Susan A Staub

Susan Staub has been my families counselor for 10 years. She is absolutely the best! Unfortunately my family has had many tradgedies including our youngest daughter being very ill and disabled ever since she got her Masters Degree at The Citadel." Susan has helped my husband and I and all of our family learn how to cope in healthy ways to the stresses that have been unavoidable. She is so very compassionate and understanding. She is also very professional and an excellent provider. She truly understands and knows how to get to the root of the problem and offers the best advice on how to handle our lifes problems. I would highly recommend her to anyone with any psychological, and emotional problems. She will go the distance with you, but will also not hesitate to refer you to someone else if she thinks that is in your best interest.

I can't say enough about Susan! My husband and I came to her in a really bad place. I honestly didn't know if things could be fixed, 20 years of a relationship had just beaten us down. Susan was insightful, caring, and honest. She made both my husband and I feel heard and supported. My husband was very reluctant to go to therapy. so this was a big deal! She has a way of really having you look at yourself and your marriage. She made us do the hard work, while always respectfully guiding us and encouraging us. It was not easy at times, but we pulled through, and I can honestly say we are better now than we ever were. She also always went above and beyond! My husband had some medical things he's been dealing with for years, and Susan made a point to have lunch with a colleague of hers to get his advice and to get a recommendation for a doctor for him. This is just one example of her going out of her way. I HIGHLY recommend her! I have since referred many friends and family to her, and

Insisted on marital counseling when I went for individual therapy. Missed signs of abuse. Was judgemental towards me while not understanding the details of the situation. I question her listening skills and empathy. Would not recommend for couples therapy or individual. Seems to have her own agenda. I also know of two other people who feel she did not respect their boundaries and was unpredictable.

Professional, got to the root of the problem, was responsive to our concerns.

Not a good experience. We were told to meet together and them each of us individually, then a plan would come from these 3 meetings. Husband went first after joint meeting. Wife's meeting was awful. Just about his concerns and not about my concerns. I did not go back.
