Dr. Stuart Wachter

Dr. Wachter has a friendly and kind personality, but is not a therapist. He is a pharmacologist, and goes by the Diagnostic Manual to find a diagnotic label and then medicates the symptons of distress. If you need anti anxiety, anti depression and mood regulating pills he is the right person to see. But make sure you see a trauma therapist besides him who can help yo determine of you really need meds for the rest of your life, or if therapy would eventually reduce or eliminate such dependency on drugs. He has a pleasing style once you are with him, but has a habit of being very late ( 30 minutes. is not unusual) for appointments. i was his patiney for 20 years after major trauma and chose to get different treatment later elsewhere thag was empoweribg, not disempowering ad making m dependent on a therapisy for years. I am a Certfied Life Coach now and free of any medications.

Dr Wachter is kind, compassionate. and knowledgeable. He is a an active listener, and remembers what I say and what concerns me most. I have a deeper understanding of myself and my relationships thanks to him. He had made my life better.
