The office staff i believe her name is Virginia was really rude. Why would a Dr allow staff to treat patients in that manner? I didn't mind the wait but I was upset about how that staff person had an attitude. The Dr is really friendly and thorough so sad that one lady was rude. They charge for canceling but they don't answer so I called over a two day span and when they did I was on hold for 22 minutes

First time visit, 2 hours waiting, full lobby. Other patients said it is typical wait time 90 min+... rude receptionists (plural). No eye contact, no greeting, jusr miserable people. I decided to walk out and she told me I'd have to wait again 2 hours if I rescheduled. I laughes... Obviously i wasnt returning (Why have me show up 15 minutes early for paperwork anyways?) Medical records stored in an exam room, full access to anyone who walks in. See photo! The patients in the lobby ALL said great things about the doctor but collectively agree staff sucked otherwise and wait times were aweful. I guess if you don't have a job it doesn't matter... my time is more valuable, I'd rather drive down the hill.

Doctor is great. His receptionists and support staff are generally pleasant but not always. Getting through on a phone call can be difficult if not impossible at times.

I have tried for two weeks to get an appointment. When I call all I get is put on hold and listening to music for 5-10 minutes. I just hang up in frustration. The office staff must really be deaf.

The doctor spends quality time with me. His office staff is very nice. My only complaint would be they don't give any kind of appt reminder. Otherwise, excellent care by the whole office.

I read reviews before going hoping that it would not be as bad. I drove 2 hours for the appointment which was at 9:30 am. I was seen at 11:15 am. The front office staff is absolutely and ridiculously unprofessional. But what concerns me most is that Dr. Damiani allows them to represent him. They are rude and frankly just inept. I’m a veteran and was referred to this office. His staff never read the authorization even though they had it for at least 2 months prior to the appointment. Dr Damiani was good but he didn’t know what to do. He told me what I needed to have done and wrote it on a prescription pad for me to take back to the VA. I agree with the other reviewers.......the staff is the worst I've ever experienced in my life. They do NOT answer the phone, and there is no other way to contact them. Calls just keep going to an outgoing message and there is NO BEEP to leave a message. They did not confirm my appt but I went ahead and drove for 2 hours to get there and another 2 hours to get home. Dr. Damiani is good but he has the rudest and most incompetent office staff on earth!! They have no people skills, could care less about how long the wait time is, hang up on you, or put you on hold and NEVER come back!! I would not recommend them to work with pets!! Look for someone else. That's my advice!!

Dr Damiani is AMAZING, but the staff is the worst. Like many others, I would rate them zero if I could. They never answer the phone and they slide their little privacy glass shut in your face. Even when they tell you to call and confirm they have your results before your appointment, they don't answer. They forward every single call to their paging service who can only take messages and forward them to the staff. And then they don't even return those messages. Called last week to reschedule my appointment because I had a feeling my results wouldn't be in on time, and she said just call the day before to confirm we have them. Now I've called over 20 times today during their listed business hours and they refuse to answer or return my message. I live out of town and I'm not wasting my time driving to Apple Valley if they don't have my results yet so now I'll have to miss the appointment and try to call again to reschedule if they ever answer. If you visit this doctor and you have a co payment make sure keep the receipt or his staff will send you another bill. They won’t accept any other form of payment other than cash. Again MAKE SURE YOU GET PROOF OF PAYMENT! Staff are very rude and ac as though you are fortunate to have their pleasure of their time.

This guy is a hack, went there almost a year. He just continued the temp fix treatment my pcm did to get me by until the “specialist” could help me. All he would ask me is “I’m all ears, what do you think we should do?”. Sir you’re the doctor you tell me, I want to get better!!! On top of that I have always waited longer then 30 minutes past my appointment time. I think hes a very passionate doctor. The staff could be a little personable in my opinion which is why I didnt give a 5. I feel like some of them hate their jobs. I love Dr. Damiani. But like so many others here, I find the staff to be very rude and unhelpful. One of the biggest turn offs is that you can't see the staff from the waiting room. They have a two way mirror window on the counter so they can see you, but you can't see them. There is a sign that says, "Do not knock on the window, we see you." So, you have to just stand there and wait to be acknowledged. I'm all for patient privacy, but this is too much. There is no reason not to have an open window there. It's not like it's bullet proof. Great doctor cares about his patients.

