I took my Mom in for surgery on her wrist. Dr. Beird was very friendly and did a wonderful job. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I personally would highly recommend Dr. Beird for your future procedure!

My son was bitten in the face by a pitbull and DR Beird did amazing on his surgery. As done outstanding with us and still continues to do. He takes care of my son like he is his own. I wouldn’t have it any other way, all around a great guy

My interactions with Dr. Beird was very pleasant. The staff was nice and understanding. Today. Despite the negative reviews on google I still went And it was a lovely exchange...

Late review, but not too late to be of help. Tried to leave more than 1 star, but can't do it. Broke pinky pretty bad 5 years ago playing hoops. Was referred to Beird as a local hand doc. Finger wouldn't straighten after first surgery due to damaged tendons during surgery, strike one. Says easy fix so I get the pleasure of a 2nd surgery, which did nothing. Strike two. Dr Beird is all A+. From his office,to his staff, Their demeanor, The treatment you receive before,during and after any procedure along with The expedited help when it comes to dealing with insurance problems is amazing..

I went here after cutting off my left index finger. Dr. Beird is one of the best doctors I have been to. He doesn't care about appeasing the system, he just cares about how to properly care for his patients. He went out of his way to help me when most surgens wouldn't even return my phone call.

Unfortunately, I’ll have to agree with the many other comments. Dealing with Dr. Beird was a pleasure, and he takes the time to explain what’s going on and how we can resolve any issues. He engages with you like any other human. However, twice when I’ve called with questions the other end has served me with a condescending attitude and zero empathy. Every Dr. office is busy, so my suggestion is to ask yourselves why you think your office is any busier than others, and if that should give you the right to treat humans in need like they’re animals. Dr. Beird performed my surgery many years ago. I have since moved from Michigan and no matter what new doctor I have seen since --- or technician, nurse, etc. --- they have complimented Dr. Beird's work! I had gone to a plastic surgeon prior to Dr. Beird for consultation and left so sad and depressed. Someone suggested Dr. Beird as my second opinion and after meeting him and discussing procedures, I knew for a fact that I was in good hands!! 5 STARS and beyond !! I am not one to review anything or anyone, whether it's good or bad. But my experience with Dr. Beird has been fantastic and I felt the need to do this. Dr. Beird and his staff are amazing! They are honest, have integrity of their work and treated me like a friend not a patient. I love that he is so easy to talk to and TAKES time with me. He doesnt rush my appointments. When I am seeing him I feel that I am the only one in the office. The procedures that I have had done by Dr. Beird has went above and beyond my expectations. He is very thorough with what each treatment consists of and what to expect with recovery. I will always go back to Dr. Beird with my future surgeries. absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life! Five years prior I cut my finger on a piece of glass, and went to Thomas beard and he said he could fix my finger. That it was no problem . now my finger is stuck in the closed position not able to open my finger...

Dr. Beird is a great surgeon and I am happy with the results, however..... do not trust or believe the quoted amount that you are given at your initial visit. I trusted them, and was hugely mislead!!! The Office and the Surgical Center will continue to Bill you months after the procedure. (Even when you pay the "Cash - Fee Quote"). The girls in the office are not friendly nor professional, and because of this, if I was to do the procedure again, I would go elsewhere!! This office is the best his staff goes above and beyond and Dr.Beird is a very kind and gentle down to earth doctor he takes the time to answer all my questions no matter how many people are waiting in the waiting room

Loving my mommy makeover! Dr Beird gives you the time you need at each appointment, which means you may wait, but it's worth it! He has gone above and beyond. Only thing better than his care was the great price, I got my money's worth plus more. Did I mention I am very HAPPY!

Dr. Bierd is amazing. I was very impressed with him and his staff they treated me as if I was family. He even made a personal phone call to myself the next morning to check up on me. I've never had a doctor do that. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Beird is a very good surgeon, however..... As many other Reviews state, it is unfortunately all about the money! Knowing what I know now, I would go elsewhere ! DO NOT TRUST THE QUOTE THEY GIVE YOU IN THE OFFICE! They will unfortunately lie to you to get your business.

Performs unnecessary simple procedures at mackinaw surgery center that could be done in the office but since he owns part of the surgery center he can charge significantly more to do them there. Receptionist will not let you past her to communicate anything. Answering service after hours is a waste of time. Dr. will not respond, ever.

The doctor severly damaged the nerve in my finger during my procedure. Afterwards, he ignored all my complaints about my damaged nerve. After complaining on a few occasions, the staff refused to let me see Dr. Beird. again. His staff has refused to release my medical records to another specialist, which is illegal. I DO NOT recommend this doctor.

Every time I have been to this office there is always a long wait past my scheduled appointment. Today my appointment was 845am. Still waiting at 920am. This is ridiculous! Hopefully I won't have to see him again after this visit. And I will be informing my employer not to refer anyone to him

First and last time patient at this office. Receptionist was trying to say that they were just a busy office, but reality is that they do not know how to time manage. As mentioned many times before, the wait time is absolutely awful. Dr. Beird himself has been fantastic but dealing with his staff has been a horrible experience every time I've been here. I've witnessed multiple hippa violations here. Every receptionist we have talked to on the phone and in person is completely rude and condescending. Just once I wish they would forget to hang up a phone so patients can hear what is being said about them after the phone call. Dealing with Dr. Beird has been great, but the process of getting to see him is so horrible its almost comical. As mentioned many times before, the wait time is absolutely awful. The wait time is awful. I worked 3rd shift for 11 hours then took my son to his Dr appt.....He wasn't seen until SEVERAL HOURS after his scheduled time. I had a TT and MR 9 weeks ago! I have no regrets! He did an amazing job! The girls at the office are great! They answered any questions that I had. Surgery was great. Appointments for follow ups were easy. He explained everything to me that I needed to know, and answered ANY questions that I had. I felt that he spent time with me, and didnt make me feel rushed. My experience was great, and I would do it all over again! Cant wait for summer and bikini weather to get here!

I found Dr Beird to be a very caring dr. He did my breast reconstruction I had many issues through no fault of his. He was very accommodating His staff was great

Have had numerous skin surgeries and carpal tunnel on both hands. Did a great job! Highly recommended!

Dr. Beird does not stand behind his work. The staff treats you like a customer, not like a patient.

Would not recommend. In office surgery with assisting nurse not wearing gloves. Doc did a rush job as he was uncomfortable standing for so long in his dress shoes causing his back to hurt. The 'permanent' tendon stitches came out through the wound. Called many times concerned with the progress only to be brushed off. Went back in to have the hand checked out and again brushed off. Four months later and it's worse than before the surgery.
