My experience so far is he is very responsive to needs. He communicates often and even indicated when he is available or not.

It a horrible doctor he told me that i had prostatitis for 3 years and he kept tell me it was cronic but in reality it was prostate cancer,and he said i am very sorry i could of sworn it was prostatitiscause your psa levels were low and your and your prostate was not inlarged wit that said after 3 years he did take tissues samples of my prostate and it was cancer at gleason 8 which is very high i ask my surgon what would you do he said after a month if not better then he wouold of took a biopsy he waited 3 years to do it trust me he is a horrible doctor and should have his revokled.

He looked at my husband's history and let us know the next steps. What I liked is he wasn't abrupt and didn't make you feel like you were just a number. We only saw him once so far, so we will know more when we see him again.

Had excellent experience at Dr. Steven J. Hirshberg appointment. Staff was nice and professional. Very satisfied with Dr's exam, treatment and recommendations.

Dr. Steven Hirshburg. MD This guy is a great guy and great Doctor. He is professional as well as personal he cares about your health and your concerns and I really appreciate that you can tell when someone really does care and I thank you for that doctor. I highly recommend him. JOSEPH BAEHR

Besides the long wait, which seems to be the case with every specialist because they double or triple book I thought the doctor was very professional, and very thorough. He answered all my questions and did a follow up appointment for four months as well as prescribed a medication to help with my situation. I do appreciate his time though it did take a couple months I do understand that I’d like to thank him again for his time and I do look forward to working with his office in the future.

Dr.Hirschberg is the best.

The best urologist, I highly recommend him and the practice, very knowledgeable and will listen to you as a patient

Very professional environment. Felt at ease and got answers to all of my questions and alternative paths. Answers were effectively communicated in lay man's terms.

Dr. Hirshberg is very professional, very informative, detailed and explains everything. Had a Urolift and it was very successful. Have a follow up once a year! Great Doctor!

Dr. Hirshberg is an impressive provider. He is very thorough with his diagnostic questioning. He is definitely somebody I would tell a friend to go to. I have been with him for over 15 years. I am very confident with this doctor.

Scheduled an appointment 4 months in advance, he cancels a week before. They can’t even reschedule me. They kick me back to the patient portal where the next appointment is 3 months out. Unprofessional, lazy.

Very disappointed of the front desk lady, not helpful at all. I’ve call in to get a test results to be mailed to me more then a month ago since the last time I call and were told that I will receiving it by mailed within a week or two, but never receive anything until now. I have been trying to reach the office for three days. Each time on hold for more than a 1/2 an hour. What do they think this says about their physicians and overall customer service?

Preface: I am an RN with 38 years experience, 22 years as a nurse practitioner including 6 years in the perioperative area. Despite all this experience, I had never worked with Dr. Hirshberg and this review is based on my experience as a family member. Review: During a recent family emergency, I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Hirshberg on an urgent basis as he provided urologic care to a member of my family and I found that he: 1. Communicated well and explained benefits, risks, and future concerns/treatments clearly yet succinctly. 2. Tended to be appropriately conservative. 3. Is patient. Even though I am an experienced nurse and nurse practitioner, it was still emotional to have a loved one in need of emergent care. Dr Hirschberg carefully and patiently re- explained things so that I felt comfortable with his plan. I would not hesitate to go to Dr. Hirshberg for a urologic medical concern and would return to him we're it not for insurance. This is the worst office I have ever dealt with. You are put on hold for at least a half hour, the office staff is rude and I’m starting to wonder about the physicians in this office. My husband has been dealing with a kidney stone for a few months now. Every time we go in for a procedure, they miraculously can’t see the stone. We’ve had numerous xrays and when we call the office the something for the pain, nothing is done about it. I worked for a surgeon for many years and if I ever treated my patients the way we’ve been treated by this office, I would have been fired long ago. Totally disgusted! Blindsided by a diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer, at first I thought Dr. H was a know-it-all and pretty cold. But the more he came around to see me in the hospital, I began to realize that he was very competent and a good guy. These docs are busy and don't have time for small talk. He and Dr. Schacter were very straight with me. They have taken care of a lot of little details and laid out a plan of treatment that makes sense. I am a medical journalist (ophthalmology) so I do my own research

I've gone to 3 other Urologists over the last 15 years and Dr. Hirshberg is the best by far. His staff is outstanding as well.

Strike one - an invoice mailed to my house with the wrong name on it. This caused someone else in the house to open my letter which listed procedures. HIPAA failure, privacy violated. Strike two - a lab prescription had my wrong information on it. Caused delay of 45 minutes. Strike three - another issue I don’t want to detail. Hirshberg himself was very helpful. We cannot thank enough and be grateful enough for the care and professionalism, bedside manner and overall treatment excellence of Dr. Hirshberg. A critical diagnosis with a very large ureteral stone was treated with the most possible urgency and professionalism. The visit, surgery and after care were scheduled as soon as possible and the actual results were very satisfactory. Dr was also mindful of our vacation plans and very understanding.