He saved my life! I had been seeing multiple doctors for 17 years for a diagnosis that none could give me. He was "referred" to me by my, gynecologist. Dr. Damiani he ordered my special bloodwork and an ultrasound and like a miracle he found my deadly problem. I was set up to see a surgeon for a biopsy and within a week I had a very diseased thyroid gland removed. Dr. Stephen Damiani saved my life! The world hasn't seen doctors like him in awhile. He's one of the very finest and very few left like him. Thanks to this wonderful man, I got a new lease on life. He's still my hero! I give him 5 STARS plus a health grade of A+ or score 100%! Dr Damiani is great. His larger than life personality is amazing. That being said, his receptionists are the worst. Unfortunately receptionists are who we deal with in a doctors office the most, and can make or break an office. As for these women, you’d think it would physically hurt them to smile. I have never had a pleasant experience with any of these women. They’re rude and argumentative. If they make eye contact, they never smile or even greet you. They talk to you like you’re a burden. The wait times, on average, are well over an hour which I was willing to endure because I love Dr Damiani. However, I refuse to be disrespected and spoken to in a condescending manner. What happened to being polite? This is not how a patient should be treated.

I firmly believe that Dr. Damiani is one of the reasons I am alive. He has been my Dr for years. I don't know how long. He is supportive. He is helpful. He listens. He helps. The times that I have been in the hospital - he is not only there every day. He is the first Dr. in the room. All that knowledge, wit, and kindness in him... Great staff. He spends more time with you than most doctors. He explains things very well. You are never rushed.

I’m giving 2 stars because I think Dr Damian Is awesome! but the staff is very rude. I called to see if they would fax my labs results to a dr he referred me too... she was super rude didn’t do it until the other dr called her, and hung up before I was done talking to her. I needed to make a follow up appointment so I called back and no one answered . I can’t help but feel that was on purpose. I work in the medical field also and I would never treat a pt that way. In 20 years by the time I met Dr Damiani, no doctor would actually listen to my issues. I told Dr. Damiani I was there to actually interview him and told him I would listen to everything he would request and do everything he asked, IF he would listen to me. He did and I did and 5 years later I am happy to be treated still By Dr Damiani. He is a very smart doctor and I highly recommend him

I don’t recommend this place. I’ve held back writing this review giving them the benefit of the doubt but here’s the truth. The staff is rude and unhelpful. You basically have to tell them what to do, call multiple times, and be your own advocate to get anything done because they’re terrible at their job (faxing prescriptions, scheduling appts on time, returning calls, etc). Dr. Damiani is okay. He’s super friendly and takes his time but fails to remember me or my medical history. Also, plan to wait 1 hour PAST your appointment seeing as that has been the average wait time for myself for the past 6 appointments. If you have a choice, go with another endocrinologist. This is the FIRST doctor, in the High Desert and beyond, that took the time to listen and to test for what was needed, as well as knew what to look for and what needed to be done. He's very well versed and knows what he's doing.

I love this doctor. He is literally the best doctor I’ve ever had. But...the horrible awful rude staff need to improve their attitudes. He is such a positive man but you can’t see him without going through the mean unhappy office staff and nurses. The only exception is Jenna. She cares about patients like Dr. Damiani does. If you can stand to be around the rotten staff you should come to him. Be prepared to be ignored and treated like dirt. But once you meet him you will love him. Best in the field he is a caring Doctor

Very disappointed. Waited an hour and a half passed my appointment time before I saw him. Wants a cardiologist to check my heart and learn if it will not be negatively affected by the prescribed medicine. In Orange County California I rarely had problems with doctors. Since moving to Hesperia I feel demeaned by the office personell if not necessarily the doctors. I am in constant Hellish pain and suffering. The staffs just don't seem to care. When you get old folks treat you like dirt.

