Dr. Timothy Garth Abrahamson

Dr. Abrahamson is the single worst doctor I’ve ever had, and the reception is as apathetic as it gets.

I’m surprised by the number of negative reviews based on my personal experience. I actually saw Dr. A when I was in high school and remember him being thorough and kind. Side note: make sure your nail technicians clean their tools between clients. My mom went recently concerning a allergic reaction and was given comprehension care. The employees are probably technically competent but I'm never going back. Bedside manor is horrible. They just tell you to go buy a bunch of over the counter products - why do I have insurance if I'm just getting my 'medicine' over the counter? The doctors don't listen to you and also talk over you. I never really got the feeling they cared if their prescribed treatment worked for me or not and I had been a loyal patient for 4-5 years. Saw Dr. Abraham's for second time in around two years. Totally satisfied both times. His treatment cleared my skin problems up both times. Wanted to know if I had any questions or Concerns. I don't think he spoke to me directly during the 30 second visit. I asked what a couple of things were and he just spoke to his staff and told them to give me a handouts.

I loved my experience here! I had a mole on my back that was annoying and I wanted to have it looked at. I debated if I should make the appointment or not. I am SO GLAD I went! Dr. Abrahamson was very thorough and explained everything in great detail. I was only there like 15 minutes and they removed it right there on the spot! It was so quick, easy and painless. I couldn't have had a better experience. I will be sending many of my friends and family to this office! I loved my experience here! I find it bizarre that every negative review renders the owner's response of "haven't seen this patient". Obviously you have. Own that you are receiving bad reviews and try to find a way to correct this negative perception already. I'm with the other negative reviewers on the behavior of all members at this clinic.

I went to Dr. Abrahamson once for incrustations on my back, as they were itching and irritated from scratching with a metal scratcher, because I couldn't see them or reach them. My general doctor used to use liquid nitrogen on a Q-Tip and dab them free of charge. This doctor squirts them with a can of liquid nitrogen and never has you return to see if anything he did became irritated or even worked. I have one that has turned into quite a bump on my back right at my waistline that is irritated by rubbing on my clothes, but I dread going back to visit him. I didn't like his demeanor towards older patients; like we don't matter. I am a young 68, love to swim...but didn't feel this doctor cared at all about how I felt about my looks. Just worried about making his money. I highly doubt that I'll be going back anytime soon, even if this thing turns out to be cancerous. He just didn't seem to have any time to spare. I ask him about any blackheads on my back, as my mom had terrible deep deep ones on her spine that just wouldn't come out. She started getting them when she was about 80 years old. Dr. Abrahamson told me I was past the age of having to worry about getting those, which I know firsthand isn't true. He seemed quite in a hurry to move on to the next patient. Guess I need to find a female doctor that understand how women feel abut their looks. Very thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Awesome down to earth Doctor! Straight forward, patient focused, and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Abrahamson is great. He asks a lot of good questions to find out the root of the issue and his team is friendly and works hard to help patients.

He's SO knowledgeable, I'd never go to anyone else.ive been going to him for about 5 years. I know a couple of people who were going to him and had great things to say. I've went to 2 other dermatologists in the Des Moines area prior and didn't have luck with either. He's very down to earth, and friendly.

I have gone to Dr. Abrahamson for around 10 years. From minor bumps to more serious issues, he has always been knowledgeable, professional, and caring. His staff, from reception to nurses, have been kind and professional as well. I've had family members that have gone to Dr. A as well, and all have had good experiences.

Late to multiple appointments and unapologetic for that.

Excellent experience! We got in very quickly for something that needed to be taken care of right away for my teenage son. Dr. Abrahamson was very friendly and professional and made my son feel at ease. I would definitely recommend Dr. Abrahamson!

Today was my first visit with Dr. Abrahamson, and definitely not my last. (I had some spots I was a little worried about, since my family has a history of skin cancer,) He was very professional, knowledgeable, and gave me more than enough time to ask questions. He was very thorough with his answers. He also made sure I went home with additional information and sites for any other questions that may pop up before my next visit.

Amazing! He was able to remove a wart from the bottom of my foot that two other dermatologists didn't have success with. He is professional and knowledgeable and I highly recommend him!

I think he's a wonderful doctor I've been going to him over 8 years now he always seems to know exactly who I am. not just another patient coming through the door he always has time to listen to my concerns and answered my questions. Exceptional doctor and his concern for his patients.

Dr. Abrahamson talks with you as a patient - not at you. He is very perceptive and gives excellent advice.

He has worked great with both of my teenagers wo had severe acne. They like him! He is friendly & knows his business. Prompt in getting people in & out for appointment time.

Dr. Abrahamson is an excellent dermatologist. Since I saw him first in 2009, he's been consistently knowledgeable, friendly and great with questions and telling you what you need to know.
