Sherry Thomas

I was having constant UTIs, one after the other, for 2 months. I was drowning in cranberry juice and had taken 3 rounds of 3 different antibiotics, 20 pills each, and nothing helped. During this time, I also had periods of incontinence, which was very depressing. I was desperate. After 60 pills in 6 weeks, my internist (infectious disease specialist) told me to see a Urogynecologist. I didn't know this specialty existed. A Urologist who is also a GYN. I found Sherry Thomas online, read her credentials and reviews and made an appointment. Her office is well run, the staff is efficient, kind and courteous. Dr. Thomas is very impressive. She was thorough and to the point. I liked that she had a USC intern, learning and helping, during my visit. After taking a thorough history and examining me, I was given 3 prescriptions and none of them were the general antibiotics I had taken. Within a couple of days, I was feeling the relief of not having a UTI nor incontinence. I was back to normal and very grateful for Dr. Sherry Thomas. Dr. Thomas is very thorough. She did a PCR Pap smear to identify the infection, in case it was a stubborn one. She sent me for a renal ultrasound to ensure my infection/incontinence issue was not due to a kidney or bladder issue. It's been 4 weeks. Today, I saw Dr. Thomas for a follow-up visit. She performed a cystoscopy and I witnessed my healthy bladder. She was gratified that my UTIs are gone. The renal ultrasound revealed no abnormalities. I am on a maintenance dose of two prescriptions and will go back in three months. I always have great instincts and I am thrilled that I followed them to find Dr. Thomas. She also performs surgeries; she's a well rounded physician for our lady parts. I highly recommend Dr. Sherry Thomas.

The office staff was extremely rude. I couldn't get past how un professional "linda" was during my 5 minute call for an appointment. Would never reccomend this place.

I found Dr. Thomas on an internet search. I had hit rock bottom - UTI and then another UTI - over and over. Dr. Thomas was interested in my condition and has given me the first pain free days in a long time. Seeing her is worth the drive. I hope to continue to be in her care and to have pain free days going forward.

I highly recommend Dr. Sherry Thomas. After years of suffering from chronic, recurring UTIs, pelvic pain, urinary discomfort and pain, and being told my problems were due to menopause, my gender, and/or in my head; I was being tolerated at best but mostly dismissed. I was at my wit’s end. Then I made one of the best decisions of my life when I researched and found Dr. Sherry Thomas. She listened, asked questions, thoroughly examined me, formulated a treatment plan, always made sure I understood my diagnosis and treatment, and monitored my progress with timely follow up appointments. Dr. Thomas also uses labs that provide detailed & comprehensive culture & urinalysis results.These defined results helped pinpoint my exact problems. The nursing & front office staff also are exceptional in every way. They, too, listen, explain, support; and thus, add to the care of their patients. Why are you asking me to leave a 5-star review? I’m happy to leave a one-star review because I can’t leave zero. She stood outside my door for 45 minutes talking to a colleague while I nervously waited inside to have an outpatient procedure she said I needed. When she finally came into the room, she had no idea why I was there or what procedure I was supposed to be having. She did the procedure and I was in such pain that I had to beg her to stop halfway through. I left the office in agony, but she never called afterwards to ask how I was doing. Turns out that the procedure she did is no longer done in the office because it is too painful — patients need to be put out. Then she prescribed a drug for me that was recalled because it causes damage to your eyes. I found that out by googling it, but it took her three weeks to contact me to tell me not to take it. I have been a patient of Dr. Sherry Thomas for over 10 years. During that time she has moved her office location twice, each time further away. But, I continue to go to her for all female related needs. I would never want to change to someone else. I have complete trust in her care and knowledge in addressing my needs. Dr Thomas is a wonderful , caring and, knowledgeable physician. I was experiencing extreme bladder pain. I had been to many doctors including Sloan Kettering in New York. All I was told was that I had an angry bladder. My husband found Dr. Thomas on the Internet. I was able to get an appointment right away. She looked over all of my reports and diagnosed me immediately. She confirmed her diagnosis with some tests. I was treated and my pain went away. I had a great experience with Dr. Thomas. I have seen several physicians over the past 10 years. I had two surgeries and both failed to correct my problems. I started having frequent UTIs two years ago and went to yet another specialist who wanted to do surgery right away. A friend told me about Dr. Thomas and she listened to all of my issues, changed some of my treatment course and was very reassuring. I have had a prolapsed uterus for the past three years. I was given a couple of choices for surgery and tried pessaries that eventually fell out. Because of my age, I did not want either surgery. I found Dr. Sherry Thomas from a hospital referral system. On the first visit, she was able to push my uterus in and hold it up with a pessary. It has been three months since my first visit and it has stayed in place. This has given me a better quality of life. It has made walking, sitting down, and getting up so much easier. Dr Thomas deals with difficult issues and tries many experimental and traditional techniques. Unfortunately my insurance does not let me go out of network and I am not on Medicare so the cost does not work for me. If you are someone with any pelvic floor disorder and have Medicare I highly recommend Dr Thomas. She treats issues no one else treats.

