Went in for one extraction! He was horrific he moved 3 other teeth while extraction of one tooth! Extremely painful!

Love them until they tried to charge me for everything supposedly the insurance was going to pay Delta dental and then they got audited and then tried to get me to pay all of it back,

I had an extraction and an implant. Both times much less difficult than I imagined--I felt so well after 24 hours that I no longer feel justified in devouring ice cream and pudding to my heart's content :). But seriously--the care seems individualized--detail oriented--efficient--confident--modern--and caring. Hard to blend all those good things together but that is my experience. So definitely recommend. Edit: I had a wonderful experience. Was supposed to have a final photography check but when not confirmed appointment and I called--Dr. Moreland retired! New doc in place. Now everyone has the right to retire. Also sometimes people become unwell. But this was a control shift to a new doctor WITHOUT NOTIFYING EXISTING PATIENTS. How I know it was controlled--new doctor in place and for one month there was a two doctor transition. It takes a few months to credential the new doc so the plan had to be in the works. Even if there was an exigency to force the retirement--the new doctor did not have the courtesy of notifying existing patients and let me know my appointment was no longer valid--so had I not heard from my dentist that he had retired (and then called)--I would have shown up to nothing. So whoever took over the practice is by definition RUDE and INCONSIDERATE. Dude, I am a doctor too and life has resulted in some transitions but I have never nor would I ever not notify patients. Even when my father unexpectedly passed away with an active practice--as his son (not in the same state and not in the practice), I made sure arrangements for care transition where effected in less than one week and a letter was sent to all existing patients. I’m 93 and on Monday morning, Dec. 11, 2021, I had three very bad fractured teeth surgically extracted by Dr. Stewart Moreland. The surgery went smoothly and I was surprised that I never had any pain either during the extraction or any time after. Nine days after the extractions I had a problem caused by my blood thinner which Dr. Moreland immediately cured. Dr. Moreland’s experienced and competent assistants, Tara and Madison, took a personal interest in my condition. After I went home on the day of surgery, Tara, who was with Dr. Moreland during the extractions, was in continuous contact with me monitoring my condition. They were in contact with me daily. Everyone in Dr. Moreland’s office is professional, experienced, competent, friendly and have that personal touch. Dr. Moreland is definitely the doctor to go to for any type of oral surgery. Phoned to coordinate my initial exam/info appt. as i will be coming from oot. Lady answered phone was rude condescending and refused to schedule an appt. i was asking about coordinating etc. she stated exactly that she couldn’t guarantee me a time and I would have to wait till they felt like seeing me. I stated if I schedule a time i will be there at that time. She kept making excuse after excuse. Very simple. Tried to get an idea of cash cost for and process for appt. Have all info that needed to be coordinated ahead of time. Apparently they don’t like the organized patient. Asked to speak to office manager she stated i am the office manager. Whatever. If this is the face of the office, beware. Oh and don’t ask questions, it’s offensive. When that happens their is a problem somewhere. All i was trying to do was coordinate my first office visit and get paperwork there for my future dental work. Apparently that is a problem. There were so many things about this office that my 18 yo son and I didn't like or just rubbed us the wrong way. However, I feel like this really needs to be mentioned: the doctor examined my son's mouth WITHOUT GLOVES ON!! What healthcare professional does that in 2021? note: they also made us sign a waiver before the consultation that if the staff contracts covid, we are liable, which was very unsettling right from the start. Highly recommended! Staff and Dr. Moreland were very accommodating. Especially, for a last minute consultation. Very detailed. They took time to explain ever and alleviate any anxiety. Staff very courteous.

Who would have thought fishing out impacted canines could go so smoothly? Dr. Moreland must be the best surgeon in St. Louis. The staff was extremely friendly as well. Awesome experience!

I would like to start off by saying I am terrified of the dentist. I had a broken off crown with a tooth at the gum line. I went to Dr. Moreland 4/20/21. I walked into the office a terrible reck! His staff was so kind. They took me in gave me a warm blanket and said we will take good care of you. The doctor came in and took a good amount of time explaining to me what would be happing and that it would be okay. I was given laughing gas for a few min then the shots very quick. I was very relaxed the tooth was out in 5 min. I then was able to relax with oxygen. I went home took my medication rested. By morning I was completely fine and back at work. Dr. Moreland did an excellent job with wisdom teeth extraction for my 16 year old son. He was awake for the procedure and he was really amazing. We highly recommend Dr. Moreland!

