Easy in / easy out!! Exceptional follow up from Dr. Huffs staff.

I received the best care from this doctor and team. I was turned down by our local group due to a BMI >36. This made me vocal and mad after I had already lost 38 lbs. The pain was intense in my knee. While getting therapy on my shoulder I heard about other local patients that had driven up from Grants Pass to see him. They were all very satisfied with his care. My shoulder PT got his info and he accepted me for surgery. I’m out 2 weeks post op. The word from therapy and the PA is that I’m doing great. Thank you for accepting me for surgery. This will change my life and give my ability to be active with the family back again. No more limping around at work. I’ve been recommending Dr. Huff to everyone that I know. I’m sending the message to all my RN friends/coworkers that need a total knee done to don’t delay getting it done. Thank you to this team and the doctor.

He listened to what I said, did all the necessary things, and the surgery turned out so much much better than a previous doc I used.

Surgery went well, recovering nicely

Dr. Huff is an excellent surgeon. I'm less than 6 weeks post-op and am walking well already.

Dr Huff and his staff provided professional skill and care for my full hip replacement surgery. The procedure, as well as the pre and post operative care are superb. After two weeks, I am experiencing the positive outcome of a replacement hip. I recommend Dr. Huff without hesitation for this procedure.

A professional with a bed side manner that feels genuine. His day-surgery location was a great experience - everyone knew what they were doing, were professional, and took an active interest in me as a patient and person. Everyone was great.

Dr. Huff performed :My right knee surgery right before Covid19 started. I had a hip replacement in February 2021 and I have had my left knee surgery on August 10, 2021 all done by Dr. Huff. The care I received from his staff was outstanding.

Every step of the process for my hip replacement was excellently administered prior, during and post surgery. Just a tremendous team to be associated with this procedure.

Hip replacement surgery--seems like it's healing quickly. Able to walk and up and down stairs about 2.5 weeks from surgery date.

Dr. Huff performed my total hip replacement. The surgery went very smoothly. The preparation that began several weeks in advance was comprehensive, including explaining the pre-op steps, surgery and post-op care. The follow up has continued (I am beginning week 3) with daily check-ins via email, with opportunity for questions that receive rapid response. My recovery has been excellent. In home nursing and physical therapy visits are provided. The quality of surgical care and commmunication/availability of the entire team has been outstanding. I recommend Dr. Huff without reservation.

Dr. Huff replaced both my knees (and one of my mom’s). Both were done as day surgery and my recovery was quick. I can bend my knees to about 140 degrees and they are both stable and pain free.

Dr. Huff is an amazing doctor. He is very calm and caring and takes pride in his work. I have had two TKR with Dr. Huff and am doing very well now!

I had two full knee replacements. Both times the care at Oregon Institute Technology was fantastic. You feel welcomed, great care. It is obvious the care team like what they do. They are upbeat, knowledgeable, caring and have a sense of humor. The Anesthesiologist made me feel secure and safe. All the team are real professionals.

He did my first knee replacement , done 2yrs.ago .wouldn't have anyone else. The knee is better now than in 20 yrs. Had 2nd. Done 2 wks. Ago coming along Just fine!!

Dr. Huff replaced my left hip recently and will be replacing my right hip in a week. We chose to replace my hips 3 weeks apart because they were both that bad. He's an excellent surgeon. The entire process has exceeded my expectations..

I met Dr. Thomas Huff in 2014. He performed a left hip arthroplasty. I was very pleased with his team and my results. I traveled 3,692 miles in 2020 just to have Dr. Huff and his team perform a right hip arthroplasty. I can't believe how easily I have recovered from this hip replacement. They are amazing and they are the best!!! Dr. Huff knows his stuff. I owe him and his team a lot of gratitude and love. Thank you for making my life enjoyable again. God bless you.

I am 37 years old and needed a full posterior hip replacement, Dr. Huff was amazing to work with. Not at all a diagnosis someone at my age thinks they'll hear but he was very informative and understanding, surgery went great, made me comfortable and put my mind at ease!

Dr. Huff saved my career (RN) and gave me back a future worth being present for. In my 50’s and active, but taking many Ibuprofen to get through 12 hour shifts on my feet for hip pain. My first hip was replaced at Rebound in SW Washington and began failing in 4 months - hardware loosening until that leg was shorter than the other and misery w/ every step. Barely able to perform my job & daunting/terrifying to try to care for my livestock, home, & property on crutches. A close MD pal helped me research best hip person in our area, and Dr. Huff is that person. Several second opinions and no one answered my many questions like Dr. Huff. Frightened to be facing another surgery a year after the first one, Huff and OHSU team gave me complete confidence every step of the way, Huff let me have input into my prosthesis and be a partner in my plan of care. 15 months later I am hiking, cycling, herding sheep, and working 12 hr shifts full time in ICU. Certainly wish I had picked him 1st time!

Dr. Huff is one of the best Hip & knee surgeons in the Country! He replaced my Hip 2 years ago it’s prefect better than what I expected and replaced my knee less than 3 weeks ago. After 14 different surgery’s from different surgeons over the past 20 years on my legs and knees where bad! My left knee was a mess and my leg was almost 3/4” shorter!! Well guess what I’m level and walking with no problems in less than 3 weeks! So I guess there are a lot of Doctors who replace Hips and knees now?? But would you be better off with Dr. Huff who replaces 400 to 500 hips and knees every year??!! Or would you go to someone else?! I would only go to Dr. Huff he is the best at this type of surgery take it from a man who’s hip and knee had become miserable and painful I really through I was a cripple!! Well my hip is like new and my Knee is almost heeled!! I’m so grateful for a man called Dr. Huff!! Patrick Woods

My hip joint replacement surgery has been a was a wonderful experience! Very impressed with Dr. Huff and his team from the initial assessment appointment Dr. Huff to the on-going daily follow-up support with his assistants. Every single staff who was involved in my surgery was efficient and professional, but also very attentive and genuinely caring. Dr. Huff and the anesthesiologist spent time to answer all my questions. Even though my operation was delayed by one hour, they frequently came to check in with me and to make sure that I was comfortable. The whole process of the operation was assuring and so smooth that when I woke up, I thought I was still in the surgery. I had my own designated recovery carer, Vern, who took care of all my needs from the second I woke up until when I left the hospital. I've been benefiting from their post-op on-line support system: the daily check-in email and ever so prompt response to any of my concerns. Highly recommend Dr.Huff and his team!

Excellent surgeon

From the time it was decided I needed hip replacement surgery, Dr. Huff and his staff were 'johhny on the spot' and guided me through everything I would need. The morning of the surgery, the OSI facility was prepped and ready to go, and I was in surgery for just under an hour in total time. The post-op care has been great as well, with their constant checks on me and scheduled PT, post-op surgical consultations and constant welfare checks.

I have had both hips replaced within just over two months of each other. One, on the 12th of March, and the other on May 17th. Both were a complete success. I feel absolutely wonderful. It is amazing how great I feel at this point. The surgeries went fast and without any problems whatsoever. It is my pleasure to recommend Dr. Huff. I will be recommending him to everyone I meet, that is in need of the same procedure.

Dr. is extremely competent as well as the rest of his team. I felt very secure about their ability and expertise throughout the entire knee replacement process.
