Dr. Steven Mayhew Mansfield

Dr. Mansfield removed a few of my upper teeth and made a set of expensive upper dentures for me. During my first visit- assessment visit, while discussing dentures for me, Dr. Mansfield promised that my dentures would be as close to my natural teeth as possible. I even brought in earlier pictures that showed my teeth and my smile clearly. I had large beautiful white teeth and never needed braces. My natural teeth fit my face. My teeth were actually something I was complimented for most of my life. How pretty they were and how white they were. My next visit Dr. Mansfield had a partial type frontal denture for me with teeth sized and colored to what he supposedly thought were likened to my natural teeth....RED ALERT Oh my what a nightmare, what a joke. The teeth were small in fact much smaller than mine. They looked like an older child's size teeth or teeth for a person with small features and with a mouth that didn't open very much when they spoke or smiled. These teeth on me when opening my mouth and smiling or speaking , screamed out- something is missing, a lot is missing. There was a big black gapping empty space between the bottom of the upper teeth and the top of my lower teeth or top of my lower lip. I was horrified and said to him, These teeth are way too small they aren't even close to the size of my natural teeth. I think they look great he said. I replied that no they didn't and they were way too short and r too small. He said I can drop the denture lower so the teeth seem longer. I disagreed. He was going to make sure the finished dentures would be to my liking and look beautiful. Well this is a long story so I will get to the point. The dentures looked better than no teeth. They were a derogatory feature to my whole face and personality. They upper bottom of the denture had chunks of what looked like pieces of false teeth sticking out of the denture. He said a reline in 6 months would make it all better. The truth is the bottom of the dentures should of been smooth without lumpy white things stocking out and the dentures were of bad quality and changed my face & natural facial expressions because they were made very badly and un professionally. I paid close to $5,0000 or maybe a bit more. I no longer have the finances to to pay for dentures. I've been stuck with these homely, missfitted and painful dentures. They have deformed my facial muscles because of muscles working trying to hold the dentures in an even workable and comfortable position. Shame on you Dr. Mansfield those teeth were obviously rejects from someone else and what poor overall workmanship and craftsman ship especially from a supposed professional. You professionally have made my life more miserable and uncomfortable, & painful. You also negated some positive and natural features and characteristics from my face, my mouth, from who I really am.
