Terrible customer service, prescription needed to be redone by the professionals at Ketchum and filled by Laguna Eye Care who were fabulous.

Took my siblings there but she doesn't do enough tests. So the eye prescription is incorrect. And the focal point on the lens was also way off (this gets my sister dizzy).

Dr. Barnes is thorough, personable and my eyeglass prescriptions have always been accurate. I highly recommend this office.

My 98 year old dad loves Dr. Barnes, so much so that despite moving 1-1/2 hours north he made a special request to me to drive him there. He has been seen there over many years.

Without a doubt this was the biggest waste of time I've ever had in a medical office. Besides having to repeat almost every question and answer I gave them, The "staff" (all trainees who didn't know anything) gave me half of my exam and needed help the entire time, and I constantly had to correct their information. Then my insurance was messed up (this part obviously not their fault) but I wanted this doctor to finish the exam so I could get my contacts, so I put forth the effort for the next hour to get my insurance sorted out so I could pay them. Once I actually got it sorted out, I asked the male staff member how much it would be and he told me $60 for a "contact lens fitting fee", plus my $10 co pay for the initial exam. I thought it was a bit much and asked for clarification as to the breakdown of the costs, and once I understood he left and Dr. Barnes came back in and casually told me the fee was $70, plus a $10 co-pay. I asked her why since her staff told me $60, and she started telling me in an extremely condescending manner that she "told me that initially" (which she didn't, she said without the insurance it would be $75, initially. Regardless who cops an attitude like that when their staff screws up??). Then she "broke it down" for me herself, and somehow it became $80. I was further confused, and somehow when she added the $5 worth of contacts my insurance didn't cover it magically became $90. I kept calm as I could and said I still didn't understand how $70 became $90 with an added $5 for contacts. Then she took me to her back room. She closed the door and began chastising me like a child, saying, "Look, I'm trying to squeeze you in in between my appointments, and if you're going to be rude in front of my other customers like that--" I cut her off there. I had an appointment like everyone else, so she wasn't squeezing me in. At no point did i raise my voice to her or her hairbrained staff (whose mistakes were not my fault), or use adult language. I spent two hours of my day trying to pay this woman and was rightfully confused when the price kept going up. I told her how offended I was that she, after everything i've been through, actually had the gall to take me into her exam room to try and hide me and her ATTITUDE from her customers. i walked back out to the lobby to finish my conversation with her. I refuse to be treated like that. I think everyone should. If she has an issue it's her job to resolve it, not treat she customer involved like a second class citizen.
