I started going to Dr. Johnson's dental office I when moved to Grand Junction mainly because he has the same last name I do. But I found out that there was more to his work than that. I am blessed to have very good dental health, but the one thing that sealed my "loyalty" was when I needed to have fillings done. Dr. Johnson's skill in injecting the novocaine was beyond brilliant. My previous experiences with that part of fillings had been too painful. Dr. Johnson's method of injection is much less painful than the methods of other dentists I have been to. He is attentive to what is working and what isn't working in my mouth.

The team here is incredible! I have had emergency issues come up in the past and they have always got me in right away even with their busy schedule. My hygienist Jessica Kasten, also does an incredible job as her attention to detail is spot on! BIG SMILES!

Dr. Johnson has been my dentist for twenty plus years. My teeth are in great condition thanks to his expert care. Lori, Jessica, and Pauline are top notch assistants. All are highly trained, kind, and earnest. My husband is a devoted patient, too!

I've been going to them for years with the same great care, staff & service. I didn't like going to the dentist, but now I go twice a year.

Our family has been going to Dr. Johnson’s practice for 20 years. Dr.Johnson and his staff provide professional care in a high quality and friendly environment. Always a proactive approach to preventive practices.

Dr. Johnson and staff are wonderful! No need to take kids anywhere else; everyone is wonderful with the kids.

Dr Johnson and his staff are the best!! They are very professional, at the same time being informative and caring. I have had a couple emergency situations and they managed to get me in immediately .

The staff is so accommodating and professional. They sincerely care and are excellent at what they do professionally and customer service wise. My Grandmother has used them for 20 years as well as other family members.

I absolutely love this dentist. Saved me thousands of dollars and has tons of expertise. Great service from the staff and all very friendly. I have absolutely found my long term dentist in Grand Junction.

I love that the staff truly care about the health of my gums and teeth. They really personalize the experience by remembering past visitation conversations. I highly recommend getting your dental work done here!

Dr Johnson has been my dentist for 30 plus years. I have always had positive experiences and highly recommend his services. His staff is kind and gentle. I am not a fan of ANY dental work but they make it easier to get the care that I need.

Sadly I will not utilize the services of Stephen L Johnson DDS any longer for my families needs. We had a terrible experience with their office staff. I was charged for a service that was covered by my insurance. They insisted on trying to balance bill to cover the negotiated discount THEY contracted through Cigna. It was a lengthy process where at one point they denied me service because I questioned my bill. My 10 year old son was with me at the time and told me on the ride home that he does not want to go back to them. He did not like the way they behaved. If you choose to use their services be very vigilant about your bills. Cigna finally got them to issue a refund for the amount that they overcharged on my account but this was on one claim. They also have a tendency to bill for the provider that would be out of network for your claim even if you did not see them for the service. I saw Dr. Reed for services and was claimed for insurance that I saw Dr. Johnson. Again this had to be refunded to my account. Overall this was a terrible experience. Just a week before this began they claimed i was a valued customer and requested I leave a review online. I take my entire family here and its great!!! My husband, 4 boys and I enjoy the care that we receive here.The people are always happy, helpful and very complementary of our teeth :)

Dr Johnson and all of the staff are great here. I highly suggest them due to the fact that they won’t push useless procedures on you. They only do what is necessary for your dental health.

I have been going to Dr. Johnson's (and now also Dr. Reed's) office for many years. I switched to them when I saw how wonderful they were to my ailing mother. They have performed a full range of dentistry for me, including extensive cosmetic dentistry. They are simply the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Johnson’s for close to 30 years!!! I have continued to be a patient over all these years due to the personal, comfortable, highly skilled, and well staffed practice! I love the fact that it’s a smaller practice and look forward to going to my 6 month cleanings. Dr Johnson has done extensive work on my teeth due to an auto accident and more!!! I have always been beyond pleased with the results!!! Both my daughters had Dr Johnson as their dentist throughout their growing up and he took on my 80 year mom when I moved her to Grand Junction! Dr Johnson has a WONDERFUL demeanor ! he explains what hes doing and why, and very easy going (and he smiles !! ). The staff are ALL very comfortable to be around, happy, friendly and professional. My wife, Penny and myself recently went to Dr. Johnson for some moderately serious dental work. As most people going to the Dentist is a test by fire, filled with dread and unimagable fears usually associated over a quick burst of pain at anytime. To our amazement, neither of us can speak to having a bad experience with this excellent doctor and his wonderful staff to include Lori and Pauline. Dr. Johnson has a disarming personality and is careful to explain the work he is about to perform. His gentle ways are only matched by the sense of confidence he gives off. And, his warm personality and at times short stories he tells about life, keeps his patients interests upon something more valuable than the grueling images of drilling enamel, needles in the roof of one's mouth or the various procedures that conjure up so much fright. We have recommended Dr. Johnson to our friends and they too are very happy with his work and pricing. Anyone going to Dr. Johnson must ask to hear the story about BRUTUS! Dr. Johnson is the best of the best! My husband and I have been going to Dr. Johnson for 20 plus years and it is such a comfort to know that he is here when we have a dental problem. I cracked 6 front teeth a few months ago. He and his wonderful staff fixed me up better than I was before the accident. I am amazed at his skill and attention to details as well as his compassion. Everyone makes you feel comfortable. They have taken very good care of me and my teeth.

I stumbled upon Dr, Johnson when he was the only one who could squeeze my wisdom tooth removal in before a vacation. To my utter surprise, I had no swelling, and needed no pain meds! He has been my primary dentist for 11 years now.
