I had my left shoulder repaired by Dr Lenters in February 2023 and I'm healing very well,I will also have my right shoulder done by him.Both my husband and I have alot of confidence in him,and his staff well they were very informative and helpful. I highly recommend him.

Had rotator cuff surgery and arthritis taken out in September of 2022. Shoulder is at full range of motion and feels so much better. Almost done with physical therapy. Ive never felt better. Im so grateful he dud my surgery. He came highly recommended.

The shoulder was so good, I am going to have him replace the other shoulder! He delivers!

Dr. Lenters is very knowledgeable, friendly and explained my knee problem. He shows you the x-rays and points to all the problems with out being in a hurry. He gave me a cortisone shot which has worked. The office was very efficient and I got in within a reasonable time.

Dr. LENTERS WAS VERY HELPFUL HE DID NOT RUSH ME. HE EXPLAINED THINGS VERY WELL AND HE TOOK IMED. ACTION. HE DID NOT JUST PATRONIZE ME. OR TELL ME THAT I HAD A NON SURGICAL SHOULDER. HE WAS VERY MATTER OF FACT. THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG. THIS IS MY PLAN IF IT DOSEN'T WORK HERE IS PLAN B. ASKED FOR MY APROVAL AND PROCEED IMMEDIATELY. HE WAS VERY ENCOURAGING ABOUT THE INJECTION ESPECIALLY THAT HE WAS ABLE TO SEE THE PROBLEM SO CLEARLY. LETTING ME KNOW IT WAS NOT JUST IN MY HEAD. He expressed confidence that the surgery will greatly improve my ability to use my shoulders without discomfort. He provided detailed information about the preparation for and follow up to surgery. He was not able to give me a schedule for the surgery on my right shoulder, but informed me that a scheduler would be in contact with me. Dr Letters did a great job on my shoulder but I had more pain then I thought I should have so I went see Dr Letters and he showed me the X-ray . He showed me that there was was a fracture in my shoulder blade and said I don't know if told you or not after your surgery but you have a fracture due Osteoporosis that's why it hurts more and you will take a little longer to heal. Dr. Lenters is very knowledgeable and skilled shoulder specialist. He's been caring for my torn rotators since 2016, and everything he's told me has been right on target, including that I will eventually need a reverse replacement, which I've been trying to avoid, or at least delay. I went to him yesterday (11/4/2021), expecting the worst, but instead received great news! He said I'm a prime candidate for a new, procedure that will stabilize my shoulder without having a total replacement! He's never performed this procedure before, but I trust him 100%. It's minimally invasive, involving placing a saline-filled 'balloon' inside the joint. Simple, like a breast implant? Hehe. I would NOT recommend this surgeon to my worst enemy. My opinion is he has an incredibly poor bedside manner and a joint dislocation of a replaced shoulder within 3 months. Best part was he refused to personally see the patient and/or her family to explain what happened.

After numerous shoulder complications , and many surgeries on my right arm, including another shoulder replacement, but this next surgery will be reverse, but I know I’m in the best hands , Dr.Lenters is the most upfront, knowledgeable and trustworthy surgeon out there , very personable to , and you don’t see to much of that these days . It makes me the patient know that all the preliminary tests completed prior to a pretty big surgery, are for a great reason , he puts in all the necessary extra time , not only just for me , but for all his patients. to make sure everything is perfect and nothing is missed, his whole care team is also on top of everything , so you know from start to finish you are in good hands , I would recommend Dr.Lenters to anyone having shoulder pain or thinking they might be ready for surgery, there is no better !! Great guy. No sugar coating, straight forward, and very knowledgeable. My shoulder surgery went perfectly with zero issues. He and his staff are top notch and I would highly recommend letting Dr. Lenters cut you open.

I have had both of my shoulders replaced by Dr. Lenters, the left one in 2011, and the right one in 2020. Both replacements were due to arthritis. I have excellent range of motion in both shoulders now, and no more pain! He is an excellent surgeon, and is very caring of his patients.

My visit with Dr Lenters was an enjoyable experience. He explained my procedure and what to expect afterwards. I have the utmost confidence that I am going to be well cared for!

Dr Lenters is the reason I drive 2 1/2 hrs (on good day) He is very straight forward, no BS kind of guy, He Explains everything so you can understand what he’s saying, caring, and a cool sense of humor. So yes this man knows his stuff, and his surgery performance is superb, his whole Team is AWSOME just flipping Awesome, they make you so relaxed and comfortable, which really helps in post op recovery I believe. There always double checking each other, it’s just so re assuring to see such professionalism before your eyes shut for the surgery!!!! I have only high regards and respect for this wonderful doctor. Had a shoulder replacement done in June and felt confident and comfortable with the whole thing. I am 64 years old , suffered for years, had a reverse shoulder done and it was the best thing I have done. No physical therapy needed. Great office staff too!

Dr Lenters is the best Orthopedic Doctor in town. He listens to you and you listen to him. You come up with a plan and he is very respectful! I give the office a big thumbs up!

