Tammy is an excellent counselor. I highly recommend her, and have and will continue to refer others. Sometimes you need a fresh perspective on the things life throws at you. Tammy listens, works with you on realistic goals, and yes is not afraid to tell it like it is sometimes when necessary. That is what should be expected of a good, unbiased counselor. I never post but, she gives your partner a set of rules and says if the other can’t live by them, to divorce. I should have noticed she has war in her name. Big clue and I missed it.

I have seen several counselors and have never found one that I really "connected" with until I started seeing Tammy. She came in to my life as a marriage counselor and has ended up taking on me as an individual as I deal with other life struggles. I had filed for divorce prior to seeing her, and she spent the next year working closely with me and my husband as we tried to make our marriage work. DIVORCE was NEVER presented as an option by her. She encouraged us to be more open with one another, to explain our needs, to listen with intent... and to PRAY together. She helped us make a tremendous amount of progress that we never could have accomplished on our own. When I transitioned from "couples" counseling to "individual" sessions, her tactics never changed. She has a strong faith and encourages it (without pushing) within her patients. Many of our sessions included using scripture to help ease my periods of angst. Over the past year and a half of seeing her, I have made more progress in my life, faith, and family than I ever knew to be possible. She's honest, and never just tells you want you want to hear. She uses science and scripture just the same to help her patients. I would not be where I am without her today. She has been truly a GOD sent!