I have been seeing Dr. Thomas since 2016. She has changed my life. I went to her with bladder incontinence. I had been to another doctor and tried many solutions. Dr. Thomas was able to address the problem quickly with a positive outcome. Over the last two years I have been experiencing UTIs. The antibiotics would work, and then it would come back. Dr. Thomas recognized the damage I had to bladder from radiation in 1989. She prescribed hyperbaric treatment. After the treatment, I have not had any UTIs and the doctor said that the signs of radiation damage to my bladder were no present. Also, from the radiation and Colo Rectal cancer surgery, I have had consistent trouble with my bowels. I started seeing Dr Thomas about 18 months ago for a problem I was experiencing. She thoroughly explained all of my options and helped me select the path that best suited my situation. Since then she has carefully monitored a condition I had and when it didn't resolve itself she performed the necessary procedure. She is compassionate and thorough and always takes the time to make sure you understand what your options are. Dr. Sherry THOMAS is a no nonsense straight forward professional Doctor. Her passion for helping woman medically shows in her work. I am so happy Dr Sherry THOMAS did my surgery and continues to be my number one choice in her field.

Shocking? maybe. Many places advertise for laser and radio-frequency vaginal rejuvenation treatments--I went to interview several of them. What I found was, spas advertise themselves as medical facilities with a doctor on the board, but a doctor never sees you. Someone does the intake, and a nurse practitioner does the treatments. Which you don’t find out until you are actually in the treatment room, undressed. Then there are the places that advertise for vaginal rejuvenation treatments and have a doctor whom performs the treatments BUT, do not specialize in women’s health conditions or disorders. What are they doing near my intimate area then? The plain truth. Dr Sherry Thomas: a urogynecologist and a female pelvic reconstructive surgeon has treated the most severe conditions in women for over 20 years. In addition to having over 20 years plus experience as a women's health specialist, she also is a serious researcher for female pelvic disorders, and currently has multiple clinical trials under way. On top of all this, she instructs the companies that create these laser and radio-frequency devices how to make adjustments to be more effective for her patients. For me, it was a no brainer! I wanted someone with the knowledge and experience, which Dr. Thomas has, to tell me what treatment was right for me, and why. Furthermore, to know there is someone out there like Dr. Thomas, who is an expert in her field, and can tell me in case there is a problem somewhere else before I undergo a treatment like this, is essential to a women's health I think. Please don’t be naïve, without advanced gynecological medical training, in my opinion, things can go wrong in these treatments. Other places simply do not have the experience or the knowledge. Saved my sex life. I am 68 years old, and I kept having UTI's after sex. My experience w/Dr. Thomas & her staff has been nothing but positive. I’m impressed that several of her staff have been there for many yrs. In my experience, they work hard to be as accommodating as they can. I had a hysterectomy, bladder repair, etc 5/2016 I chose Da Vinci robot assisted system. I would NEVER RECOMMEND DR. SHERRY THOMAS!!! She has NO bedside manner. As I was about to get on the operating table, she said, "If I didn't agree with her, we could STOP NOW!" She stated, on my 3rd visit, that she did not really want to help me because she would get very little money from my insurance, but when I saw what my insurance company paid her, I saw that it was 10X that amount. When I tried to talk to her about this, she refused to discuss this. No! No! No! Do NOT go to her!

I took my elderly mother to see Dr. Sherry Thomas, from the very beginning i was very impressed. Her office staff greeted us and were very accommodating to my mothers needs. They spoke loud enough for her to hear and spoke directly to her. After Dr Thomas did her exam we were taken into her office where we went over her findings. Dr Thomas made sure my mother could hear what was said and that she understood the plan of care. The doctor answered all of our questions and gave us information to read and suggested my mom write down any questions for her follow up appointment, or if needed she could call the office and speak with one of the nurses. After undergoing three major surgeries within a year ( transplant, Whipple and total colectomy), I was experiencing complications from the colon removal. MY colo-rectal surgeon was not helpful; my PC referred me to Dr. Thomas, who performed successful surgery locally, allowing me to get my life back!

Not recommended to you. No patient, no bedside manner. Only spent 2 minutes on the phone with me, and she was always in a hurry. However, she spent 40 minutes on the phone with my physical therapist and selling her to my therapist. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!
