on Track Your Doctor

Dr. Carney is great for someone who wants in and out. You do have to remind him a couple of times of what you asked him but that’s okay I usually go with the end of the day so everybody’s ready to go home. I have been going there for six years now and everyone has always been nice and professional. They did have one receptionist up there who was extremely rude. She would not let you finish the sentence, I kept trying to tell her that my insurance wouldn’t kick into the first of the month so I was on Finacial Assistance. She kept talking over me. She was extremely rude but has been good to me Like I take Nurtec for migraine headaches and eight pills is over $1000 because insurance doesn’t cover it so he always gives me samples of that medication and also you Brevi, which also a new medication for migraines because I have debilitating cluster migraines and it’s literally saved me after years of my blood pressure being out of control he’s finally got it back to normal. But the last few times I’ve reached out one of his nurses. I won’t say who he was always been nice to me and my husband and nothing but professional has been extremely rude. I don’t know what’s going on with her or she’s got something going on at home or in her personal life, but she’s very shortsighted and very vague with her answers. I have to literally keep sending messages and asking questions that would be obvious that she would need to answer in the first message also because I haven’t had to go in and see Dr. Carney because I haven’t needed to. I’m doing well on everything I did Make a visit for August 2 today is June 14th and I’m literally out o almost every one of my medications and I take about 12 medication today. I do have SLE lupus on top of some other health problems., like my high blood pressure being one of them literally we just got it under control I mean two months ago every time I went to a doctor because I have to see specialist too. I was running about 200/120 so maybe being out of these medications, and not being able to get in till August 2 I was told since I haven’t seen Dr. Carney in a while that I won’t get any refills until I see him in the office . So The other thing is is I used to have Blue Cross Blue Shield and Oklahoma Medicaid as a secondary my husband got laid off so we no longer have the Blue Cross Blue Shield so we have to pay the full office visit to see Dr. Carney so I had to push up my appointment and the earliest I could get in was July 11 I believe which still puts me a month without medication. I just don’t get it. I’ve been going to them for years which yes I do take one narcotic for anxiety, but that’s it and it’s never been a problem before. I don’t see why I should have to go in and pay money and waste the taxpayers money and the doctors time if I’m not sick and just need refills on medication’s, I think if I’m going to see the doctor just needing refills I don’t think I should have to pay a full office visit which is $170 but I was also told it was $240 depending on what they had to do another thing SoonerCare started to wear you have to choose between Aetna or Humana and Humana said that through Oklahoma SoonerCare and through Humana and the program that is offered that Dr. Carney is in network and does take this insurance when I called the office and ask that question I was told if it has anything to do with SCC we’re not taking it even though the insurance company is telling me that he does so I don’t know confusing me I mean and what’s really confusing is my husband got approved through the Health market for Ambetter he got an awesome plan. Total deductible and pocket total is $550 and then after that the rest of the year is zero dollars for specialist medication‘s everything so I call to be added to the plan because I swore my name was on the paper and they just forgot to send me a card and we live together and they said I was eligible now that even possible and he didn’t even apply for this insurance for himself, but it’s through the Health market. Don’t know how that happened , but that’s my luck so in order to get refills life saving refills. I have to pay $170 to just go in there and ask Dr. Carney for some refills for him to check my blood pressure temperature and wait so I don’t know what’s been on the last few months , but a lot of attitudes have changed in that office and I don’t know why every time I go in there before they would put me and my husband in the same room together there let us be seen at the same time get us in and out very quickly had no problems calling her medication and they were super super nice so maybe when I go see him in July maybe it’ll be different but like I said the first five years with Dr. Carney was great. My husband still sees Dr. Carney, but he doesn’t care for him because he says he doesn’t look him in the eye and the first time he ever met him, he would not shake his hand , so he feels like Dr. Carney doesn’t listen to him sometimes but my husband gets paranoid and social situations so I don’t know I have other family that go there as well and they love Dr. Carney so like I said, I love him. It’s of his staff that’s kind act like you’re bothering them , and they’re just there to make their money and go home .

Two month appointment visit. Doctor never looked at my chart. Wanted to order more blood work which I already had. Asked how much I smoked which was on my chart that I didn’t! Waited over an hour for less than 5 minutes with doctor.

Terrible doctor. Makes patients who've been prescribed benzos wait for their medications. Whenever they end up in the hospital over it he blocks them a couple of days from getting their medicine. If he knew what that was doing to their bodies and cared he wouldn't make them wait.

Dr Carney is an awesome dr. My only problem is getting prescription. I was given a prescription for an inhaler yesterday. My insurance wouldn't cover it so I called Dr back and ask for a different one. Still haven't received it and now they are telling me that it could take 48 hrs before I get it.

He has been my Dr. For 17 years and never once have I felt he wasn't taking me seriously or not listening.. A couple years ago on Easter Sunday I was real sick and called his answering service...he called in just less than 15 minutes of leaving the message with instructions

These are not doctors. This DR. won't make eye contact or explain anything. He will prescribe medicine, but if you are a woman, especially single, they look at you like "oh another crazy woman" and throw a bunch of meds at you: even if you have very real physical ailments like thyroid conditions and kidney problems. Also, they treat people badly if you have Medicaid and medicare . IF you have more than high blood pressure or high cholesterol I would not recommend this "doctor."

I made a follow-up appointment for routine blood work. At the end of the very short session where I felt no empathy or compassion, Dr. Carney was not making the typical routine plan to send me to the lab. I asked why and he seemed taken aback and said "well, are you going to pay for it?" I had just pre-paid for this very appointment with him. Dr. Carney told me that a specialist he might refer me to regarding a question I had about my future medical care would likely not see me because I did not have insurance. I said I would pay cash just like I paid Dr. Carney. He told me that because I did not have insurance I would be viewed "as a deadbeat". I don't owe a dime for medical care at this point in time. I was very offended. I won't go back to him.

I'm currently a patient of Dr Carney. He is the most incompetent Dr I've ever dealt with. I have Spina Bifida and a slew of other issues. I need catheters to empty my bladder. The script needs a refill and he absolutely has been a pain in the ass about everything. First he wouldn't fill out the form and right. I called and told them the specific details needed. Now the script isn't being sent to the right company. So I'm not going to be able to get the catheters that I absolutely need. I'm getting over a UTI and need fresh catheters each time. Now I'm going to be forced to reuse them until next month when I have an appointment with a new doctor. If you're a patient of his, switch PCP's ASAP. I'm currently a patient of Dr Carney. He is the most incompetent Dr I've ever dealt with. … More

This doctor is completely the worse Doctor I have ever had the misfortune of going to. I am 73 and is the worse in all 73 years. Please do yourself a favor and do not see him. If there were a 0 he would be it.