I cannot rave enough about Dr. moreland and his amazing staff. I have had extractions before but I have never been treated with such professionalism. Dr. Moreland was extremely thorough and spent time with me during our first meeting. When I arrived for my procedure; I was a nervous wreck. The staff was awesome, explained everything to me and re-assured me. I had oxygen placed, leads on my chest and an IV inserted. I was treated well and went home where my meds were waiting for me. Two weeks ago today, I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Moreland and the staff; at first, I had mixed feelings, I was somewhat nervous and somewhat at peace, Dr. Moreland was very kind and calming and the rest of the staff were all very nice, it made me feel very safe! I don't remember any of the procedure, or watching any of them work on me, I didn't feel a thing being under general anesthesia; I was in the chair being hooked up and then before I knew it, I was done! They let me know everything of what to do during my recovery; the process of recovery may not be pleasant but doing the steps they tell you allows you to be healed faster; I would highly recommend Dr. Moreland and staff if you are looking for any oral surgeon/teeth extractions. Dr. Moreland is very professional with a pleasant personality. I have seen Dr. Moreland twice for two separate implant procedures. When my regular dentist Informed me that a second implant was needed there was no question that Dr. Moreland was my choice because of the trust gained from my past experience with him. The staff that Dr. Moreland has assembled was helpful from scheduling, assisting in the surgery to post operation follow up appointments. I never had such an awesome experience going to a dental office before. Dr. Moreland and his staff are simply the best around Saint Louis! From the first phone call to the oral surgery I just had this morning was all around a positive and mostly pain free experience. My son recently had his wisdom teeth removed at Dr. Moreland's office. The scheduling experience was easy and efficient. During the pre- surgery consultation, the surgery day itself and on the follow up day everything was paced effectively. No time was wasted and we never felt rushed in the process. My son had his wisdom teeth extracted. The appointment ran smoothly, and everyone at the office was very compassionate and concerned with my son’s comfort. My other son is having the same procedure this summer and Dr. Moreland will be the oral surgeon performing the procedure. This practice is excellent!

Staff was rude. Surgery was very rough. Healing process was more painful than when I had an impacted tooth removed.

We were referred to Dr. Moreland by our sons pediatric dentist to have a simple procedure done. Our son is eight and is autistic. During the scheduling and intake process, I was sure to make my sons disability and anxiousness about dental visits clear to the staff. They assured me it wouldn’t be a problem. Upon arrival at their office, our son got anxious and vomited, something that is not uncommon for him. Without even being seen by the dentist, we were promptly told that our son was “too disabled” to be treated in their office. They based this conclusion off of the thirty seconds they observed him in their waiting room. They were extremely judgmental, rude, and unhelpful. My husband and I completely understand that some practices and some people aren’t well equipped to handle the small amount of extra care and compassion our son needs, but to have this conclusion made by office staff after observing our anxious son for less than a minute seems very discriminatory. Widsom teeth extraction is never a " fun" experience but I would say Dr. Moreland makes it the best possible experience. I had all four of mine extracted. I went completely under during the extraction and thats THE WAY to go. I woke up and I was done. I have been sore and eating food has been difficult but thats just nature of the surgery. I have 2 experiences with Dr Moreland and his wonderful staff that have played key roles in my regaining my health.. I will start by saying that I am a Dental Hygienist from Michigan. I have made the trip twice to receive care from Dr. Moreland because I have that much faith in his abilities. Being a dental professional myself, I couldn't have hand picked a more compassionate, knowledgeable and highly skilled surgeon and staff. From the front desk to the operatory, the entire staff treated me with great kindness and answered every question I could think of...patiently! When I first saw Dr Moreland for surgery in 2015, I was dying. I had been tested through traditional western medicine for everything under the sun. The final tests through traditional medicine were for ALS and a rare form of cancer. I was experiencing severe neurologic issues among other failing health issues.I had chronic pain and absolutely zero energy. I finally came to St. Louis to see Dr Simon Yu, whose treatment and evaluations led him to send me to Dr Moreland. Dr Moreland tested and confirmed that there was something going on in my jawbone.He performed surgery on both sides of my lower jaw in my wisdom tooth areas. He found dead bone in one area and partially dead bone on the other side of my jaw. I was referred to Dr Moreland after another Dr found an infection in my jaw. I was unwell for 10+ years and treating Lyme Disease. Dr Moreland was professional, kind, and caring the entire time I was in his care. I had surgery in December 2019 and now just over 2 month later, I have my life back. The extreme fatigue, pain, and low grade fevers that kept me down is gone. I went from barely surviving to thriving. I can't believe how much better I feel and how I'm able to work again after years of being sick and often bedridden. my visit to the office was by far the worst experience i have had in a while. Dr. Moreland lacks any ounce of bedside manners. he immediately exhibits his arrogance and is judgemental. he is lacking sympathy and to say he is rough around the edges is an understatement. his comments were insensitive and some even insulting, and after only examining me for 3 minutes tops, he said he couldn't do anything for me, and to go with a periodontist my dentist initially referred me to. he didn't have the decency to give me an additional referral, yet still happily took my $105. this practice is unethical and based on my experience I'm confident to say that i was robbed the $105. probably time to retire. i will be sure to spread the word like wildfire. preventing even one person from going to him will be well worth the $105 i spent. my visit to the office was by far the worst experience i have had in a while. Dr. Moreland and his staff are THE best! We would highly recommend this office for oral surgery. Our family is in the medical profession and so we notice even the little things. Like most people, I dread going to the dentist and dread even more, an oral surgeon! However, my experience with Dr. Mooreland changed my feelings on the subject Dr. Mooreland and all the staff did a fantastic job of easing my anxieties and making me comfortable. Dr. Mooreland does exceptionally great oral surgery. I have had 4 extractions by him and all have gone very smoothly and without complications. He is truly kind and concerned and his "chairside" manner reflects this in all he does. I would highly recommend him for any dental care I would be remiss in writing this review if I didn't mention Tina who works at the front desk and was my first contact when I made my appointment. What started out as an anxious, reluctant phone call, turned into feeling like I was talking to my best friend. Her humor is contagious and by the end of our conversation, my anxieties had turned into belly laughs!! I can't imagine a staff or oral surgeon better than Dr. Mooreland's. I could not be happier with our oral surgeon, Dr. Stewart Moreland. From the moment my daughter and I meet him we were extremely excited that he was going to be her Dr. that removed her wisdom teeth. He took all the time we needed to answer any questions we had and to explain EVER DETAIL of her procedure. I have a young daughter who has required tooth extractions on 2 separate occasions. Many times she gets very nervous and upset about medical procedures. For her first extraction, she was only 8. The staff was so calm and kind, that she stayed calm as well. Three years down the road, when she needed 5 teeth (4 permanent) pulled, she was not upset or nervous because the first time had gone smoothly. This most recent experience was even better. You won't find a better dentist. Diagnosed my osteomylelitis, finally!

