When I finally decided I had to see a specialist about my knee, I didn't even think about going to any other Dr. Dr Crofford replaced both of my husband's knees a couple years ago and he has worked on MANY of our church members and other friends also. Dr Crofford is not only an excellent physician but also a Christian and very caring man. Dr Crofford Is THE BEST!

He listened& was very encouraging. I am looking forward to to the plan he recommended.

Dr Crofford has failed me in every aspect. As a professional athlete I have had numerous encounters with ortho doctors, and Dr Crofford is hands down the worst I have ever seen. He failed to listen to me about my pain management needs prior to surgery, and then belittled me post operative when I told him that it wasn't being managed effectively. During the rehab process he failed again to listen to me when I said something was wrong with the repair, to find out two months later that my repair was unsuccessful. I went to him with an unstable but functional hip and can now barely walk.

Dr. Crofford was excellent! I went to an orthopedic specialist in my hometown before going to him. The specialist in my hometown didn’t listen and because he did not listen or even review the xray or mri on hand, he misdiagnosed my issue. I had a bad feeling and decided to get a second opinion with a doctor in a bigger city. Dr. Crofford was my second opinion and he was leaps and bounds better than my local specialist. I wish I had gone to him first! Dr. Crofford listened attentively, reviewed my Xray and mri WITH me so he could point out the areas of concern and what they meant. If I hadn’t come to Dr. Crofford, the treatment plan of the local orthopedic specialist would have caused more long-term damage. I’m so thankful I ended up choosing Dr. Crofford! I couldn’t have even imagined a better orthopedic specialist. He will be doing my hip surgery soon and I have total peace knowing I will be in good hands. I want to also add that when he told me surgery was the only real solution for my issue, I told him it was my first surgery and he sensed that I was uneasy about it. He came and sat next to me and comforted and assured me. That meant a great deal to me. He was sensitive me me as a person, not just as another patient. I highly highly recommend him! Dr. Crofford replaced both my hip and knee. I can walk normally again for the first time in years. The knee injury occurred 50 years ago and required extensive removal of bone spurs. His surgical work was excellent. He uses the anterior procedure for hip replacement, and is the most experienced surgeon in Tarrant County with this procedure. Anterior is the only procedure to use for hip replacement since it does not cut muscles and the recovery is much faster. I give Dr. Crofford my highest recommendation. Dr Crofford did an excellent job on my hip! I had a hip arthroscopy that involved stitching up a torn labrum and shaving off several bone spurs. He told me exactly what I should expect during and after surgery, especially the time I would be with no weight placed on my leg/hip. He explained in detail the difference in a hip replacement and the arthroscopy, so that I could make the decision on my own. The surgery went very well, with absolutely no pain in my hip anymore. Dr. Crofford performed my surgery to replace my hip joint last year. I was so relieved even the day of surgery to realize the chronic pain had been aleviated. Very disrespectful of patient's time and concerns. Kept me waiting in the examining space for almost an hour. When he arrived he did not apologize but complained to me that he had had even at his home waiting for a service technician to arrive for their appointment. A re-scheduling call would have been appreciated but I was not offered that option. Gave me an injection in my knee that was extremely painful. The pain intensified throughout the day and continued for several days. When I called to inquire if this was normal I was allowed only to speak to a nurse. She was extremely rude and caustic and pretty much bawled me out for calling and wasting her time. I never went back.

Dr. Crofford has done three knee surgeries for me, including two replacements. His skill as a surgeon is amazing, and is matched by his bedside manner. He is one of the top three doctors I've seen in my entire life. I highly recommend him; even if you don't end up having surgery his insights will be valuable.

I have had both full hip replacements. Excellent pre and post surgery’s. Frontal incision is the only way to have the surgery.

Dr. Crofford replaced my left hip in 2017. The process was very thorough! I had no issues with my recovery and today, I forget I even have a hip prosthetic!! Dr. Crofford and his staff are awesome!

