I started seeing Dr. Harlin in February 2017 because I have a rare condition of Primary Hyperaldosteronism which causes hypertension and an imbalance in my potassium and sodium levels. My goal was to find a doctor who would treat this condition without pharmaceuticals and Dr. Harlin’s Center for Precision Medical Practice offers his patients clinical genomics-based primary care. He uses genetic screening to assess the root causes of disease. He also screens for the most prevalent health risks, as well as specific screenings particular to each patient. The benefits really surprised me in all the positive changes in my body since a year ago. I have lost weight, lowered my blood pressure and received the best lab work report ever. My last set of labs, ordered by my nephrologist, had all readings in the green. This is the first time all my lab readings were in the green since I was diagnosed with Hyperaldosteronism in 2008. My diligence with the program Dr. Harlin designed for me, based upon my genetic evaluation, family history, and blood work has contributed to the wonderful results today. I typically do not write reviews, but my experience with Dr. Harlin warrants a raving one. Dr. Harlin is the most thorough and caring problem solver. He takes the time to research and peel back the layers of your issues and health concerns. In a time where doctors are more concerned with productivity and do not always spend time with their patients, it’s refreshing that there is still a doctor whose main concern is truly helping you. I have been battling reoccurring bladder cancer and UTI’s for the past 4 years. I turned to The Harlin Center for Precision Medicine in desperation. Through Genome analysis and Microbiome analysis Dr. Harlin was able to discover where my problems originate and is establishing a plan to optimize my health. He takes his time, does the research, reviews all the data and gives me clear answers to my health concerns. Patient education, diet and fitness are all parts of the program.
