Best doctor and staff.

I was so please with my pre-op visit for a knee replacement. Dr. Walsh took the time to explain every detail of the procedure and answered all of my questions with a warm and wonderful demeanor. I have total confidence in him for my upcoming surgery.

He's amazing! I highly recommend him.

Dr Walsh was very friendly, answered all my questions, and was very thorough at my appointment. I was very pleased.

Dr Walsh is incredibly caring, takes all the time you need and never rushes you. I wouldn’t let anyone else in the world do my surgery other than Dr Walsh. Bangor is so fortunate to have him.

Excellent surgical 6-week follow-up today. Fully answered all questions and concerns. Surgical outcome very good, despite unanticipated complications.

Dr Walsh is very approachable , answering questions with clear explanations. He did not make me feel rushed at all during the office visit I would highly recommend Dr Walsh and his staff.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Walsh. He performed my first knee replacement in 2010. That replacement is still going strong. Real recovery time was six plus weeks. He performed my second knee replacement at the end of June 2021. I arrived at Downeast Surgical Center at 6:30 am. Surgery at 7:30 am. Released at 2:00 pm. Home in my own bed by 2:30 pm. I would recommend Dr. Walsh 100% to anyone needing knee surgery. He is the best. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Walsh. He performed my first knee replacement in 2010. I was fit into Dr. Walsh's schedule and upon meeting him I was very impressed with his friendliness and explanation of my injury. He took time to explain everything out to me.

I could not of asked for Dr Walsh to be more understanding and he gave me hope when I didn’t think there was any. I would highly recommend him! It’s now been a year since I made my first review and I have had both knee replacement surgery’s. I’m six weeks out from my second one and I can say that I’m certainly glad that I have had them done. It’s a lot of hard work but they are there to help you through it. I would highly recommend Dr. Walsh and Misti. They are a great team to have on your side and I can’t thank them enough! Always willing to spend the time answering my questions. Always positive and optimistic , but will tell it to you straight. I always feel that he genuinely cares about my progress.

Very efficient. Kind office staff. The medical providers were prompt, kind, answered all my questions, spent a good amount of time for my issue, seemed to really listen to my concerns.

Dr Walsh is always patient and listens, I have been going to him for atleast ten years and would not go to anyone else.

Dr. Walsh has the best bed side manner and makes me feel comfortable and confident in all of our discussions. He is wonderful in answering all of my questions (even some weird ones!) and making suggestions to ease my recovery from knee replacement.

“This place” is a practice consisting of orthopedists with various sub-specialties. In the past several years I’ve seen five of them and had surgery with two, Dr. Walsh being the most recent. Everyone I’ve seen on this practice has been absolutely excellent, and I have found Dr. Walsh to be the same. He is very experienced in performing the procedure I had. He has inspired me to to feel great confidence in his skills and in my prospects for recovery. He is professional in manner and also personable and caring, a trait I’ve not usually encountered in most of my previous surgeries, not including this practice. A great doctor and a great person. Dr Walsh is the best orthopedic surgeon ever. I have had a few surgeries and the healing time and level of pain is minimal compared to previous experiences, his staff at the office are all kind and compassionate and efficient. His team in the OR are truly caring and very skilled in their work. I feel blessed to have had such capable hands fix my knee. Cannot praise them enough. A great doctor and a great person. Seven years ago Dr. Walsh performed a total knee replacement surgery on my right knee. The surgery turned out very well. I have virtually no pain and complete freedom of movement with my right knee. He did an excellent job and I recommend him highly. About 4 years ago we moved to Virginia. When my left knee required surgery it was convenient for me to have an orthopedic surgeon in Virginia Beach perform the surgery. Unfortunately this surgery did not go very well and I have limited range of motion in my left knee. To get a second opinion, I went to see Dr. Wash while we were visiting in Maine. Doctor Walsh was extremely helpful in diagnosing the reason for the stiffness in my left knee and recommended a plan for treatment. I will have him correct the problem with the stiffness in my left knee. He is a wonderful surgeon with a great manner. I highly recommend him to all who ask. My only regret is that I did not have him perform the surgery on my left knee, but I live in Virginia and not Maine. Excellent practitioner and a fine craftsman!

My visit was a post-op visit for my total knee replacement surgery I had on 4/28. Dr. Walsh explained to me the surgery performed and how my progress in my recovery is on track. He answered every question I had and as always he was very compassionate. Dr. Walsh is a fantastic doctor and wouldn’t go anywhere else for my knee issues - even after moving out of the area. I have recommended him to several people.

Dr. Walsh connected with my wife by phone during my visit which was a bonus for me. We were able to discuss and share information and come up with a plan. Dr. Walsh listens then speaks in a manor easy to understand, includes your voice in the decisions making process. He backs up his decisions with commonsense reasoning, always mindful.

Dr. Walsh is kind, funny, encouraging, and answered my 100 questions with a smile on his face. I highly recommend him.

Oh my, I had my first visit after his being highly recommended. I found him to be a dream come true: knowledgeable, extremely easygoing and patient (very un-surgeon-like!), and so very compassionate. All my fears were put to rest.
