I don’t think he really cares about his patients, it’s quickly in and out it’s hard to get an appointment!! He makes you come back to review the blood work so he can get billable time. But if you go into MyChart he just reads off that and doesn’t add more. Also, I got into a very serous accident a few months ago, I know he gets copies of all my records. A good dr would call to see how things are going. Not this dr!!! So frustrated!! Another thing, when I’m out of refills CVS called and send faxes over but they never respond! This place is a joke

Dr. Doherty has been our family physician for twenty years. I've always found him attentive to my concerns and providing excellent care. I've found his office staff to be professional and kind.

Dr Doherty has been my doc for years and I’d love to stay with him. But, he moved his practice joining a larger group practice in Old Lyme. Since then I’ve had several problems with Rx refills, errors with medical records, and communication issues. It’s hard to get a message to him and even harder to get return calls. Dr Doherty is still the same great doc, but the front desk staff (though in-person are all smiles) are unreliable and uncaring — totally unsuitable for a medical practice.

Doctor Doherty has been an amazing family doctor for many years! Unfortunately his front desk staff is rude, unprofessional and not accommodating!

Dr. Doherty is transitioning practices. He left the old one; he does not start the new one for a week. No one is covering his patients in the interim. I called the office I've gone to for the past few years seeking help for a *very* painful condition. I have been left without a means for a referral -- because of this ill-constructed transition and the utter lack of professionalism of the office staff. I have NO MEDICAL CARE because he is unavailable. For $700/mo in insurance, I have no care.

My experience is in reference to the way Dr. Doherty's staff has treated my family in Connecticut. We have known Terry for over three decades. And recently two family members were told that they could not be fit in to Dr. Doherty's schedule. Granted, the conditions were not "life threatening" but they were urgent and needed both medication and a consultation. I'm not sure what has happened to Dr. Doherty's practice but my family is going to another doctor now. Pity.

Low key Doctor who listens to the patient. He has been 100% spot on with any of my medical issues. He does not rush you thru, he takes his time and cares for his patients. One of the best I have ever been to.
