I took my then18 month old daughter to Dr. Rattey at least three times. My daughter had swelling of the knee, pain and stiffness especially in the morning. I asked whether or not she could have arthritis and was told no.She was finally diagnosed with JRA at age 9.This doctor was not the only doctor that missed the diagnosis probably due to my daughter having Down syndrome. She is now 17 years old and takes medication regularly but has not needed a wheelchair since she was 9.
