Great man very caring

Dr Sculco performed two full hip replacements and one full right knee replacement twice, after a bad fall. I was 74, 75, 76, and 77. I was swimming in the ocean and walking in the sand 6 weeks after each major surgery. Dr Sculco not only gave me back my legs but gave me back my life. At age 80 I am still an open ocean swimmer and recently trekked 3 miles with my daughter in my home state of Hawaii. The best experience I've ever had in taking care of my Health .... Not only was Dr. Tom awesome!!! AS well as his staff, THE HOSPITAL IS AMAZING I WISH THEY WERE TRAINING ALL OF THE HOSPITALS IN OUR COUNTRY.

Dr. Sculco performed a total knee revision after a botched replacement by another surgeon. The revision was a success. His experience, demeanor and willingness to share information and answer all questions is wonderful!

hip replacement feels great

Fri A.M. surgery home Sat, walking within days and 1 week after surgery was walking better than 1 week prior - true. HSS is the best and Dr. Sculco has done 1000's of hip. Ironically he was not eager to proceed because of my young age until it had to be done. Patients come from all over the world to see him. THE BEST!

I had a total hip replacement in 2016 by Dr. Sculco. Words truly can't do this doctor justice. He is a fantastic surgeon and his professionalism, expertise, humble ,sincere, honest, genuine mannerism is unmatched. I have never met a doctor at his level of competence experience and achievement who truly cares about his patients. After surgery he stopped by and answered all my questions. I am so happy to share my wonderful experience with Dr. Sculco, his staff and the Hospital For Special Surgery. I had a TKR two years ago and a follow up a year later. Dr. Sculco is unlike any orthopedic surgeon I have ever met. He is brilliant, kind, informative and has a wonderful warm approach when it comes to surgery and preparation. He made me want to work hard at my physical therapy before and after surgery. I'm 75, walking 3 +miles a day & doing leg exercises as Dr. S. suggests.

Bilateral knee surgery last Monday (October 3rd ) walked up and down a flight of hospital stairs unassisted with no pain on Friday October 7th. A terrific doctor however, his office staff is horrible! They are rude and f/u after surgery has become a frustrating task. Previous staff was extremely professional and helpful ~ what happened?? In particular the young lady handling pre and post surgical issues

IT IS NOW 12 MONTHS SINCE DR. T. SCULCO PERFORMED MY TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT. THE SURGERY WAS 100% SUCESSFUL ON EVERY LEVEL. MY NEW HIP FEELS LIKE AN IRON HIP IN THAT, I WALK 3 MILES A DAY, I RIDE MY BIKE, I DANCE, I CLIMB 250 STEPS A DAY JUST TO KEEP MY THIGH MUSCLES STRONG AND TONED AND I HAVE NO PAIN, NO ACHES, NO PAIN MEDS. IT'S HARD TO DESCRIBE SCULCO, WORDS FAIL. HIS SKILL AS A SURGEON IS IMPECCABLEAND HE MAKES EVERYTHING GO SMOOTH, FROM START TO FINISH. HE'S COMPLETELY HONEST AND GENUINE.
