I’m 18 and broke and dislocated my left shoulder 4 years ago wrestling (I had two surgery’s to put 5 pins in, this was done by a different doctors). I was cleared to wrestle again my sophomore year but, I broke my left hand and wasn’t able to use that hand for 2 months. I had a lot of muscle loss in an already compromised arm so when I tried to build muscle and get ready for my junior year my body couldn’t take it. My shoulder was grinding and hurting all the time. I would have a 1st degree strain on my shoulder that took me of the mat for tournaments so I could keep it for regionals. At regionals I was in my semi finals match and I was up by 9 points and and I tore my labrum and kept wrestling that match, my coach would have to drive me to the hospital afterwards. I went to see dr.thompson and he told me what was up and had me all set up to get my shoulder fixed. The best doctor ever... might even get the wrestle my senior season because of him. My husband was air flighted to Emmc after an accident where Doctor Stephen Thompson was there with the trama team waiting for my husband, he performed a successful surgery on my husbands knee and did an amazing job. We are so greatfull to him and his skill as a surgeon. Would highly recommend him

He did my shoulder surgery in July, 2017. I was never able to lift my arm or do any physical therapy because my shoulder would pop out and grind. It was doing the same thing as it was before surgery, only now I could not use my arm, it was much worse. He left me in agony for seven months, and kept telling me my arm was just weak and to keep working it. He finally sent me for a repeat MRI, but refered me to a different surgeon. They got my results back, didn't send them to the refering physician, then called me and asked me if that office had called to make an appointment yet. Well, even if they did, they had nothing to go by. So, the new Dr called them for the MRI. It seems my shoulder is a mess with several issues. Weak??? When I saw Dr. Thompson for my knee, he was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable and extremely thorough in explaining what was going on to me. He took the time that I needed and I didn't feel that he was rushing to get through the appointment. I was able to get an appointment very quickly to be seen. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson to anyone having knee problems.
