Dr. Steven Richard Papp

Dr. Papp is a lair and manipulator. I went to see Dr. Papp for a prescription to get blood work to check my PSA and he decided he wanted to give me a rectal exam. I have had rectal exams before, but this one was different. It was so different that when I got home the first out of my mouth to my wife was ?Honey, that was not a normal rectal exam. That was different.? Also, after Dr. Papp finished he said ?Now if you PSA level goes up make sure you call the office and we can discuss what your options are.? My PSA went to 6.51after that (it was 4.62 a few months before) He did that on purpose so he could make money by giving me a biopsy. Never get a rectal exam before giving blood for a PSA test. Dr. Papp is a bad person and doctor. I would not recommend him for anything! I don't trust Dr. Papp

Dr. Papp does not return calls as promised on test results. so after two months we still don't know what is going on. he ran unnecesary expensive procedures, ignored the initial reason for appointment. the office is dirty, staff so disrespectful and unprofessional, screwed around with personal medical records, now they are refusing to hand over medical records needed to a real doctor.

Short wait time, I was in and out in less than an hour. Everyone was extremely professional.

Our mom lives in a nursing home in the area and has had several UTI's the last landing her in the hospital. Dr. there and nurse supervisor at nursing home recommended mom see a urologist. They picked this Dr. & it took 2 months to get an appt. Dr. Papp did not touch mom at her appt nor ran any tests. Made a diagnosis based on 2 month ago hospital paperwork ! BEWARE 4 staff members had no mask on or it hanging off. 1 walked right next to me with no mask to get a candy out of a community jar at check in. A (nurse or nurses assistant had no mask on in the back. The receptionist kept hanging hers off her ear then tried handing me my stuff back with it hanging. The kicker the doctors mask was hanging on his chin. The ignorance & arrogance of a medical professional to act so reckless. No cleaning took place between patients no social distancing was being used at all. This reckless practice is acting like we are not in a Pandemic and putting lives at risk. I wish I had good things to say about Dr. Papp, but alas, I do not. I waited a month or two for my appointment, but when I got there, he didn't conduct any examinations that my regular physicians hadn't. He had me urinate in a cup (did that at my doctor's) and then sent a nurse in to scan my bladder (also conducted at my doctor's office). He conducted no additional imaging; he didn't even give me a physical examination. When he presented me with the vague diagnosis of "bladder spasms," he just gave me some antispasmodics and sent me on my way. It's kind that he provided me with free samples of the medication he recommended, but because of the cursory way I was examined and diagnosed, I want a second opinion on my diagnosis and treatment options. Dr.Papp and his staff were very professional and made me feel totally comfortable. Dr. Papp, while taking care of an immediate issue with kidney stones, discovered a small cancerous growth which he removed. This was a most marvelous situation and remedy. Thank you doctor for your vigilance.

Would never recommend Dr Papp. No bed side manner. Too arrogant and abrupt.

The worst urologist I’ve ever been to, don’t come to this guy, had an attitude and just threw antibiotics at me, he acted like he couldn’t bother with my questions, if you’re experiencing pelvic pain go get physical therapy vs coming here

Dr was condescending. I have been trying for 2 weeks to schedule another surgery. Everytime I call the staff asks to call me back then doesn't. Edit: finally got in for surgery and he has refused to write even non narcotic scripts for pain. (Kidney stones). I am done with this dr.

Top shelf staff and Dr Papp has been and excellent doctor.

I like Dr. Papp. He has short wait times and does not bs. He get right to the point and makes sure you understand what is going on.

I said I wasn't in pain at the time of visit. I started passing what turned out to be 2 kidney stones at one time. I called to ask for pain medication. They said I had to go to emergency room to prove I had kidney stones. I don't have insurance, so I was left in horrible pain for 5 days while the stones passed. Not happy at all.

Their office staff is a joke. I booked an appointment 4 weeks out as they're backed up. After giving my insurance information, the lady proceeds to tell me I will need a referral to see the doctor. I inform her my insurance doesn't require that, plus Dr. Papp is in my network. Again, she tells me otherwise. No big deal, I'll just show up and they can sort it out then. Here's why I'm extremely upset. I was on the road when booking the appointment. I asked if they offered text reminders, since it was a month out. I was told they would call me a day prior to my appointment. Guess what? They didn't. I called today to see when my appointment was and I was informed it was last week. I am seeing him for kidney stones and my bladder condition. I love his staff and he is great. The wait is not that bad.

This was my 2nd Surgery with Dr Papp. I feel he explained everything properly to both my wife and myself. Though he has days scheduled for Surgery, he expressed if I needed anything, his Office was open if needed and don't hesitate to call or stop in. All the Ladies in the Office are very polite and east to talk to..

Doesn't listen. Comes across cocky. I should of listened to my gut and not used him.

I have recommended Dr. Papp to my family and they are happy with him also. He does answer our questions and explains what the problem is or procedure will be. He is a good Dr.!

I feel that Dr. Papp is not a very good listener when it comes to your symptoms or anything regarding your procedure. He comes off as a know it all and has no bed side manner. Highly disappointed.?? I will never consult with him again and please at all cost avoid Beaumont Hospital. Very unprofessional and leaves loved ones in the dark for hours. Im surprised their still around. Again I stress Dr. Papp is not professional. Guess what Doc! I can feel and know whats going on. Remember that!
