spot on in her diagnosis for me. I also take my 95 year old father-in-law to her for his diabetes, and her treatment of his condition is as excellant as mine.
