Dr. Johnston and his staff have taken care of my heart for for quite some time now, his staff has the knowledge and take great responsibility in their jobs. I think Dr. Johnston is one of the Premier heart specialists in Middle Tennessee.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas Johnston for a number of years. He is a very very good cardiologist very kind and soft-spoken. I would recommend Dr Johnston to anyone I had to have open heart surgery and he was there every step of the way. Thank God for doctors like Dr. Johnston.

I have had nothing but the highest quality care from Dr. Johnston for a number of years.

Dr. Johnston and his staff have given me my life back. Every step of the way during the process of regaining a healthy heart his staff nutured me through it. I love everyone in his office. The staff gives excellent care from the front desk check-in to the end of my visit. The staff is always concern with how I feel or if I have any issues that they need to address. This is my VIP OFFICE. I COULD NOT ASK FOR BETTER CARE. GRATEFUL YOLANDA CATHEY

Tom Johnston absolutely saved my life. At 49, an otherwise healthy female, I experienced some “weird “ symptoms. He had me in the next day and I had an angiogram and there was 90 percent blockage in my RCA. I received an immediate stent. Two years later, I felt like I was going to pass out just one time. He said, let’s go get an angiogram. My stent had very atypically failed. A new stent had to be placed. He is intelligent, calm, kind, thorough, obviously amazingly intuitive. Dr. Johnston has been my cardiologist for many years and I have always had excellent care when needed. The office and staff is always friendly and I have never had to wait a long time for my appointment. They have started Tele-Visits and at these times it makes it very nice for just regular checkups. Doctor Johnston and Dr Beasley are the best doctor anyone could ask for they are very caring very detailed and make you feel secure about your situation I love these guys . I recommend that any and everybody come to see them if they have a cardiac problem.

My recent visit with Dr. Johnston met all of my expectations. He was timely and thorough, always attentive to my concerns and used language that I can understand. I would recommend him to patients seeking a physician who specializes in heart related issues.

I can't say enough great things about Centennial Heart. The staff, nurses, even the lady from the kitchen who delivered my trays to me and my wife while she stayed beside me. The doctors were on top of their game. The nurses were extremely professional down to each detail. Smiling or joking as they made their rounds at the end of the day. Thank You All! The one word I use to describe Thomas and his team is stellar. I look for a team of medical professionals as interested in my heart health as I am. I find that in Centennial Heart, Heart Failure Unit.and Doc Johnston. I continue to be impressed in their level of expertise and their overall "give-a-hoot-ness" to provide me effective and thorough care. Dr. Johnston is.a consummate professional, whose greatest concern is the well-being of his patients. He listens carefully both to his patients’ words as well as the physical indicators of their health. I gladly entrust my health to him and his staff.

He recently helped to save my life by scheduling a procedure to remove fluid from heart. In addition he recently became my cardiologist a few months ago after a different hospital visit. He and his lovely staff are concise and precise. You, as a patient, are included and fully engaged from his diagnosis, to procedure, and follow up. He has the bedside manner of a father and a friend. I had damage from a heart attack I didn't know I had and was sent to Tristar Centennial by ambulance in January 2018. I was assigned to Dr Johnston during my stay. He went to work to find out what was going on and he and surgeon Dr Reddy talked to me and I had to have a triple by pass. I have been under Dr Johnston care since that time. He is very knowledgeable and caring and I will see him as long as he feels I need to. In February of 2018 I had a massive heart attack and since then the Drs. At Centennial Heart have taken the greatest care of me. My husband and I recommend them highly. If you want the best care please go to Centennial Heart in Nashville. You will love them as we do. Dr. Johnnston and his team are the best.

Dr. Johnston, along with his nurse practitioner Desirae and his nurse Tisa are the best medical providers I’ve ever worked with. They have gone out of their way to be available to me and my family to ensure that we had all the information we needed, and ensure that I continued to make progress with regard to my heart health. Dr. Johnston always answers any questions that I or my parents have and goes out of his way to ensure that we leave feeling good about where my care is headed and that I’m moving toward the end goal of increasing the function of my heart. My experience with Dr. Johnston was professional and very patient friendly. He made a point to listen and then respond to my issues. The staff is friendly and caring. It was comforting having Dr. Johnston involved in my health concerns.

Dr. Johnston is a great listener. He he patiently listens to the concerns as they are presented and provides a very proactive, actionable response. I recommend Dr. Johnston to anyone who asks or is seeking a cardiologist. He has been very consistent and willingly collaborative on plans of care when individuals like myself are not wholly sold on using medication and want to modify the process. He has a very gentle spirit w/a calm about himself that is comforting when one is overwhelmed w/having to go discuss his/her “pump” (aka heart) and his bedside manner is top notch. I had not been in the office in 3 yrs but I felt as if I had been there very recently. Dr. Johnston will retire before I chose to see another cardiologist. The staff and other clinicians were very warm, attentive, and welcoming.

Never have to wait long for visit. Dr. Johnston, is very polite, thorough and attentive to all situations. I feel very fortunate to have found him three years ago when I had an emergency episode and had to have surgery. I will certainly recommend him to anyone that is searching for a cardiologist. I feel he is the best.

Such a professional, thorough, and kind doctor....and Dr. Johnston's staff is exactly the same. They made a scary experience much better by carefully explaining what was happening and making sure that I understood.

My sister has gone to Dr. Johnston for years with heart problems-congestive heart and has had a stroke. Due to such good care of Dr. Johnston she is still here nearly 15 years later. So, when I had to have stomach surgery, I went to see Dr. Johnston to see if my heart was OK for surgery at age of 73. I have now had 5 stomach surgery and last year passed out 5 times and Dr. Johnston kept saying it was my heart and finally after 3 days and night with nothing showing up, my heart dropped to 30 and I had to have pacemaker last year. My husband also goes to Dr. Johnston with AFib and thickening of heart. We have all confidence in his Judgement when it comes to the heart. My whole family highly recommend Dr. Johnston!!!!

Dr. Johnston is a very dedicated and caring cardiologist. Had it not been for his persistence to find the cause of my constant complaint of chest discomfort, I would not be alive today. Because he listened to me even when less invasive procedures indicated no problems with my heart, he soon learned about the real cause of my problem. I am truly grateful and blessed to have him as my cardiologist!!

Dr. Johnston and his team are easy to talk to and will sit an answer questions and explain things that I don't understand the first time. I have been with them for over six months and have found them very professional and they explain all my options so I feel like I have a say in my care. Love dr. Johnston and his staff but have a problem with email confirmations. Received one yesterday that just stated confirmation of appointment with our HCA physician. No doctor name and it didn’t state that dr. Johnson needed to change our scheduled appointment. Very confusing! Had to call the phone number listed to see who email was from,

Dr. Johnston displayed compassion, professionalism and expertise. My experience happened very fast. I was having what I thought was acid indigestion and his office got me in quickly for an appt and then straight to an arteriogram and then double bypass surgery that saved my life. I trust Dr. Johnston and the staff at Centennial with my life, literally!

Dr. Johnston is the best. I have been Dr. Johnston’s patient for 12 or so years. In the last two years or so I faced two open heart surgeries in 7 months, pluse a stroke. It is very difficult to express my confidence in Dr. Johnston. Before Dr. Johnston I had two other cardiologist that I felt did not have my best interest at heart. My primary care physician found Dr. Johnston for me. Highly recommended him and I have never considered leaving his practice. Love him and his staff.
