Dr. Karas did my rotator cuff surgery, and did a great job, only issue was with pain meds after. They give you a very small amount for a large surgery. My pain dr. said that they should have set me up with a pain dr before surgery. other than this he was awesome! 5* Dr.

Dr. Spero Karas is in a league of his own. Phenomenal Surgeon, great guy and is a step above all the other surgeons.

65 years young and very active. Dr Karas explained every option with the positives and negatives so I could make a informed dispostion

Dr. Karas provided great care for my shoulder injury. Took a conservative approach and only recommended surgery when it was evident that PT was not going to resolve my injury.

My son tore his ACL, MCL and Meniscus and we went in for a consultation with Dr. Karas. From the moment he stepped in the room and started to talk with my 16 year old son who is a football player I knew we had made the right decision. We felt very comfortable with how Dr. Karas explained and relayed information to my husband, son and me. He answered all questions that we had going into surgery. His staff is very friendly. On the day of the surgery the staff took very good care of my son. The surgery lasted for about 2 hours and we were notified immediate after by Dr. Karas. We were allowed to bring his brace and crutches that he had used prior to surgery so that we were not charged a second time for more. Dr. Karas waited for me to retrieve both from the car and I thought that said a lot for him to not charge me a second time. We are still in his care and remain very pleased with his service.

Dr. Karas help me with a shoulder injury. My case involved an unusual injury. Dr. Karas discussed my case with his network of orthopedists and we decided on a non-surgical option. I found Dr. Karas and his team very easy to work with. The office is well-organized and wait times were usually short.

Best orthopedic surgeon in town. Staff and doctor took really good care of me.

He talked directly to her because she was 14 he wanted her to feel comfortable. He answered any questions we had. 2 years later someone from his office called following up on her progress. I'm extremely thankful to have been able to find someone as skilled & knowledgeable as Dr. Karas. After a failed surgery elsewhere & left with poor prognosis & no solutions, Dr. Karas made sure I knew both the +'s & -'s of moving forward with a more difficult & uncommon repair procedure opting with Physical Therapy as a first choice & step. Ultimately getting the revision surgery 7 months ago, I can now say I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome both aesthetically and physically!

Dr. Karas and his team were great before, during, and after my rotator cuff surgical procedure. They displayed technical excellence and a personal touch, taking the time to fully answer questions and explain things in an understandable way. I found it impressive that the Atlanta Falcons and other sports teams have chosen Dr. Karas to care for their players. I am 4 1/2 months post surgery and my shoulder feels great!

Dr. Karas was the surgeon for my right shoulder replacement in about 2010. I was in PT for a long time after. I could not raise my arm except from the elbow down. I was told I wasn't doing enough PT. Even after several months the pain was much worse than before the surgery and it continues to this day. I went to Johns Hopkins for an evaluation and they discovered that a bone had gone through a tendon causing severe inflammation and pain. Believe your body when it tells you something is wrong.

I've been through 2 orthopedists in the past month for a detached bicep and inflammation of my AC joint. The last one wanted to do surgery right away and quoted a 4 inch scar and a lot more pain than is necessary. Dr. Karas, with his entourage of observing and aspiring physicians in tow, sought a much less painful treatment with the added benefit of condensing the possible surgical procedures necessary (if any) to nominal invasion. I thoroughly appreciated his only-what-is-necessary approach and his guidance. You really can't go wrong here. Thanks, doc. I needed ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) surgery on my left knee 8 years ago. Dr. Spero Karas took a hamstring tendon from my left leg and used it to reconstruct the ACL on my left knee using arthroscopy. Three small holes for the surgical tubes and the camera. I was out in 2 hours and back on the tennis court in 6 months. I used a brace for a year. Now - 8 years later I am playing more tennis than ever before, running 10Ks and so on. I feel great. I've enjoyed having Dr. Karas as my orthopedist for my rotator cuff injury. While I initially didn't care for his bedside manner and found him rather gruff, I grew to appreciate his candor, knowledge and skills related to the diagnosis, surgical repair and follow-up care. I am 6 months out of surgery from a 3-ligament tear and ahead of schedule with my recovery. I would highly recommend him for for this type of injury (or any injury of the shoulder).

Dr. Karas is amazing. He was referred to me by a friend and I could not be happier with the outcome. He's attentive, professional, and shows that he truly cares about his patients and their well-being. I have confidence in him as well as his knowledge and talent that my arm will be back to how it was before the break in no time, with only a small scar to show for it.

Dr. Karas is a wonderful doctor! He listened to my concerns and carefully explained the procedure and risks. He is very realistic about what to expect during recovery, and his staff takes great care of you! I had a hook plate and 5 screws placed in November, and underwent a second surgery a week ago for hardware removal. Was not expecting such a quick recovery after a second surgery! Will only recommend him for family/ friend with shoulder/ knee surgery in the future.

Dr Karas is a wonderful Doctor, very competent and really a good person. He has made my shoulder pain free!

Dr. Karas took time to answer all of my questions. He instilled confidence in me by sharing his knowledge and experience. In other words, I felt comfortable that he knew what he was talking about.

I went to Dr. Karas and he found what the MRI techs didn't. This was my very first surgery and the process was extremely smooth. My recovery is going better than imagined.

I just had my ACL on my right knee reconstructed a week and a day ago. I've had this procedure before on my left knee and am about a month ahead of schedule from where I was at the same time with my left knee. All of Dr. Karas and his staff were quick direct and professional. Dr. Karas recommended a couple different options but told me specific to my body and lifestyle and age what my best options were. Rehab is going really well and already past straight with my leg and at 90 degrees bent.