Rt. knee had total joint replacement speedy recovery without issue. Dr.Crofford is an outstanding surgeon who also has a wonderful bedside manner. Visits daily after surgery and has a strict post surgical rehab. regimen that if followed will provide a speedy recovery. I have had all major joints in my body replaced due to joint disease. My right knee is very functional and pain free five years post surgery. I am about to have left knee total replacement by Dr. Crofford the prosthesis he uses is excellent. Looking forward to a fall free future.

Very unprofessional on the way he speaks to his staff and patients. Made my grandma feel very uncomfortable the way he spoke to her regarding her knee as if everything was her fault. Then came back into the room and apologized to her for his rude behavior. His nurse came back into the room crying after he spoke to her, just all together was very rude and I can not wait until her knee is healed and she does not have to go see him again. Everyone runs on time (I am sure there is the occasional emergency, I just haven't experienced it), is very professional and, best of all, they know what they are doing!!!

Minimal waiting time to be seen. Dr. Crofford took the time to listen to my knee situation and he took me through the MRI findings that lead him to his treatment recommendations. I have in the past, and will continue, to recommend Dr. Crofford to my friends and family.

Dr. Crofford provided me with excellent care in regards to my recent hip replacement. I did have to wait a total of 7 months (2 month wait to get inital appt and 5 month wait to have surgery) but I believe the excellence, experience and pain free active future were worth the wait.

I’m facing my second (& 3rd) joint replacements with Dr. Crofford. He’s kind, personable, gave me some options, along with his opinion regarding the surgery but ultimately left the decision to me. (And his scheduling nurse is just as awesome as he)! I highly, highly recommend him!

I have gone to Dr. Crofford for about 16 years. I have a lot of genetic arthritis and have had chemo as well so I don’t have the best bones. I have had many surgeries for knees and hips. I love Dr . The Hip and Knee Center was recommended by several friends who had been treated by these doctors. Due to weather related traffic issues, we were 10 minutes late for my husband’s appointment with Dr. Crofford. The reception staff was very understanding about our lateness. The waiting room time was only about 15 minutes. We were both highly impressed with Dr.Crofford. He greeted us smiling and in such a friendly manner that our anxiety about a difficult hip surgery was eased. In order to do the hip replacement, a plate inserted 25 years ago would have to be removed. Dr. Crofford explained thoroughly the condition of the hip joint, the options, the possibilities of what could happen, things to consider, and more. After deciding to do the surgery this summer, Andrea came to the treatment room and spent a long time explaining the details of what to expect and what to do before the surgery. Stay FAR away! He spent the appointment talking about other cases, barely examined me, didn’t ask about my pain level or any physical limitations. He patted me on my shoulder, said “well, we talked” and left. In tears with more questions, I got a second opinion and found out I was misdiagnosed. Dr. Crofford had prescribed physical therapy which would have worsened my condition, but instead I just had arthroscopic hip surgery for a severe bone spur that had caused an extensive labral tear.

A very painful knee was diagnosed as a bruised bone after Dr Crofford ordered an MRI- the only accurate diagnostic test for a bruised bone

Dr. Crofford replaced my left hip in December '17 and my right hip February '18. I am very pleased and can sleep through the night without pain. Dr Crofford was and is incredible I had my hip replacement last week I have s underlying medical condition I am doing so good no one can believe it he did an incredible job, hip pain gone no surgery pain either.

Total hip replacement 12/4/17. Home on 12/5. Never used a walker, used a cane 25% of the time for 3 days. Walked 3/4 of a mile one week post surgery. Increased walking distance daily and did 2 miles 2.5 weeks post surgery. End of week 3 I walked 2.5 to 3 miles daily. Saw Dr Crofford on 1/4/18 for one month follow-up and he turned me loose to do any and everything I feel comfortable with. What an amazing procedure/experience/surgeon. Hospital is like a Ritz Carlton...no kidding. Jeff J.

Had total hip replacement all went well. Incision still healing am walking around and having no pain, this was done on the first week--third week. Anterior robotic assisted surgery which he specializes in. Three different approaches--Anterior, lateral and posterior. Hope to be released by1/11 18.
