If they don't fully collect from the insurance you will sit and wait indefinitely even if you had an appointment. Been going there for 2 years never had a single issue with payment, but that's irrelevant to them. They have no respect for people except while they are attending physical therapy at their shop. You make an appointment with a doctor, you see a nurse who knows nothing. Can't even prescribe Tylenol even if she says you need it. My barbershop is more beneficial as a business than this place. unless you are a senior citizen needing physical therapy at their shop, you will not benefit from this business.

Staff are very friendly, but also very professional. Dr Perkins is without a doubt the most caring an professional doctor I have seen in a long time. He fixed two complete tears in my rotator cuff. I felt relief from pain immediately after my surgery, was just more of a soarness feeling than the extreme pain I was in. In just two short weeks I was almost in full motion again I can't thank him an his staff enough. He is the only Ortho Dr I will ever go to again. After a skiing accident last January, I discovered that I completely ruptured my ACL. As a physical therapist in the North Oakland area for the past 15 years, I have referred many patients to Dr Perkins. Without question, I chose Dr Perkins for my own ACL reconstruction. Dr Perkins is a caring, highly skilled surgeon that makes you feel comfortable and confident through the entire surgical and rehabilitation process. I am happy with my outcome as I have returned to an active lifestyle of hiking, biking, weight lifting, and playing backyard football with my sons. Dr. Perkins did my 17 yr old daughter's knee surgery and he did an absolutely excellent job. Perfect bedside manner and explains everything. Genuinely cares about his patients. Staff is excellent also. Highly recommend!

They charge me for a full visit for just going through an MRI results which only took them few minutes and could have done easily on the phone but of course they will not do that so they can bill insurances and generate more money. All what they cared about is the money. I am doing my surgery at another DR who is treating me fairly.

Surgery on my shoulder is going much faster and smother than expected. I can only recommend Dr. Perkins. My physical-therapist also said that i made a good choice by going to Dr. Perkins. Dr Perkins is exceptionally friendly and takes the time to explain the diagnosis and any necessary procedures. He truly cares about his patients and their well being. His team is also very thorough and friendly. I highly recommend him and his staff. Thanks Dr Perkins and team!!!

Dr. Perkins did a wonderful knee replacement for me. My scar looks great, his PT was excellent, I was driving after 3 weeks. My leg is straight for the first time in years. Dr. Perkins is a patient, encouraging doctor who did a TKR for me. He managed my pain well and explained procedures in a clear, understandable way. His willingness to answer questions often results in long waits, but he is worth the wait! Unfortunately, the young woman at the desk lacked the same friendly demeanor. She was curt—no smile, no welcome, and seemed to have an attitude with everyone in the waiting room. who asked her anything.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came to Dr. Perkins as a referral and ended up with more issues as a result of a surgery he should have never performed on someone my age. I was active and needed ACL replacement and left there with more surgery then ever was expected and left me bone on bone. Miserable for over a year I was told by him "let's pray it get's better". He suggested later I get "shots" which he then told me he no longer provides as it's too hard for insurance to cover and they have a shelf life. I eventually had to get a full knee replacement at 49 year old and lost 2 years of my active lifestyle to get back to where I was back then. I would and continue to NOT recommend this Doctor to anyone. I eventually ended up having to have a full knee replacement at another Doctor that fortunately could fix what this awful doctor created. I wanted to say that I had an absolutely great experience with Dr. Perkins and RHO. I had a mildly complex tear of the medial meniscus that I needed surgery on. I believe the surgery took an entire 20 minutes and I was able to walk on it after 2 days. Granted I am 35 years old, though two weeks after surgery and I feel I am back to around 80-90% already. Dr. Perkins was very professional, answered all and any questions, and I would highly recommend RHO for any surgery needs. I first want to really tell you that Dr. Perkins saved my life. He was the only doctor who would even look at my case, and see me in person. This was almost 7 years ago. I was to the point that I was a 30 year old young woman who couldn’t walk without some kind of aid. Crutches for almost 2 years. A previous surgeon of mine referred me to Dr. Perkins because he couldn’t help me no longer, and had no idea how. I will never trust another doctor the way I have trusted Dr. Perkins and his staff. His staff is just as amazing. Dr. Perkins is real, and he takes his time to make sure you understand what is happening, and what will happen in the future. You can tell he cares about you, and I have never once felt rushed. He did a partial knee replacement on me, and that surgery helped me with so many aspects of my life. I am 36 now, and will forever be thankful that he stepped up to help me when other doctor’s wouldn’t even see me after receiving my records. Dr. Perkins recommends so many options prior to surgery and only recommends surgery if all else fails or is the only option. He has performed my lateral release and a meniscus tear. I totally disagree with Cathy Ludwig’s review as this is NOT a one star doctor! Every patient has a unique experience. A lot of expectations are unrealistic. We have referred so many of my Husband’s employees! Everyone we know goes to Dr. Perkins because of his desire to help all patients and have the best outcome! I am very athletic as well. Dr. Perkins has surgically repaired my shoulder, both of my husband's torn rotator cuffs, my daughter's rotator cuff, my brother-in-law's rotator cuff and a friend's rotator cuff. It is too soon to evaluate my outcome, but everyone else has had outstanding results! He and his staff are professionally responsive yet personable. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Perkins!

Dr. Perkins is great from my point of view. It is almost 17 years since I saw him. My left Patella was split in half horizontally and after being told by another doctor that they more than likely lose the lower part of my knee, Dr Perkins said he would do whatever it took to save my leg. Today, almost seventeen years later, I am still able to ambulated myself around and thank the Lord for Dr Perkins in so many ways. In my mind and soul I BELIEVE HE IS GREAT!!

BEST of the best surgeons. Our extended family of athletes have enjoyed success on a series of surgeries. Dr. Perkin's knowledge, experience, personality and performance is second to NONE.

Absolutely love Dr Perkins. Everyone in our family has seen him for something. He has an portable MRI that comes to his office and the scheduling time is short unlike other places/ hospitals. His staff is wonderful and very accommodating. He has a therapy suite right next to his office and an Outpatient surgery center. You may have to wait for you appointment if he is running behind but it is well worth the wait. He takes his time with you, answers all your questions and does not rush you. I saw that someone gave a poor rating, please do not pay attention to it. We feel very fortunate to have found a sports orthopod with such expertise and wonderful bedside manner. When I went to him I could not use my left arm at all. He found the issue quickly and I was in surgery in about a week and fully recovered from shoulder surgery in 8. It’s been a year and still feel fantastic. Highly recommend.