I went to see Dr. Moreland for a second opinion and it was one of the best health decisions I have ever made. Before seeing Dr Moreland I was hospitalized for four days for a swollen left jaw which turned out to be an abcess on my parotid (aka salivary) gland. While in the hospital I was given very strong antibiotics to try and correct the issue. The ENT doctor I saw in the hospital recommended I take antibiotics (Augmentin) to correct the issue after being discharged from the hospital. I had a follow up with the ENT about a week after being discharged from the hospital and had no improvement but was instructed to continue taking the antibiotics. I took the antibiotics for three weeks after being discharged with no improvement and decided to get a second opinion. One of my relatives recommended Dr Moreland so I called their office on a Monday morning and they got me in that afternoon for a consultation. They were very professional and showed honest concern for my health issue. They explained their diagnosis in terms I could understand. They knew I was in serious pain and scheduled a procedure to correct the issue the following morning. Before the procedure they met with me and my wife and asked that I explain the procedure to my wife and added to my explanation so that everyone was on the same page. The procedure went well and even though I had pain from the procedure I felt that I finally received the proper treatment for my illness. They also asked that I come back each day that week so that they could evaluate the healing process. On each visit to their office I was greeted with a smile and felt that they cared about how I was doing. I would recommend Dr Moreland and his staff to anyone. I have had two teeth pulled by Dr. Moreland. With the first one I was in extreme pain and the staff was extremely accommodating to make me painless as soon as possible. Within minutes of my arrival my mouth was numb. The second was not an emergency but they were extremely efficient and helpful. Their first concern is for you to be pain free and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Moreland and his delightful staff. I have had two teeth pulled by Dr. Moreland. I went to see Dr. Moreland for a second opinion and it was one of the best health decisions I have ever made. Before seeing Dr Moreland I was hospitalized for 4 days for a swollen parotid gland. After weeks of no improvement on antibiotics a relative recommended Dr Moreland. They were very professional and showed honest concern for my health. They explained their diagnosis in terms I could understand. On arrival I was always greeted with a smile. I would recommend Dr Moreland to anyone.

I highly recommend Dr. Moreland for anyone needing oral surgery! He and his staff are professionals who are friendly, educational, efficient, and helpful in all ways. I was totally impressed with my recent extractions [wisdom teeth] and rapid recovery. The anticipation was much worse than the actual experience!
