Haven't been in a long time, as I needed an apmnt right away while working in the area, but not a patient. Was seen and had tooth fixed immediately regardless of living in Mass, but worked in RI. What I have read recently with the closure, then making this man have to go to court, THEN saying Nah, nevermind, you can NOW open... Is absolutely criminal! I hope Dr. Skoly sues the state, then moves to Mass. I'd definitely go regularly if he was closer as I don't even work in RI anymore! Hang in there Dr. You have many people on your side of this issue, the right side. Great ....very efficient and thorough
Dr. Skoly is a great surgeon and kind man. His office and employees are amazing! I only wish I had found him sooner in life.
In March of last year my father-in-law who is a veteran of World War II visited Dr. Skoly .My father-in-law was not a patient but needed to have a tooth removed. He was suffering from cancer and no one really wanted to touch him. Dr. Skoly was nice enough to remove the tooth. When we went to pay Dr. Skoly ,he found out my father-in-law was a world war two veteran. He would not accept payment. We went for a follow up visit later on in the year and again he would not accept money from my father-in-law. Dr. Skoly is a super doctor and a great American. Stand up great Doctor!!!
I am praying for you and everyone at your practice. I stand with you know one should be forced to get the vax . We have an immune system if we put good things in our body it works for us. I was a dental assistant. Now Wellness Consultant . Thank you for fighting for not just yourself but others. ????????????
I never went to this dentist but just want to say. I support his right not to get an experimental vaccine that has no long term studies. We shouldn't be forced to be human guinea pigs to fatten the wallets of big pharma and lying politicians. No one should lose their livelihood for refusing to be a human guinea pig, especially with natural immunity. Glad Dr Skoly is standing up for his right. The state should let people decide whether or not they chose to see the doctor knowing they are vaccinated or not. I saw Dr. Skoly three separate times to remove a wisdom tooth each time. Each time the tooth was in bad shape and I only wanted it removed. Dr. Skoly took each tooth out with almost no pain, no bleeding, nothing. I returned to work right after. He also made time for me each time I called in pain. He is personable as well.Dr. Skoly is the best.
You have a lot of support out here. Government overreach has gotten out of control. Since when do they have our best interests in mind? It’s all profit driven. Thanks Stephen
I am stunned at how Dr Skoly, an awesome Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon is being persecuted for not obeying a non constitutional vaccine mandate. Natural immunity is indeed as effective, if not more, to a vaccination. His patients, as I and another family member, are left without necessary follow-up for procedures already in process. Denying him his license to practice without due process is unlawful. Although not an anti vaxxer, there are exclusions to being given that shot in the arm. Nicole Alexander Scott made a bad call in denying Rhode Islanders such as I necessary care. We should have the freedom to choose whether we want to continue to be patients of Dr Skoly. I support him, and and so do most of his patients. What a shame!
Very unprofessional and rude. Avoid at all costs.

My daughter had an awful experience. Went in to have 4 wisdom teeth extracted and was treated extremely poorly. She was sent back to the waiting room after she was already hooked up to start procedure and had to wait 45 min (punishment for being 10 min late). Once brought back in, she was given gas instead of an IV (which we were told she was going to get) that she had a reverse reaction to. Made her EXTREMELY anxious and very awake and aware of what was going on. I was in the waiting room the entire time (45 minutes) and not told any of this was happening. Isn’t that the reason why I stayed, to be informed of any problem? When I was taken in to see her when they told me the procedure was done, she was crying and kept saying she had to go back to have other 2 removed. I was shocked! Staff was extremely rude! Needless to say, found another office to have others removed with a much better, extremely different, pleasant experience. My daughter had an awful experience. Dr. Stephen T. Skoley extracted my tooth and it was like a medieval torture session. He gave me so many Novocain shots, I became ill. Then he yanked my tooth like a medieval barber. He gave me no antibiotics even though my root was infected. I suffered for months and he did nothing and seemed not to care. He only spent about 1 minute with me in aftercare, which I insisted on - he didn't think it was necessary. Finally, my regular dentist gave me antibiotics. The staff is very nice, however. Great experience! The front desk personnel was pleasant and the Dr., along with his operating team, are truly professional and courteous. Would highly recommend this office.
The staff made an uncomfortable tooth issue very comforting. They are extremely professional and courteous. I would recommend Dr Skoly to anyone needing an extraction.
I had oral surgery performed by Dr. Skoly back in the mid-2000's and I found him to be friendly and skillful. I wound up with a dry socket and I was able to get in quickly to have it remedied. When they tell you not to drink out of straw right after surgery there's a reason, which I found out the hard way! Fast forward a decade and I found myself taking my two teenage daughters to Dr. Skoly to have their wisdom teeth removed. His staff were wonderful in easing my daughters' fears and the surgery was completed without any complications other than some swollen cheeks for a couple of days. Dr. Skoly is the best! I've gotten lock jaw twice now that wouldn't resolve itself (thanks TMJ) and Dr. Skoly has been superb in taking care of it. I just had my 2nd TMJ jaw reduction done and felt much less anxious about it this time around. If you have anomaly oral problems like me, you're in good hands here! Thanks again Dr!

