My girlfriend has gone there 2 times now the 1st time she saw the doc and he asked her how did you get an appointment to see us the 2nd time she only saw a nurse and she put her arm up and wave her hand like just get out of here I thought they were there to help people and not just tell them to leave what gives with this doc office he allways in his office talking on the phone and not with his Patient’s

I’m here just to put a bad review

I have personally seen this doctor for kidney stones, 6 surgeries to completely get rid of them successfully. My mother in law recently had an emergency kidney surgery and also had a very successful experience. He is one of the most knowledgeable doctors this valley has. Yes he might come off as rude to some but I assure you he is not. He is very ocd about his patients and the exams and labs he orders for them and that is the attitude of someone you want working with you.

Thier opening times should be updated on thier door changing times with out leting every know is a waste of time for people that work and miss work to get labs before 8 am the door says 7am

I would not recommend him to an enemy. Very rude! He thinks he is above you Holds your meds hostage! Cares more about basketball then his patience. Seems to be there because he HAS to be there... all for the cash. Horrible experience. He's probably in El Centro because he won't cut it in any other big city such as San Diego or Las Vegas. a rude and horrible person. Wouldn’t listen to complaint and kept interrupting while speaking. I wasted 2months taking same medication .when I asked about procedure, he became combative and evasive. Do Not Even consider using this practice.the only reason hes still open is no other uro in I.V. stay away! s

1- He denied receiving my referral approval even after 3 transmissions from my Primary provider. I received the referral in the mail from my insurance before he admitted to getting the referral. 2- Then he insisted he didn't get my records from my PCP 3- When I finally got to see him I told him my catheter was extremely uncomfortable. He said, "That's because you let the ER put in your catheter. They have no business putting in a catheter. You should have gone to a urologist" 4- I asked him to look at it and remove it or fix it but he said he would not without seeing the CT images. 5- He said I was supposed to have asked for the image disc and told me to leave his office, go to the hospital radiology department and bring the disc back to him immediately so he could review it. 6- I went and got the disc but when I returned 50 minutes later, he refused to take the disc and said I would need another referral / approval to review, then another referral and appointment to see me again.

I had heard dr Affue was a bad doctor but still decided to go. He was rude and he didn’t even send my prescription to the pharmacy yet alone, I didn’t know he had prescribed medication until I did my follow-up and he asked me about the medication. I called the pharmacy and they told me there was nothing under my name . I called his office and they blamed it on him saying he never sent it to any pharmacy. Not going back to him.

Very rude!! I don’t live in IV so thank I don’t have to ever have to see him again.

Went to him years ago and it was the most degrading experience in my life. Now I need a procedure for my prostate problem and I called in Imperial valley and no one offers that Procedure, Pionners suggested to call his office but I wouldn't go back to him if it was the only source for my condition.

IF i can write it to zero i would. Horrible experience, Patient and family ask what the name of injection and what is it for, Both MD and staff refused to answer, when family said. I refused to have it injected until you told the name, the family was escorted to waiting area. The patient got injected on an unknown medication, when family ask and demand for explanation, the staff refused to answer- it is the right of a family and patient to know what is the medication being administer to them and what is it for. VERY DISAPPOINTED, never known such a horrible experience- you guys are better off to san diego if he's the only one here. who knows what medication they are administering. This doctor has an awful staff, very un professional. One female nurse practitioner would not even let me speak while on the phone. The doctor is usually in a bad mood; he doesn't even listen to your medical needs when diagnosing your symptoms. Good luck confirming an appointment; the office doesn't even answer the phone. Awesome receptionist and nurses ! My son was nervous about his appointment and they sensed it. Dr. Affue was patient and understanding. They ALL did everything to make him feel comfortable and safe. It is highly appreciated! Thank you so much ????

I have great confidence in Dr Affue. Was nervous about my condition but they walked me right through. Helped me immensely. Not the illness someone ever wants but definately the care that a person would want. Glad he is here.

Such a terrible experience and one of the women I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. The medical care given here is questionable at best. I dont get all the negative feedback about this doctor. My experience with him has been a pleasant one. I found him to be nice, thorough and very detailed about diagnosis and treatments. He really helped getting me healthy again. He listened to what I had to say and was always available to help if something happened. I would recommend this doctor...he knows what he's doing! Horrible wait time. Was there over an hour only to have the Dr. be a complete unprofessional jerk. Horribly rude, doesn’t even let you talk, just cuts you off. No manners. Honestly no clue why he’s a doctor because he’s clearly not fit for the job. Only good thing was there were a few people working there that were nice but other than that would never refer anyone to him. Save yourself time and money and see a different doctor. Did 2 vasectomies on my husband then we had our 4 child. Has no idea what he is doing . Stay far away!!!

The medical assistant was by far the rudest I have ever experienced. This place does not care about their patients whatsoever. The assistant who helped us was Adriana and she was short in speach, unkind, disregarded what we said, spoke over us and was generally rude. I am shocked by how she treated us. Thanks to Dr Affue I lost my kidney 6/19/17, at my young age of 43. I had been seeing him for 5+ years for painful chronic kidney infections and he never did anything to resolve the issue. All he did was prescribe antibiotics, pain killers and periodically place a stent. I would cry help to him and his response "is crying going to resolve anything". I would ask why the reoccurring infections with/without stent, "my ureter was too thin". Not a doctor at all, he's just there to collect the insurance money. I finally decided to go to San Diego and within days they figured out the problem and solution to my chronic kidney infections, unfortunately my kidney was severely damaged, with a 7.6% functionality due to all the kidney infections, it had to be removed. ZERO stars if i could very bad service awful wait times. 6 people that just got here went in before i did. I've been waiting for 2hrs. This is my second and last time I come here. The first time same thing happend and doc. Affu gave me some pills and sent me on my way out. Well that didn't work. I'm back again with the same problem to see what he guesses to give me this time. He does not care about patients. He literally asked me what I wanted to prescribe myself and what I think we should do about the problem. Staff is unprofessional no privacy when talking to Affu. Last time i come here dont recomend it. Seeking urologist who accepts my insurance In El Centro. Dr Affue and staff treated me well. Dr affue is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. Honestly, what a wonderful thing to have a doctor who actually cares about my well-being, and takes the time to explain his thinking

Thanks to Dr. Affue I lost my kidney. I have been going for 5+ years with painful chronic kidney infections and my issue was never resolved. All that he did was prescribe antibiotics, pain killers and periodically place a stent, without ever resolving the issue. I would cry to him why, why, why.....he would just answer my "ureter is too thin and by you crying is not going to resolve anything". All he is there for is to make money off his patients by keeping them sick. Thanks again Dr Affue.

The problem with this Dr. is that he is the only urologist in imperial Valley. I have nothing good to say about him , he is only nice before surgery; he lied to us. His team is rude, and very insensitive. He is very good to collect money from medical insurances, but he is not really professional.

Dr.Affue is great had an emergency he was called in did surgery and done, post op examination he was easy to talk with and answered all my questions.

This is the worst office i have ever gone to. The office girls are to lazy to do any thing. I need a preserscription and cant get those girls to get it. I am now out. I am going to another Dr.

He was great with my surgery. Easy to talk to and made everything easier for me.

Not a good doctor

Rude and inconsiderate are is his best attributes! He does not care about his patients and would never make in a big city. thats why he is in the valley.

This man is rude and disrespectful to anyone he comes into contact with.....his patients ...his staff....what a horrible human being. Medical care was mediocore...go somewhere else if at all possible,,,,San Diego. It's worth the drive...
