Dr. Thomas Daniel Ferro

Surgery took place last week and although all went well, (I think), came home with "mystery" rash that as of a week later continues to spread.....office NOT good about following through with phone messages left or verbally expressed to third parties, (assigned re-hab nurse), in getting back to patient. 48 hours later than promised, with patient direct involvement finally received "additional" medication with what now has become a skin infection.... If they shave your leg, asked last time blades were changed out, or how they dis-infect shaver from patient to patient???

I was having hip pain. Dr Ferro informed me, he believed I needed a replacement. I played one more match of tennis, while I was thinking about it and was back in his office asking for one. Staff was very friendly. Surgery went great. Post op medical availability was excellent.

My outcome has been ?? MISERABLE!!! I thought everything was great 2 weeks after surgery only to wake up one am and knew something was wrong! Low and behold I had a Staph MSSA (a family of Staph MRSA.. which can be deadly).. Dr Ferro nor his staff adequately handled my AWFUL SITUATION! I went and got several other opinions (once I had 2 surgeries w Dr Ferro ! 1: knee replacement 2: 2 weeks later to washout for infection . The infection stayed (which is thought to happen during first surgery at the surgical center bc of Staph present in operating room or otherwise. I’ve now had my 3rd surgery with new Dr to replace the implant Dr Ferro put in! DISASTER for me financially, mentally, physically, work related, family related and MUCH MORE! I have my 4th and hopefully FINAL SURGERY THIS YEAR 2021.. to have my knee replaced and I’m 51 years old. I do not want anyone else to go through this with Dr Thomas Ferro! PleaSe ge other opinions as well. It’s a big surgery and should be life changin

Miracle of miracles Had knee replacement yesterday... Haven't had any pain and no need for the pain pills. Hard to believe how good I feel the day after. I had total hip replacement Did not need pain medication Was up on a walker I give thanks to Dr Ferro and staff were courteous kind understanding It was the best that I ever did. 2 years ago going strong and no pain ??

Absolutely the best experience! My husband had total knee replacement. He had the surgery in the morning, we were back in our hotel that afternoon. It is now the next evening, he has been walking on it since he left the hospital, with the aid of a walker...... but he hasn’t needed any pain medication! Dr. Ferro and his entire team have been extremely personable, accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process.

Dr. Ferro is brilliant. Had a hip replacement and my recovery was very fast. Thank you, Dr. Ferro and your dream team, for restoring my hip and giving me my life back. Wish I had done this sooner. Very smooth, state-of-the art process from start to finish.

Surgery was fine. Unorganized office staff. Out of pocket expense is outrageous $7500! Can't be billed to insurance because you sign a form otherwise insurance would pay for it. Was told I would have a knee joint made just for me thru 3D modeling. Nope they use pre- fabricated joints. Still waiting for my overpayment refund from March. There are orthopedics that do make joints just for you and there is no out of pocket cost.

After one surgery that failed and one that I wasn't notified what time to come in, and one that Dr. Ferro stopped because of a small sore by surgery site. I was so upset but Dr Ferro said not to worry and he would operate when the sore healed. My next appt was cancelled and I was released from his practice. What kind of Doctor doesn't fix his mistake? I trusted him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ferro for approximately 13 years, he has been a great doctor, I drive roughly 41/2 hours one way to see & be treated by him. I had a visit scheduled the first part of May, 2018 and was told they didn’t have the necessary technicians on duty to start my routine exam. I returned home. I have since been notified that one of his staff notified my workers comp adjuster and told him that they “Pam” had canceled my treatments. I thought Dr.Ferro was a bigger person.

Dr. Ferro , is a Wonderful Doctor. All I can say he is the Best Doctor I've Ever Been too.

I had my left knee replaced by Dr. Ferro as an outpatient procedure at Oak Park Surgery Center, and the entire experience was outstanding! I was walking 30 minutes after surgery and headed home 2 hours after surgery, what a complete difference from having my other knee done in a hospital 6 years ago

As others have said, Dr. Ferro is a fine physician but the waiting time at appointments is far too long. The office seems to schedule people to show up an hour before they actually get in--very irritating.

I saw the PA more than the doctor. He did a total knee replacement without trying physical therapy or a brace first. He never explained anything about the procedure. I wish I would have researched the procedure before doing the surgery. I now have no feeling in part of my knee and leg. I walk with a limp and the surgery threw my back out of alignment. I am in constant pain. Had I known I would still have pain in !Y knee, I would have never done it. Dr ferroo and his assistant just dismissed my

Dr. Ferro did both my knee and shoulder surgeries. He is a God send with his surgical skills, techniques, and caring & compassionate bed side manner. I feel like a new person!!

I had a total knee replacement done by Dr. Ferro ten days ago. I saw four doctors and they all diagnosed me needing a complete replacement. I heard nothing but good about him so I scheduled him to do the surgery. Ten days later the recovery is great and the surgery went well. However, I work up in horrific pain. A spasm in my back. He not only listened to me and what was going on, but he stood there and massaged the spasm and put hot compresses on it until it stopped. Best doctor ever.

Dr. Ferro was able to do total hip replacement in the out-patient clinic so that I was able to go home the same evening. He is kind, gentle and has excellent bedside manner. His staff is kind and helpful.

Bad experience. Two different diagnoses between Dr. Ferro and his PA, Greg Stevens. I was diagnosed by the PA to have shoulder impingement syndrome and prescribed physical therapy by the PA to treat the impingement. Upon seeing Dr. Ferro (for the first time in five months of care at the practice) he (Dr. Ferro) told me that he did not know why I believed I had shoulder impingement syndrome and that, in fact I have degenerative arthritis and he believed physical therapy to be witchcraft. BE WARY!

He is so talented and knowledgeable. He is able to save the ligament with his state of the art knee replacement. Ive seen him for numerous trigger finger repairs. He is so humble when he cares for my fingers. Im so impressed with his care no matter how simple or complicated the procedure might be.

Dr. Ferro repaired a meniscus tear in 1996. It has been a long time since the surgery, but I remember that Dr. Ferro and his staff were very professional, friendly, and caring. They followed up with me after the surgery an were there to answer all my questions. Since the surgery and after Dr. Ferro's instructions to avoid high impact sports for about a year, I have completed one full marathon and over 30 half marathons, all in the last 10 years. Needless to say, the surgery was a success.