I have severe dental phobia, and having to walk into an Oral Surgeon's office truly put me over the edge! However, Dr. Skoly's entire team of office professionals put me at ease the moment I walked in! Not to mention Dr. Skoly himself! He took his time with me, explained each step he was taking and before I knew it, the procedure was finished and I was on my way home! I highly recommend Dr. Skoly and his entire practice to anyone needing to see an Oral Surgeon, now if he could only be my dentist!! He's the best!
Started out good....Last 3 visits went down hill. Very Bad. No communication skills at all. Never returns a call. makes promises he doesnt keep.
Dr Skoly and his staff are great! Reassuring throughout my whole procedure that went smooth and painless! I would recommend their office to anybody!
Once again I was amazed at the perfect work that Dr, Skoly performs. Zero pain. I was shocked that the extraction was already completed - in literally seconds! Excellent staff as well. I would highly recommend Dr, Skoly.
The absolute worst medical experience that I have ever had. So in November 2015, about two months after my mother’s passing, I needed to have wisdom teeth removed because I was in pain. Dr. Skoly, removed two of my wisdom teeth. I thought everything was fine, but then noticed that they only prescribed me enough Vicodin for about 2 days. In the middle of the second day, I realized that I was still in an immense amount of pain and that I only had one pill left so I knew I would need something else. I called his office and asked if there was anything else I could take, his staff seemed to not care and said there was nothing more that I could take and to Ibuprofen. I tried that when I ran out of Vicodin and that did nothing for my pain. I called again several times and they only scheduled me for an appointment about 2 weeks later. I was in pain and taking a bunch of Motrin and Tylenol, which just took the edge off the pain slightly, but did not solve the problem. When I finally saw the doctor, he said I had a dry socket, but that it had started to fill so he didn’t need to do anything to it. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this doctor. You would think they would have made an appointment for me immediately given my complaints of pain, but they did not care. It was horrible. I could barely sleep or eat. While the Dr. I met with at my consultation seemed nice, the office staff are less than competent. I received a call to confirm my wisdom teeth removal the day before my surgery. I said yes I was coming, she told me not to eat or drink after midnight, and then we hung up. The usual. The day of the surgery I called to let them know I was running a few minutes late, and the woman on the phone told me I was no longer scheduled because I had "called to cancel the day before because they weren't in my network and I wanted to find a surgeon who was". Obviously there was some mistake on their end because I wouldn't be calling to let them know I was running behind if I had cancelled for such a specific reason. She was very rude and unapologetic, and when I argued that whoever made that phone call doesn't know what she's doing, she interrupted me to say "no, we write everything the patient says down". Well, maybe they do but they charted that in the wrong patient's file. So now some other patient who tried to cancel their own appointment is probably going to be wrongly billed for not showing up for an appointment they tried to cancel. I wouldn't be as bothered if she even said "so sorry about the mix up, I wish there was something we could do to fix this", but instead she basically implied that I was lying and wouldn't be able to reschedule me for another month. I absolutely will not be returning as a patient here. I can't risk something like this happening again when other people have to disrupt their own lives to watch my small kids and stay with me for the procedure. Couldn't have been better! I had a very difficult extraction and Dr. Skoly did an amazing job. I felt some pressure, but no pain. He was very friendly, patient, told me what he was doing, and answered all my questions. His equipment was excellent and the staff was top notch. I will not go to anyone else. Highly recommended.

