Dr. Soheab Ugradar

I’m very pleased with the outcome of the blepharoplasty and ptosis that Dr. Ugradar performed (Nov 2022). The surgery expanded my field of vision and, as a bonus, I believe it improved my appearance. The operation was painless. Post op, there was little discomfort (no pain med was needed). There was no bruising. Swelling was minimal and hardly noticeable after two weeks. From our first appointment through the two post op exams, Dr. Ugradar took time to listen patiently to my concerns and provide complete and clear answers to my questions. Dr. Ugradar consistently demonstrated competence, courtesy, and caring.

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Ugradar. Aside from taking great care of my health, he is so pleasant to speak to. He always takes the time to thoroughly explain my situation in a very clear manner and makes sure to answer any questions or concerns that I may have. It is very refreshing to see a doctor that combines his expertise with his sensitivity towards the patient. Because of his extensive experience, I right away felt confident that I will be receiving great medical care. And so it was - my surgery went very well and I was more than satisfied with the results. I am reminded daily (when I look in the mirror), what a wonderful and professional job he did. I must also take this opportunity to mention the lovely office staff and the most caring nurses that from beginning to end treated me with respect and genuine care. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know.

In mid February 2022, Dr. Ugradar performed bilateral upper eyelid surgery on my left eye. The lid was drooping and it was effecting my eyesight. I am thrilled with the results. The surgery & aftercare was uncomplicated and simple. Both of my eyes appear aesthetically identical.

Dr Ugradar performed a bilateral ptosis at UCLA to help my restricted range of vision. The procedure was fast and painless. I was amazed at how well Dr. Ugradar and his team coordinated the whole series of steps. I was a little worried about pain and complications from the surgery- there were none. Dr. Ugradar is also a refined, soft-spoken man which I appreciate.

Dr. Ugrader performed a laser procedure on my eye to remove the scar tissue that had formed after my cataract surgery. It is like a miracle how great I can see now. His professionalism and skill were awesome! I highly recommend him.

Had Dr. Ugradar for surgery on my eyelids. He is very detailed and meticulous about his work. He does not have a warm fuzzy manner but when he gets down to you case he is very focused. I had this surgery before and found he managed this with less visible bruising and pain than on my previous experience. I highly recommend him.

I was very nervous about eyelid surgery even though for 3 years in my right eye I had burning and itching every day. Finally, I had an appointment with Dr. Ugradar at UCLA and he assured me it was something he did often and the success rate was high. Result: Surgery was a piece of cake for me, post surgery no issues at all and it solved the issue in my right eye (part of my lower eyelid was turned in and scratching the cornea). I have been a member of UCLA Health for several years. Overall I have found the quality of services to be very good. My best experience was when I was referred to Dr. Soheab Ugradar at UCLA's Jules Stein Eye Center for eyelid surgery. I had droopy eyelids that were not only unattractive but effecting my peripheral vision. Apprehensive at first about surgery I still decided to go ahead and get it done. The whole procedure took place at the Stein Eye Center at UCLA with Dr. Ugradar performing the surgery. The surgery was painless as I was under partial anesthesia. By late morning I was home. It took about 3 weeks for all of the bruising effects to go away but in the end I had brand new beautiful bright looking eyes.It is the best thing I have done so far at UCLA Health. Noticing a positive change in appearance from friends, and family, as well, without commenting, "oh, you had surgery" was a compliment to Dr Upgrade's work. I needed to have eyelid surgery and was very hesitant. I took the eye visual field test and failed it so it really became about safety and being able to see normally. Dr.Ugradar performed the surgery and did a great job. An added benefit to the surgery is I look younger.

Dr Ugradar is a special doctor. He patiently listened to my questions about eye surgery (not an exciting prospect), and didn't rush me. He confirmed my eligibility through my insurance company, and most important was a very skilled surgeon. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Ugradar is a rare find! He recently repaired a surgery that another surgeon had botched with an amazing outcome. He has incredible credentials, exudes confidence and has one of the best “bedside manners” I have ever experienced. He is definitely the doctor to trust with your eyes.

Dr. Ugradar is a very knowledgeable, caring and patient doctor. Unlike other eye doctors I experienced, he doesn't rush to recommending surgeries right away but rather patiently explains the diagnosis and presents options. I trust his judgment and respect his intellect. I am glad he is the one caring for my vision problems.

I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Ugradar a couple of months ago because after undergoing six weeks of radiation after brain surgery I had flaps hanging down over parts of my eyes. He was polite, intelligent and most important was a skilled surgeon. I can't recommend him highly enough.
