Dr. Strutha Charles Rouse II

My son was referred to Dr Rouse for an initial visit and on the FIRST visit, Dr Rouse told my young adult son that he has tears in both eyes but was worse in one and that he needed a laser procedure to repair them. He scheduled my son a follow up appointment to check the progres from the procedure and to do the right eye. Since that procedure my son’s left eye is getting progressively worse! He’s a young adult and should not have these major eye issues! On the follow up appointment, my son was told the left eye looks ok and there’s nothing to do about the floaters and pushed to di the right eye which my son refused. I am not happy with Dr Rouse!!!! My son may have eye issues for the rest of his life now! Going to another retina specialist to see how much damage he has.

Was there about potential retinal damage. Very rude from the get go. Very dismissive, refused to stop when I was in severe pain. Yelled when he was upset. Absolutely do not recommend this man to anyone.

Dr. Rouse came off as none compassionate. My mother had a visit with him today. As a first time patient, he spoke with her with a loud controlling voice. I almost gave him some choice words that would have been unpleasant to hear. My mother will not be visiting this doctor again. I thought it would be a pleasure to have a new doctor that could help with the current eye problems, but Oh! Boy was I wrong. Someone needs to hit him with some Love and compassion treatments. Not satisfied. I would not recommend this one to anyone. Lord have mercy. A 1 star only because I had to do so…he deserves none. So minus 1 star and give him a zero.

He had no compassion, and starting shouting. His assistant dropped my eyeglasses on the floor.

I saw Dr. Rouse and I really had a great experience. Dr.Rouse explained everything to me and made me feel very comfortable, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him and I will be back to him for sure! Also the staff were extremely nice and helpful as well! Thanks Dr.Rouse and team!

Thank you, Dr. Rouse for your quick diagnosis of retinal detachment and immediate surgery! I am optimistic that I will recover vision; I can already see lights and letters! Your staff was fantastic, too. If you have serious eye issues, don't hesitate to get in touch with Dr. Rouse. God bless!

He is as warm, caring and compassionate as a stone wall. His exam was harsh along with his tone of voice. I will never set foot in his office again. Giving him 1 star is more than he deserves.

Excellent in what he does, straight to the point and accurate...

Dr Rouse is fabulous. He gives shots into the eye that are done so quick and very caring. He does it gently as to keep you from getting scared, which it can be. He is a fabulous Dr. and has several specialties. Very educated. Great Dr. Don't look at the one review, that person must be a crackpot. Dr Rouse is wonderful!!

I’ve seen Dr Rouse for multiple eye problems including a detached retina. I always feel that he is very smart, up to date with eye care practice procedures, and I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Rouse saved my eyesight when a histoplasmosis spot on my retina started bleeding. He has taken wonderful care of my eyes in the 10 years since then. He's honest and answers all my questions. He doesn't sit and hold your hand - he has too many people to see but he's always there when I need him. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Dr. Rouse has been treating my 87 year old mother-in-law with macular degeneration for 2 years and I have been very pleased with his care. I definitely would not recommend this man to anyone. Your eye sight is so important. I do not call someone like him a doctor. I call this person a maniac nut, posing as a doctor. He will injure first time patients who have no idea he is crazy. He has a great profile online, but if you go there, you might be terrorized and injured. He shined the bright light into one of my eyes for 30 minutes and blinded me. I have had eye pain since I saw him, which I did not have before I went there.

I give him one star because at least one star is required to do the rate. This person is SO HORRIBLE, I cannot express it. He is what I call an INSANE COWARD, - traumatizing old or female patients in the name of an exam. He will actually harm your eyes, shinning the bright light for long periods of time, knowing that it is going to blind you. He will poke your eyeballs for the the pleasure he gets from traumatizing the patient. I would advise anyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. He is THE ABSOLUTE WORSE . I guarantee you he won't mess with any men, unless it would be an old man about 75-80, because knows he will get hurt instead of him hurting the patients. I absolutely hate people like him, posing as a health care provider when he is actually going to harm you, intentionally. He will do this to a new patient, that does not know what kind of person he is until the exam starts. Usually this will be the first time you experienced this and it will be unexpected, so JUST DON'T GO TO HIM. I found Dr Rouse to be very patient, very concerned and very thorough. He explained the condition I was experiencing to my satisfaction and gave me a plan to go forward. The support staff were extremely friendly and professional and the tests they administered seemed tailored to the condition.

He saw my mom for a ripped retina and was treated poorly. He was rushing and frustrated coz he has an appointment for his son. She treated my mom like a little child and put her in a more stressful situation when she's already stressed before she even got there due to her eye problem. Dr. Rouse even scared my mom with a remark "do you Wana to lose your sight?". So the experience of my mom with him was very poor and shows that the doctor has no genuine care for his patients.