I have had a broken arm, two spots since Jan. 1st. Worked with Dr Guildie thru PT and ect who sent me to Dr Lenders So I have only seen him twice. I need reconstruct but befe this happens I have a couple obstacles to over come. One is smoking which is about in the bag and the other is my A1c. I may not have liked these words but know it must be done. I am trying to keep my family functioning and my husband's not able to help much with all his medical problems nor my son. Dr. Lenters did a bicep re-attachment on my right arm 9 years ago. I went in for warranty work on the attachment point. ( it was a unique attachment as the tendon was badly damaged ). I met with Dr. Lenters about a Rt shoulder issue. The conversation and diagnosis was good and my MRI results were reviewed and explained in a good way. He listened to my questions and concerns about the issue and gave a good explanation of what was going on.

Dr. Lenters did a complete left shoulder reversal replacement for me. I am so pleased. I have had several joints replaced due to arthritis and this one went very well. Dr Lenters' and his office was very communicative professional yet personable. When I asked to try to get in earlier they called back and we're able to get me an earlier appointment. Their multiple locations were a little confusing but their communication helps you through it.

Dr. Lenters is the best shoulder surgeon in Grand Rapids. He performed reversed total shoulder replacement surgery on me in July of 2020. Today, it's a year later and I'm still without pain and have full use of my arm. I normally don't write reviews but for this surgeon, I'll make an exception...Kurt G

Dr Lenters and his staff were unbelievably gracious and timely in getting me in to evaluate my recent shoulder injury so that I could see what my options were.

I am a retired Healthcare Professional. I spent many years providing Anesthesia for Orthopedic Surgeons in 17 States. I had been having significant pain in both shoulders, waking frequently at night because of it. I finally relented and sought help. I research the backgrounds of area Orthopods. I settled on seeking help from Dr. Lenters. He examined me and told me that I would most likely not benefit from surg. for several reasons (Surgeons make the main stay of their finances from doing surgery). He instead offered medial treatment with steroid injection. I thanked him for his honesty and had both Shoulders injected. Within a week the unrelenting pain was gone. I have to have this repeated about every 6 mos. I mostly want to address his kindness, honesty and professionalism. It is great to be able to sleep at night without awakening in pain. Thank you Dr. Lenters.

I had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder in early November of 2019 and although the surgery went well I now have a pocket of drainage at my left elbow that also has a protruding bone. I have called scheduling (no one ever answers) left 4 messages and no one has ever called me back.

My shoulder pain is still a constant lproblem for me on a daily basis. The shoulder and arm are very weak and causes me to drop and break anything I try to hold in my left hand. My hip and knees are the same, but the replaced knees swell everyday. My body pain has thrown me into the bowels of depression. I don't know how much more I can take.

Dr. Lenters has been very Professional from initial consult through the surgery. His Physician Assistant was very good as well as RVO's staff.

I had a wonder experiment. Everyone was so friendly and helpful in assisting me thru the process. My appointment and ct scan were done before my appointment time.

This guy is a quack. I was referred to him after having an MRI done on my shoulder that stated I had a full thickness tear of my rotator cuff. At my visit, looking directly at the MRI he told me there was nothing wrong with my shoulder and to just go back to psychical therapy. After getting a second opinion due to the constant pain in my shoulder I had a surgery to repair my rotator cuff that was being held together by threads. I would not recommend Dr Lenters to anyone

Had my shoulder replacement last year with no pain in the joint what a relief. He did a great job I highly recommend him. The incision is practically invisible.

I had shoulder surgery in the Fall of 2017. Dr Lenters did an excellent job. I am 100% pain free and enjoying life again. Golfing, lifting weights, hiking...you know living again! I highly recommend Dr. Lenters- He is the best doctor you'll find.

I found and chose Dr. Lenter after an exhaustive search and vetting process. There are so few "shoulder only" specialists in our region, and he is one. I am a 58 year old male, and underwent a Total Shoulder Replacement with Dr. Lenters at St. Mary Hospital in Grand Rapids. My overall experience and outcome to date is a 10 on a 1-10 scale. My arthritic pain is gone, and I am confident that diligently following my rehab as prescribed will one day open activities previously "off-limits" to me.

Dr. Lenters is the definition of a specialist. He reconstructed my shoulder which was inoperable due to every tendon being torn loose from the rotar cuff, including the bicep. 6 months after surgery i have total movement in my shoulder without any pain. I can never thank him enough for his expertise.

After our family doctor referred me to Dr. Lenters, MD I placed my total confidence in his ability to replace my right shoulder which had been been repaired one year ago, the shoulder never was right and so I opted for replacement, the surgery was almost painless, as the Doctor had explained, the recovery was very swift and after two months I am almost back to my old self. The follow up has been sensational and all of his staff have been first class. Thanks to all Tom Deater

Dr. Lenders was there for me when another doctor said that nothing was wrong with my shoulder. He did a scope and found a torn rotator cuff and bicep. Getting ready to start p.t. but have no pain. Thank you, Dr. Lenders!!!

I had reverse shoulder surgery last June and Dr. Lenters was my surgeon. I am so happy with results of my new shoulder. I would highly recommend him . If I ever had to have my other shoulder done he's the only I would go to. My shoulder feels great and I have the strength back in it that I didn't have before. I'm back to doing most everything that I did before my shoulder was damaged.

Very courteous and professional. More importantly, excellent surgeon, who also takes the time to explain procedure and recovery expectations. I had a arthroscopic right rotator cuff repair that was very successful. My pain was minimal and well controlled, no infection or complications, my shoulder/arm feel great, and I have little to no limitations in strength or flexibility .
