The West Institute is THE place for dermatology! I’ve just completed my 4th treatment for a portwine birthmark removal and we’re seeing great results. Dr. West is an excellent doctor who explains everything in detail and is enthusiastic about results. She’s got a great personality and is always a pleasure to chat with. When I go see her I know I’m getting the latest and greatest treatments and that she is highly skilled in the procedure!

Dr. West is a Fairy Godmother with a syringe AND the party does not end at midnight. I started following Dr. West on Instagram and decided to make an appointment after my last round of Botox left me feeling meh. I went in for a laser treatment but she guided me towards a filler. The results made me look brighter, more awake and healthy. My second visit I received Botox and lip filler. Everything is really natural and I am delighted with the result. Dr. West is the only dermatologist that recommended a follow up visit. Her products are fantastic. Love her tinted sunscreen. Parking in Chevy Chase can be a pain but I promise you will love the result.

I shouldn’t have waited! Dr West is nothing short of a genius with the art of fillers and Botox - areas of my face that I’d never considered treating - she showed me how my face was lacking proportion and balance and the results were amazing! And those nasty bruises you can get sometimes with injections- she zapped them and 24 hours later they were completely gone. I’m so glad I am now a patient of Dr West.

I’m a West regular and I’m all in with regular maintenance procedures and their product line. Don’t waste your money and time with department store or drug store products that may or may not be working - keep it simple and effective with West.

Very disappointing experience. Before I could even go into the office. There were so many different version. Initially I called to inquire about treatment. The person that picked phone said there will be 270 consult fee. And I specially asked if it will be applied towards treatment. And the person answered the phone said yes. I called the second time and spoke with Tina, she said no. I explained to her I was interested in ultherapy. She said she will get back. She did and said that usually they don’t but this time they are honoring it. I called back to ask about micro needling. She said that it is only for ultherapy. Does it matter what treatment I get if I am coming for consultation and you have honored the fee towards treatment. I know what treatment I want done. What is the issue if you have honored it. I guess you can call me a “skin care junkie.” I’ve tried hundreds of skincare products, mostly medical-grade and those with clean ingredients. The Skin Weekly: Refine + Shine Advanced Pads at the West Institute are insanely good. I personally have reactive skin with some hyperpigmentation and melasma from my past pregnancies. This stuff instantly diminishes some of the discoloration, makes the pores appear smaller and alleviates congested pores. It beats the iconic Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta pads, Paula’s Choice 2% BHA and many of the other acids on the market. I can’t say enough about this product. It’s a ride or die and you can always find it in my skincare roster. I have seen Amy for dysport/wrinkles treatment and I can truly say she is the best! She is very knowledgeable, comforting during the procedure and I have never had better results! I recommend her to anyone looking for anti aging treatments and injectables.

Dr. West and her team are wonderful. I’ve had microblading, lip filler, and botox done at the West Institute and the results are better than I could have hoped for. The front desk ladies are always so kind and welcoming. I never thought I would see the day when I no longer needed to fill in my brows and Chelsea made that happen for me! I visited Dr West in her Aspen, Colorado office. I wish I could give Dr West more than 5 stars. I absolutely loved Dr West and her medial assistant, Tracy. Their service was exceptional, and the results were incredible. Her experience and expertise are unparalleled. She was able to quickly assess my “trouble” spots around my mouth and with filler, was able to achieve near perfection with subtlety. I also had the INFINI neck tightening procedure and my neck looks pretty spectacular after only 2/4 treatments. I have been doing CoolSculpt at The West Institute since fall 2019. I decided to start doing it 1 year before my wedding in November 2020 and continued doing a few more sessions after that. What I love the most about Dr. West is her conservative approach. Her work looks natural and not overdone. Omg!!! I went to have my brows micro bladed with Chelsea and let me just say this girly is a MAGICIAN!! I was so nervous because I have seen some really scary brows but let me tell you... My brows look as if they grew out of my skin!! They look so so natural.. I can hardly stay out of the mirror!! Chelsea YOU ROCK!!!!

The West Institute’s EMSCULPT device is a great core strengthener, especially if you want to start working out again after a long layoff or even just to tone your abdomen without going to the gym. In just one 30 short minute treatment, it’s the equivalent of doing 20,000 sit-ups (really, truly!!). After only one office treatment, my abdomen muscles were stronger and more toned; after just 2 more treatments, my stronger core helped me “attack” the hills better when I was exercising outside or even just walking our dogs. Four treatments in total is the usual course. The easily-tolerated treatment (two electronic “paddles” placed on your stomach exterior with a Velcro belt that cause your stomach muscles to contract just like you’re doing sit-ups) is easy because you know what to expect and time just flies by (but Dr. West’s ace medical assistant Tracy still explains it to you each time and monitors your in-treatnent progress and comfort level). The LightStim Bed at the West Institute was a great experience. The bed is warm, but not hot and the warmth seems very penetrating. That feeling, which you get all over your body in the bed, seems to create an intense physical relaxation which then leads to a nice serene mental state. I'll do it again.