I was referred to the Doctor through the VA choice program and my obgyn. I am pregnant and my ob wanted my Grave's disease monitored during my pregnancy as I have had recent miscarriages and he wanted to ensure my thyroid was in check to ensure the health of my baby. This is a Doctor that truely cares about his patients. He helped me regain my health over a period of a few years. Follow up excellent. I could go on but the message is clear. He's the best Doctor in the high desert.

I was seeing Dr. Damiani when we were stationed there around 2010. He is the most loving dr and always made my visits comfortable. Hubby and i loved cutting up with him and use to get a kick out of the staff always telling him to quiet down because he was talking too loud. It was so nice to see a dr that could be serious about your illness but to also joke around with you as well. Ppl take life way too serious. I wish all doctors were like him. I couldnt wait for my next apmt because even if i was having a bad day, i KNEW by the time i left his office that i was going to be in a better mood and leave with a smile on my face. I have been seeing Dr. Damiani for years. Dr. Damiani is a very caring and a compassionate doctor. He has addressed all of my needs and has help my family with a very rare syndrome. His staff is great and I always know that Dr. Steve will take care of me.

This is the worse office I have ever been to, the ladies in the front are just plain out rude. The wait is about 2 hours till you get seen it's unbelievable and the Dr spends less than 5 mins with you. I will never go back to this office again.

Great Dr. But the worst office staff I've ever delt with. This was my 5th apt. The first one I waited 4hrs. The serving one I waited 3hrs. The third one I waited 2 hrs. I was 1/2hr early for the last one and I was out in about 1hr 20. Today I have to take my mom to the airport so I'm a while hour early so I can be seen at 930 which is my appointment time. I mentioned that to Angela at the front desk, who told me the dr won't start seeing patients until 945, and the are 9 and 915 patients ahead of me. When I told her that's not ok and stayed to say how long I have waited for other appointments she told me that's not her problem and they don't control the drs schedule. (Really?!) Best doctor in the high desert because he is interested in listening to his patient. There are too few doctors like this in the high desert area. Great physician and wonderful professional with the utmost integrity.

Dr. Damiani has been my my endocrinologist for 16 years. He truly treats his patients with sincere compassion along with his expertise and professionalism.

I have had 3 total visits with Dr. Damiani in the past year. The staff is extremely unfriendly and rude. At every appointment I have waited in the cramped reception area 45-55 minutes, to be rushed into a second room for stats, and rushed into an exam room to wait another 10-20 minutes for the doctor who then spends about 5 minutes very loudly voicing his advice. The surgery he recommend was wrong according to two other doctors and could have cost me my vocal cords. I recommend go elsewhere.

Greatest care ever given. It's taken 21 years to get proper diagnosis and seen him once with my list of complaints and was sent for ultrasound and diagnosed the same day by him and radiologists. Surgical procedure was scheduled with urgency and 10 years this year I'm doing well because of Dr. Damian MD. Love this man. He was such a blessing and still my doctor, lso my husband's doctor. He has helped us both stay on top of all healthcare. Love Dr. Damiani. Would highly recommend him....

Dr Damiani is the best endo Dr that I have ever been to. He is compassionate and lively. However his staff is unbearable. They are rude and inconsiderate, they bill out my insurance wrong everytime I go, they don't inform you that you owe money and I never know until a collections agency is calling and they don't do reminder calls so you better remember your appointment or you will be charged and don't be late or you're charged. I hate leaving Doctor but I can handle he staff any longer.

He is a great doctor, compassionate and knowledgable. BUT He talks too fast and doesn't give a chance to his patients to ask questions so you have to pay attention and make sure you do ask. He is often not on time and makes his patients wait sometimes for over an hour. His staff is awful. It always seems like they either don't care or have no clue about what they are doing.
