Dr. Cohen was referred to me by another well respected plastic surgeon who teaches at UCSD. I was told he’s the best of the best- an innovator in his field, a mentor to other surgeons, and a good man. Indeed he is everything I anticipated: kind and a true artist both in and out of the OR. Please don't goto Dr. Cohen, he operated on me and I had to have 4 surgeries I asked him to help me or give me my money back for I was in so much pain, that the implant was coming out of my jaw!!!! threw my skin. I had known Dr Cohen since I was a baby. He did facial reformative surgeries on me from then up to high school on my nose. He was so kind, so caring, so curious in the best of ways. Always made sure I was feeling good, all that jazz. Four years ago, I had a double jaw surgery done by him. Worst decision I've made in my life. Such a surprise to feel this way because he had been such a great and caring doctor up until this surgery. First off, he did it wrong... The intention of the surgery was to align my jaw- something that didn't end up happening. To this day, my jaw still doesn't align, it has even gotten worse and gone back to a bit of an underbite and only meets at two points. Second off, right after this Major Surgery, he went of to travel right after without telling us!!!! What doctor would do that without telling their patient after a major surgery?? Dr Cohen, that's who. We literally only communicated with him once very briefly. Which was SO surprising because previously we had consistent communication and he was always so kind and attentive to us. This surgery and the recovery was extremely traumatic and still haunts me today. Because of his mistake Im going to have get Another jaw surgery..... NOT FROM HIM THOUGH! Dr. Cohen is the worst doctor!!! He did a simple procedure and I had to have 4 surgeries to correct his mistake. When I contacted him he never would help me at all. He is a salesman, painter, not a plastic surgeon.

Dr. Cohen and his entire team are top notch! Often Dr.’s will put their best foot forward and over time take their patients for granted. Dr. Cohen, Michele, Sierra, Ashley and Alex continue to exceed my expectations and without hesitation I would recommend them to my friends and family.

I am six months out from my surgery and could not be happier. I visited 4 other surgeons in the area and decided on Dr. Cohen because he was by far the most experienced. His office is beautiful and the staff is so friendly!

I am very disappointed in Dr. Cohen. He performed a revision blepharoplasty on me which left me with an eye too small and droopy which, of course, needs revision. The worse part is that he just abandoned me with no recommendation for how to repair this. I spent a lot of money on this procedure and now somehow I have to come up with more for the revision. I feed duped and very sad.

If you are a member of the LGBT community, you need to look elsewhere. This Practice in NOT LGBT friendly, especially Dr. Cohen, MD..

Charged $100 for a Skype conference and then declined to take as patient. It was not a helpful interaction at all. Waste of money.

If I could give zero stars I would. I came to see this doctor for a horrible rash on the back of my legs. The doctor barely spent any time with me and determined that the rash was probably just bug bites. (It did not look or feel like any bug bites I've ever had and I verbalized this concern to the doctor who was quick to cut me off). She prescribed me steroid cream to help with the itching and rushed me out. Meanwhile, I ended up with a bill of $117. Long story short, I ended up having to see another doctor who laughed at the "bug bite" diagnosis and actually ran tests and determined that it was an infection and I needed to start antibiotics ASAP. If I had not started antibiotics I could have become septic (the injection could have gotten into my blood stream). I then called the office to dispute the $117 charge due to this obvious negligence. The office manager and doctor only gave me a hard time telling me her clinical notes documented that she gave me a full body examination (which she didn't). So, not only was the doctor negligent, but she is now falsifying her clinical notes to get paid at a higher rate. I have never had such a horrible experience with a doctor in my life. BEWARE! Dr. Cohen is great: knowledgeable with tremendous expertise and skill but I went in for a follow up to make a decision between two surgeons and was left in the examining room for 1 1/2 hours, apparently completely forgotten. and could not get anyone's attention. BTW, this was while Kris was out on maternity leave. Finally I spoke w/ a receptionist on the way out and explained why I was leaving. NO apology, no explanation and no follow up phone call. I chose a different surgeon. Very frustrating. Each time I try to get a consultation the doctor is late. I come from north county and don't want to bear the congested traffic getting home in the afternoons. It would seem reasonable to me to have one day a week or month for morning consultations.

Dr. Cohen performed my breast lift with a small implant due to loss of volume from 3 pregnancies. What he did I truly believe to be close to miraculous. Amazing result. Natural, scars that you can barely find and 4 years later they are still perfect! I'd recommend him highly!
