I requested past medical records from this doctor. The secretary told me they had no record on file for me, so I requested a letter stating that they had no records. I got said letter signed by Doctor Mandelkorn, which additionally stated that I had with ADHD. This is was not what I was originally diagnosed with. The implicit assumption here is that if you were in his office at all, at any time in the past, you had ADHD, whether records show it or not. Association = diagnosis. I was diagnosed with depression, but this response makes me question how much thought and consideration went into the assessment that determined much of the next ten years of my life. Not to mention, that the letter could potentially have given me access to potent drugs that I don't need and shouldn't be taking. The lack of professionalism in this instance is astounding. I suggest those who are seeking help remember that a critical mind is a great tool, and I just don't see that in Dr. Mandelkorn. At least not anymore.