Dr. West is a phenomenal dermatologist! I had a surgical procedure on my neck, which left a sizable scar. After just a few laser treatment appointments with Dr. West, you could not - and still cannot - see the scar without looking very, very closely. The results are incredible and I cannot recommend Dr. West enough!

Chelsea was recommended to me by my dermatologist to help me with my acne, and she has been amazing!!! My acne is almost completely cleared up after a few visits! When I walked into the West Institute for the first time I was blown away. Everything is so lovely and chic and the staff is absolutely amazing they are so sweet and knowledgeable. I initially came because I was interested in getting acne scar laser treatments and it turns out Dr. West LITERALLY wrote the book on the use of the pulsed dye laser for acne! Google it! Upon meeting Dr. West I was blown away by her expertise. I’ve done Botox, Filler. Two rounds of the acne laser and also an incredible hydro-facial with the other Tina, her fabulous and sweet aesthetician. Point blank I would never go anywhere else ever again. I am 19 years old who has recurring eczema, which has periods of terrible flareups. At the suggestion of Medical Aesthetician, Chelsea (who has taught me to protect and take care of my skin early on), I tried the LightStim treatment to reduce inflammation. I am so happy that I gave this a try. After several treatments, I no longer wake up during the night because of excessive itching. If you're on the fence about whether or not you should get a facial here, because maybe it's more than you would typically spend, think of it this way - one quality, effective facial by a consummate professional is better than 2 or 3 fluffy, feel-good facials that offer no lasting results. Chelsea is the difference, along with the products and technology offered at the West Institute. She's passionate about skincare, and she knows her stuff. I had my first facial with her recently. My major concerns were texture and melasma and she knew just how to treat it with the most effective peel for my skin. My skin felt great after I left her office, but the real results showed up the next morning. I woke up to brighter and more even skin! Let me first start by sharing, this is my very first time writing a review, of anything. I personally rely on reviews before I make a decision, so I definitely can appreciate how important they are. That said, I feel very compelled to share my experience working with Chelsea so that it can help someone else who has a similar situation to me. Chelsea literally solved one of my biggest insecurities since being a teen (I’m 35 now). I was someone that never suffered from severe acne, my issue was mild and stubborn ache. The meds, topical ointments, etc that dermatologists prescribed were always too strong, going to high end spas to get facials were just not effective and were always really expensive and lastly I was wasting so much time and energy on over the counter products. The skin on my face was such a huge pain point for me! NOTHING ever worked until my first appointment with Chelsea. I remember one of the things she said during our appointment was, “I am results driven”. I immediately felt so relieved. She customized a facial based on my skin type and needs, and I say this with no exaggeration, I immediately saw results after my first appointment!!!! I never thought it was possible! My skin was glowing and the stubborn ache was beginning to clear up. After just a few more visits with her, all the acne was gone! She not only worked her magic during the facials, but she developed a customized skin care routine, providing me with an exact step by step guide of the products I should be using. The products are a little pricey, but completely worth ever penny. I cannot live with out them! She is very attentive and takes her time - very relaxing - one of my favorite ways to take a "spa-cation." I also like the fact that she does not up sell products. I just book an appointment and go - she looks over my face and does what ever needs to get done, and I leave looking refreshed. Dr. West is also great for treatments spanning from reversing the signs of aging, to getting rid of post acne marks on your skin. Dr West is the only dermatologist I trust for all my skin care needs! As an alpine climber who is exposed to the elements frequently, my skin needed a lot of TLC when I moved to DC. Though I live almost 40 minutes away, after three years I still make the trek to the West Institute every few months. I decided to book a consultation with Dr. Tina West about ten years ago based on a friend’s recommendation and I have been singing Dr. West’s praises since! I had always admired my friend’s skin and youthful appearance - she did not have a wrinkle in sight ,despite the fact that she was much older than me. I was floored when my friend told me that she had been going to Dr. West for decades, as she looked so natural. She described Dr. West as a true artist and I unequivocally agree! My initial consultation with Dr. West, which turned out to be my first treatment, was miraculous. It was instant gratification. I walked out of the office looking and feeling at least ten years younger. My most recent visit was no different. I came in with an idea of what I thought would be helpful, but instead I took her expert recommendations and left feeling youthful and looking great – all in about an hour or so.