THE OVERLOOKED HERO During this time of mandated isolation and a seemingly invincible virus we celebrate all who courageously jeopardize their own health and safety in efforts of ensuring ours. One such hero deserving of utmost praise is Dr. Skoly. He and his staff have continued providing treatment daily throughout this pandemic. Being phobic of the dentist my entire life, I was more than a little afraid. However, I was so floored by their compassion I literally became preoccupied with amazement. He first explained exactly what it entailed, assuring me my comfort was as much a priority as the surgery. As I waited for Novocaine to activate his assistants popped their heads in with a smile or a thumbs up. Before I knew it he was declaring success, praising my bravery, and providing after care instructions. For the sake of brevity I’m omitting many details but suffice to say I have never experienced such compassion from a medical team. I cannot recommend him highly enough!!
I was very happy with my first visit. Staff was pleasant and helpfull. Dr. Skoly was very personable. Explained the procedure very well. I will recomend him to friends and family. Best oral surgeon i,ve ever been to.
BRUTAL!!! I was promised Nitrus. And, billed for it. I never got it. I realize I was on a drug that he was worried about, but at a very low dose. I went off 3 days later. I had 9 teeth pulled. I had a black eye, from the nitrus hose, that never produced. I've had it a million times, I know what it feels like. My bottom chin was bruised for 2 weeks. They were TOP teeth. His personality was great, not so much with his staff. They are very standoffish. And, rude. Not comforting at all. Never again. When it's time for my bottoms to go, I'll go somewhere else. I'd say more, but there's someone I can't bag here.
Dr. Skoly and his staff are one of THE BEST oral surgeons that I have ever been too. ...And I have been to many. I have visited him many times and was always treated as though I was very important to him. Dont miss out on visiting him and his staff...

I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed in November of 2015 by Dr. Skoly. I ended up with a dry socket and was in an immense amount of pain. When I called his office the next day to tell them that I was still in pain (I did not know the reason at the time) and asked for additional pain medication, I was not provided with any assistance. I was told that there was nothing that they could do. Keep in mind that I was only given pain medication to last into the day after the surgery and when I saw that I was running out, but still in pain, I called his office. I tried taking Ibuprophen and acetaminophen, but had no luck. I could barely sleep or eat because of the pain. I had to wait for my follow-up appointment, which was over a week later. It was at that point that Dr. Skoly confirmed that I had a dry socket. He clearly did not handle my pain properly and after that terrible experience, I decided to leave my other wisdom teeth in. I only had the teeth removed on the left side, since that was the side that was bothering me the most. If I ever have to remove my other wisdom teeth, I would never go there again. I still have phantom pain in the area where my tooth was pulled. He seemed pleasant enough when I met him, but he is a terrible oral surgeon. Horrible office and very unprofessional. They will screw with your insurance and you will receive crazy bills that you are unaware of. Almost all the employees aren't licensed. They talk about the patients and make fun of them. The doctor does not have patients fully put under. Do not be surprised when you hear a patient say they were awake for the entire wisdom teeth procedure. Even if the patient chose and was promised to be put under.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had! I had to get all four of my IMPACTED wisdom teeth out a couple years ago and got no anesthesia when it was highly requested from me and my mother. He novacaned my whole mouth (so I couldn't swallow for hours) and my recovery was extremely painful. The procedure was painful and I cried out of pain and anxiety the whole time while he's telling the other members to "make sure I stay still" Would not recommend this surgeon.

I was PETRIFIED to have a tooth extracted..I had one done yesterday morning and all that fear and worry was for NOTHING!! Dr. Skoly and his team treated me gently and understood my anxiety. Dr. Skoly examined me and agreed I needed a tooth extraction. I was placed on a VS machine and Dr. Skoly put an IV in my arm easily. I was then given some IV relaxation/pain medication and before I knew it I was awake and the tooth was gone. 45mins I was walking out the door ZERO PAIN ZERO ISSUES!!

The extraction of this molar has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my entire life. I have very high anxiety and regardless of the amount of pain or lack there of that the specialist said I will have- I requested to be put to sleep. Tears and all throughout the entire process, I was only given local anesthesia and a gas that made me woosy. In the end I did feel some pain and besides the point I agreed to pay for the procedure to be put to sleep and was denied.NeverAgain.
