Dr Kennard is the best GP I have had in many years. He listens and he cares.

I was looking for a new PCP since I moved so I went in for annual physical at this location a few weeks back. location was clean and the staff was nice the physical went as usual and the doctor asked me if I had any other concerns I said not really then he started asking me about my family history so I told him and I also told him I need a new PCP hence I disclosed some of my medical history thinking this would be my new PCP. So now I have a bill for $185 BECAUSE I SPOKE ABOUT THINGS OUT SIDE OF ANNUAL PHYSICAL 25 years of doing this never heard of such a things but apparently it is. I have never rated a doctor before but given our experience I feel it necessary to share this experience with you. In November 2017 my wife and I decided to get an annual checkup. I had not had a physical in over a decade and my wife insisted now that I reached my 50s. We had to fill out some paperwork and at the bottom of one of the forms was a checkbox indicating that we did not want any additional services outside of the annual preventive checkup (don't recall the exact wording). Dr. Kennard is a great doctor. He listens to you intently, takes detailed notes and never rushes you during your appointment. What is not okay, the reason for the four star rating, is Carolina Healthcare System saying a doctor, like Kennard, cannot treat chronic conditions. Isn't that why he has the degree? All because of their fears. So, if you are a chronic pain patient, you will be sent to pain management. Simple as that! Stand up, docs! Fight for us like we are fighting for you!

My husband and I are very pleased with the care that Dr. Kennard provides. He is a warm inviting individual that really seems to care about our health. He is well informed and answers all questions on the spot. He never makes you feel rushed and I like that. His concern makes me motivated to be healthier and make better choices on a daily basis. We are very pleased and plan to stay with him as long as humanly possible. We recommend him highly and appreciate his professionalism with a smile.

I was able to get a quick appointment and was looking for a Primary. Dr. Kennard did not rush the appointment, saw me promptly, and was very informative. He has the soft-skills that is important to me. He addressed my concerns and was professional. In addition his staff were very friendly and professional, which is very important to me.
